I like how they had Caboose on fire. However, that begs the question, why hasn't anyone run around while on fire in RvB before?! I mean, I can understand why they didn't do it in Blood Gulch Chronicles (No incendiary weapons), but they had access to Flamethrowers and Incendiary grenades all throughout Reconstruction and Relocated.

Because only Caboose can do it well?

Well yeah, but there were a million and one opportunities to ignite people in Reconstruction and Relocated. Rather than dying off-screen, wouldn't it have been funnier if Jo-en-es had run out of the brig on fire and collapsed near Wash? Or if Grif's burning body had fallen off the top of Red Base?

I know about the Flamethrower, but I don't remember the Fuel Rod Gun causing opponents to burn.

I stated that they were in halo PC for 2 reasons:
1. There were included in muliplayer only in Halo for the PC
2. The Fuel rod launcher was the cheapest, noobish, *long line of rolling insults has been censored and cut out* thing included in the multiplayer game

I'm not certain how this series will play out, I'm hoping it has more comedy than recon did.

Why yes, stupid ad bot, there IS a new episode...stupid ad bot.

Nothing majorly huge, actually, even for a series premier. The Reds try to decide whether or not to wipe out the Blue team, while Caboose admits he's been taking parts from the ship, but still won't tell anyone what's he's working on.

It seems like a trend, series premiers lacking an explanation for something at the end of the previous series. Reconstruction didn't explain what happened to a lot of characters since Blood Gulch Chronicles, Relocated didn't explain what happened to Church and Wash, and Recreation didn't explain what exactly was going on with Caboose.

Just watched the episode from Monday. I won't spoil anything too much...

Washington lived.

At the same time, something I've suspected for a while has been confirmed; they weren't thrown into the future at Sidewinder. I mean, Sarge thought it up. And Vic supported it, and when is it okay to take something Vic says at face value?

Ladies and Gentlemen: Red vs. Blue: Season 9:

You remember when this was a series about guys dropping the F-Bomb at each other, and occasionally they'd shoot at each other?

I think I peed a little. Monty Oum is clearly pulling out all the stops. I'm not even sure how much of that is actual game footage.

I'm glad to see more of York.

But my hope is this is all Wash telling the reds and blues about project freelancer, not just a jump back in time. Also getting to see more reasons behind why Wash shot south in cold blood is a good promise.

Could be a bit of both. The Blood Gulch Regulars all appear in the Trailer, though the fact that Church and Donut are both still alive as well as everyone being back at Blood Gulch means it could be a straight prequel. Or it's a setup for a joke. ("Yes, Wash, we know. We were there.")

Most of the Freelancers were already antagonistic towards each other. That, and Recovery One showed that not only did South leave her own brother for dead just to save her own ass, (basically handing over North's AI to the Meta in the process) she also did the same to Wash, and likely would have kept doing it. That, and Wash has a tendency to overreact to certain things. (Did he really have to kill Donut?)

Just saw the season 9 trailer. Wasn't expecting a prequel story, nor that they take this farther and farther from the concept of Machinima. But rather than be a purist, I will just say this: This looks epic!

Hey, the first episode is up! And it's pretty vintage RvB, too, at least until the last couple seconds.

One note about this series: It's both sequel and prequel. The sequel stuff takes place after last season, and will be done entirely in traditional machinima, using Halo Reach, as well as a handful of special effects done in post. (Which the series has been doing since forever, so it's not like it's a new thing) The prequel bits take places...well, before Season 1, obviously, and those will be done entirely in Monty Oum style.
