The lesson here? Even non fans will give you purely subjective opinions. After all, that is all that entertainment and opinions are: Subjective.

They just confirm what I assumed it was going to be like and why I've been so pessimistic. Quick-cuts and odd camera angles that make it difficult to make-out what you're watching during action scenes, silly over-the-top humor, very little story, "the illogical chases..., the crazy authority figure (John Turturro, in his worst role I have seen), the nonstop-shouting-as-witty-dialogue".
If you haven't seen a bad review yet, you might want to check the talkback. There's a very brief, very angry one that says basically the same as the 2 feutured reviewers... only with a different conclusion.

Apex Convoy wrote:Okay...I also liked Independance Day and Armageddon. I don't really understand why people are bashing the plot of that movie. Here it is: Big asteroid. Oil drillers needed to drill hole to put nukes in asteroid so earth doesn't die. Bruce Willis dies to save the earth.
That's the plot. What do you expect from a movie about a giant asteroid? Please, people, be realistic. This kind of movie isn't about the plot, which I'm glad for, because after Pirates and Spiderman, both of which I liked, I've had about all the twisting and turning plots I can handle. I'm ready to simply be entertained by a movie this summer. This is looking like another 300, but with robots and humor. Bring it on.
