A couple of things..

1- It seems your convinced that the book is a play by play of the full movie. BUt Intill you actually see the movie, (Or you were on set and had part in writing the script) you really cant coment on how "Misleading" the trailers are. And if they are misleading, that just makes it better. Not everyone needs to know everything before hand.

2- Its been proven in the past that the books are not carbon copies of the movie. Things can change real quick.

Its like you take pleasure in taking every opertunity to prove the trailers or any information wrong. I mean do you have to coment on every little aspect? Just go see the movie on the 29th and then coment on whats the same, or different.

Cause it would've saved their planet/race as well, from getting all the energon from our sun, that's what Megatron said.

Ok that makes sense, Megatron just took the first option he could in order to get energon to save Cybertron. But that brings up a different question for me. What did the Fallen want? Did he just want to destroy Earth because his brothers told him no? I read Defiance and he didn't seem too interested in the well-being of Cybertron or other transformers; I looked it up on the Teletraan 1 wiki and it doesn't say much besides the movie plot.

I won't spoil it for you, because it would expose a huge plot point. So, with that kind of restraint, it'll be hard for me to explain it.

The best way I can is this: It's in the comic, the script, the novel and pieces of it are in the trailers and commercials.

Unlike TF1 or ROTF, in which both deviated somewhat from the reading material, this film seems to be following right along with the source material.

And the characters and scenes we're talking about? So huge, so shocking, so momentous, there's no way it will change once the film hits. When you see it, your jaw will drop, and you will be completely shocked.

Oh, and one more thing...the new stills that were released today, further confirm that the novel and comic are in step with the film.

It's not about being know it alls, or knowing secrets, it's about us knowing the truth and when we politely try to tell people they're in for a shock and then come back with a rude demeanor...we get a little pissed.

If you knew what we knew, and I know why you don't want to, you'd agree with us. We know what we know, and no amount of wishful thinking will change it. Not one bit.

And what we know, is the reason why this person (or persons) are not shown in the Chicago scenery. Now that's not me posting a spoiler, that's pointing out a fact that's been shown time and again in trailers and commercials.

No this is different, you can't really argue without reading my spoiler tags. These particular scenes are exactly the same as in the adaptations but have been re-arranged to appear to be related to each other.

Well i haven't read the novel, so i guess technically your right. I can't just outright deny that what anything you guys have said isn't true/going to happen as the novel says it will. But in my experience with novels based on movies, there never a play by play of the actual movie. So thats where my doubts come in that the novel is a play by play of the movie.

In your defense, you've been alot more subtle about than Starscream GaGa. (sorry to name names, but its true) It seems every time a new clip is posted, still etc, she feels the need to post up a spoiler (she used to do without spoiler tags) and start rants on how Bay is lieing or misleading us. Like she and others like her are deliberately trying to spoil thing for those that want to be surprised.

That pisses me off. Let me believe what i want to believe. If it turns out different than what i was expecting, then thats just going to add to the movie experience. But every time a new trailer comes out i don't need someone trying to tell me play by play what it is, or how its misleading me, or how Bay is lieing, etc. This is supposed to be the best of the 3 movies, and i don't need people trying to prove this wrong with spoilers.

He, lol.

I'm a little insulted, I have never posted a spoiler without spoiler tags and in this situation I haven't ranted or even directly stated what parts of the trailers are misleading unless in spoiler tags.

It's a thread about a trailer, I'm discussing the trailer. It's common sense that spoilered people MAY discuss differences or what scenes the clips come from, don't like it, don't go in the thread.

Ok back. Yeah, ultimately whether a film is spoiled pre-release or not is not the point. Most people will not want to know what happens and it's incredibly rude to disregard that. I've done my best to avoid spoilers and when I must use them, censor them.

There were a couple instances were you did. Both were concerning the possibility of certain character appearing, or not appearing in the movie. Someone else had made coments of you spoiling things so you went back and placed a "spoiler" tag. (well, i don't know if this was you or the mods, but it was done.

Starscream GaGa wrote:Northing's wrong with it, I was just commenting that I found how misleading the trailers have been amusing...

Just cause you didn't post up the part is becides the point. Your making claims that the trailer doesn't tell the story it perceives. I don't need to know that. Let me believe what i want.

Starscream GaGa wrote:What exactly has been spoiled for you? Again, unless you read my spoiler tgas you won't really know what I'm talking about.

Again, thats not the point. Its the rants and constant telling that were being mislead.

Starscream GaGa wrote:It's a thread about a trailer, I'm discussing the trailer. It's common sense that spoilered people MAY discuss differences or what scenes the clips come from, don't like it, don't go in the thread.

No its not. Its comon sence that in a trailer thread, people are going to discuss whats in the trailer, not what a seperate book/comic/kids coloring book possibly contradicts. There's a huge difference in speculating from what you see in a trailer/still, then bringing in another source of material.

x3. Personaly, i just don't get why anyone would want to read the novel in the first place if they plan on seeing the movie anyhow. Especially if those individuals believe its play by play.

See, by this logic all I have to do is change my wording and you'd have to stop bitching about what I said:

"I'm speculating that the trailer is misleading because certain scenes in the trailer were present in the adaptations, but have been placed in sequence in the trailer to suggest they're in relation to one another."

See? I'm discussing what's in the trailer. Honestly, if you're so scared of spoilers stay clear of the Movie forum until the 29th.

If people don't wanna be spoiled, then don't read threads related to info on the movie. It's that persons choice whether or not to click on that thread, so being spoiled is a huge possibility cuz there's info related to the movie. Don't wanna be spoiled, don't click on the threads, don't read the information, then there's no reason to complain. Simple as that.

Well, regardless of whether you agree about spoiler tags, discussing the book vs. movie etc., telling someone to shut over it is completely wrong and doesn't help the situation. I think things have been fairly civil up until then.

Back on topic, To a point, i do agree that to some level, some things are going to be spoiled this close to the movie. But those things are usually minor that don't have a huge plot point. But major things such as main plots points can still be kept secret, as well as letting people believe what they want from the related trailer/still without someone coming in a trying to correct them with what they believe is a known fact. Oh well. people are going to do what they want regardless of it being common courtesy to just let them believe what they want.

This is the second or third time you've brought this up, once referencing one of my posts, this time replying right after mine.

So, I can't help but feel that's aimed at me. It was never my intention to sway you or make you think differently. If that's how it felt, I apologize because it wasn't my intention.

But, I will say this, if you have your own mind...can't you believe what you want and ignore what some of us have to say?

I can't speak for GaGa, but I'm not trying to take your joy away from the experience, and it was never my intention, and quite frankly, it makes me angry to read such a ridiculous thing.

Like you said, spoilers are running rampant closer to the film's release. If you want to avoid them, don't come to these threads. That's as simple as I can make it.

Actually, i wasn't aimed at you. It was just a general statement regarding how i felt some regard posting up spoiler. But looking back i can see how you might have percieved that i was directing my post directly at you. That wasn't my intension and i apoligise if thats how you took it.

Well to a point i do, but at the same time, it can be a bit hard to ignore something that someone strongly believes to be fact and at the same time telling you that you can't believe what your seeing.

You Autobot032? NO. I don't believe that was ever your intention. If i suggested that at any time, i apoligise. GaGa on the other hand... Ya. I think i've covered my feeling on his intensions.

Like i said in my previous post your very stuble about anything you post up. And to be honest, up intill this thread, i didn't put in the same catagory as those that can't help but try and contradict trailer threaads and such.

Autobot032 wrote: Like you said, spoilers are running rampant closer to the film's release. If you want to avoid them, don't come to these threads. That's as simple as I can make it.

Again, to a point i agree. And while its not what i preffer, i might just avoid the forums completely intill the 30th. But like i said eariler, small things i can understand. But major plot spoilers that are "jaw dropping" as you call it :P , i don't believe need to be brought up on a thread concerning a new 30 sec. trailer. But again, at this point i guess it really doesn't matter what i believe should be done, but what the reality of the subject is.

I apreaciate both you and GaGa at least being civil in this debate. You could have taken greater offense to my coments, not to meantion the coments from ROARBO and Sly alot differently, but neither of you did. Thats cool. I salute that. :APPLAUSE:

Ok back. Yeah, ultimately whether a film is spoiled pre-release or not is not the point. Most people will not want to know what happens and it's incredibly rude to disregard that. I've done my best to avoid spoilers and when I must use them, censor them.

Simple as that.

one. shut up
two- shut up
people can click and read comments but if people want to spoil the movie use spoiler tags shut up

Plus:...shut up! 8)

im sorry, but telling people, oh you will be susprised if you think that, or oh the book is different, is spoiling the movie for others.

No, it really isn't.

If he's right and the book deviates from the film, then nothing is lost.

Making a generalized statement of "you'll be surprised" is not spoileriffic. It's a statement, neither positive nor negative. Merely a statement.

Telling someone the book is different has the potential to be spoileriffic, but really it also falls under the statement area.

Don't go picking fights, you'll lose.

EDIT: I should clarify. Cruiser and I both said our piece, we both know where the other is coming from and things were smoothed out. Peace was kept. There's no need for you to come in here and reopen the can of worms.
