That's what I was thinking. But it's been so long since I'd purchased from Takara, I couldn't remember where the line was drawn for sure. And that chest looks a bit sticker-y. Anyway, preordered :D

I think this Ratbat would make a good Leozack custom. The head just screams LZ to me.

Only the Arms Micron line of Prime has stickers, it's all part of the DIY/customising approach that's all the rage among younger kids in Japan.
Top 5 Priorities:

1) BW Neo X-7 Elphaorpha
2) BW II VS-18 Powerhug vs. Autocrusher
3) Universe 2003 Night Slash Cheetor
4) RiD Landfill (regular, not the yellow)
5) BW Convobat (red) & Megalligator (purple)

Also looking for any clear Arms Microns, like Shadow (Gora & R.A.), Hellflame and Shining (O.P. and R.A.).

Preparing to move to the US!

Grimlock is still rather meh and IMO not worth buying, but that Ratbat looks really nice.

He's a retool of Generations Scourge. In the G1 cartoon, Scourge had two animation models for both vehicle and robot modes. Occasionally, the older one would be used by accident, and it's the older one that had the head sticking out in the back. The feature is an intentional callback to that.

As a big fan of what IDW has done and is doing with the franchise's history and lore, that Ratbat deserves a place of my desk, out of any displays (as it doesn't really fit it in anywhere else).

Yes, I might preorder him, in his shiny shiny purpleness. Luvly.
