No, he's a character from the Exiles book, which just like the two mmos are in the same universe as Prime, and the leader of said Pirate faction.

Megatron is the only one I've seen where it doesn't look all that terrible, and still the Japanese release has a much better looking cannon. (one of them, anyway. Darkness Megs maybe? Or is there one where it's not a Micron at all?)

Don't get me wrong, Thundertron's massively cool and everything, but what's with that leg? It's a peg-leg in robot mode, but from where I see, it's a regular leg in lion mode! How does that make sense?

Thundertron looks like one of the 13 primes or something. I mean really.

Ah yes, I was wondering where I'd seen that symbol before.

I get that these Star Seekers are their own faction, but are they closer to Decepticons or Autobots? Or are they typical pirates and do whatever is in their best interests?

All four of these figures look pretty good. I'd buy them all on the strengths of their bios alone. Thundertron I'll get based on his significance in the various media. Magnus I'll get if only to encourage the desire for him to get more original molds.

Neither. Although a Decepticon, Axer, does joint the Tidal Wave crew in Transformers: Exiles.

As the bio says, Thundertron just hates Cybertronians.

according to the books they are upset about the cybertronians abandoning them. they will attack anyone from cybertron.

Surely the fact that they all have Meh-Tech weapons means they'll get a western release?

Anyway I want all of them, especially Magnus!

Not necessarily. Having mechtech weps is Hasbro's thing with RiD Voyagers. But Hasbro's releasing Asian exclusives in the Generations line, so there's unfortunately a possibility that these will also be Asian exclusive.

Remember, these aren't Japanese toys(TakaraTomy's domain)

Well they'd be bloody stupid not to. If they don't get a western release then Hasbro's head of marketing should be sacked!

You're talking about a company that's flooding the shelves with bumblebees. Far more than kids will buy. I don't think being smart is high on their priorities right now.

More useless mechtech weapons. Why can't they make them transformable and lock into place.

I hope those missiles on Magnus' forearms can attach to his shoulders a la G1
Something tells me that Thundertron is going to appear in the show, seeing as he is a massively obscure character that otherwise is unnecessary for the Prime line. I hope Magnus appears as well seeing as according to his cyberverse bio he sounds like the leader of the Wreckers

By that logic Deadend should appear too. Which would be cool.

His right rear leg is his peg leg. Left rear leg is his left bot leg.

Anyhow....I'm all about Thundertron. I think his alt mode might be a little weak in the poseability department but thems the breaks i guess. Typical beast wars stuff really. I'm just happy to get a non vehicle transformer again. Plus an obscure one too boot. Bot mode is pretty cool and the colours are great. The Star Seeker faction symbol is a pretty exciting feature i must say. I love me some sub-groups.

Ultra Magnus raised a brow as well.
