I watched both review videos posted in this tread, and I am glad to hear that it's a solid figure. I really appreciate Encline's description of the overly tight ratcheting and his quick fix. Was really cool to see Ben's use of Henkei, G1, and original PM Prime, as well as the "stand-alone" version. There's simply an option for everyone, which in itself is quite a task.

So, I'm looking forward to picking this up at some point. Have the recent reviews changed anyone's mind on these? Think any Stateside retailer will pick up on this, or are they still burned by the Grand Patriot release?

I have 3 of them and no Classics Prime. Long ago ToyArena had Henkei Prime instock (even before the reissue) for the longest time and for a very reasonable price (close to the original price) so I ordered several. One for DIA Commander, one for a KO DIA Commander that I modded to be a Powermaster Prime (which I'm going to now use for this), and one to stand alone in bot mode next to United Megatron. He's by far my favorite figure/mold from the CHUG (or whatever the hell you call it) line to date.

I have to applicable Primes. A Classics Prime I got off ebay when he was cheap and a Henkei Prime that was from when they reissued him, but later on when he was more expencive than he first was.

However, there's KOs you can buy. There's a second run that looks better than the first set. Or you could just get a cheapo KO Prime for $12. It's just going to sit in place, so it doesn't really need to be perfect.

Very true, a KO Henkei Prime (as long as the chrome on the grill is decent) would be perfect for a set like this.

Mine arrived today. I haven't had much chance to play with the set yet, but I have him combined with Henkei Prime and he looks awesome !

I also figured out a way to somewhat hide the leg kibble (the wheels etc.) on the outside of the legs to improve the look.

He feels quite solid and looks amazing.

The PM Prime trailer could be fit with a G1 Optimus. Can this trailer hold a G1 Prime stably?

I assume it can, but I've not yet tried. It's quite adjustable given how the mechanism for holding the cabs in place in bot mode works. The instructions only show combining with Henkei/Classics Prime, but I've seen pics and video of G1 and Ginrai/Powermaster Prime's cab used with this set as well.

I cracked and oredered one after watching the video review. I love me some Powermaster Prime; I hope that version of Classics Prime with the Powermaster in the grill region is forthcoming.
