Good news? FOC Shockwave. :KREMZEEK:

He'll be the last release of the FoC line, and the retailers will say "We want a line that lasts longer than two waves. Give us something else instead."

And you'll all say "FOC you Hasblow!"

Damn, well the DOTM lines was disappointing ass it was anyhow. I mean when all you start to see is Optimus Repaints in Walmart, random stuff at other stores, repaints, one leader class figure that made sense, plus all the damn Bumblebee figures. If anything I know Hasbro will learn nothing from this.

Not surprised, but deeply disappointed. And finding it terribly ironic.
Really, what where they expecting when putting Jolt, Barricade, the Twins, and goodness knows how many version of BB before Soundwave, Wheeljack, and Leadfoot (and Brains, Mirage, Igor, Crowbar, Hatchet, the Driller, Devcon)?

Hard to get excited for the upcoming stuff when the last batch of things I got excited for were cancelled.

They did say that these are all in one wave (Shockwave first, then the Combaticons), so maybe not so..

..maybe.

EDIT: Found it:

The way that Hasbros been handeling tformers lately is damn sad. For a brand they seemingly love and care about, they sure are treating it like s**t. There's probably little kids wondering what happend to the 1st editions their parents ordered for them, and why they can't find Que, Soundwave, Leadfoot, Mirage, Crowbar, Hatchet, etc at their toy store. Hasbro should know by now that BB and Optimus aren't every little kids favorite character, and stop making repaints of the SAME FREAKIN TOY.
So congrats, Hasbro, YOU SUCK.

Not terribly suprising to be honest. Glad I picked up HA Leadfoot now.

Now I can focus more on Prime and FoC.

Passing the buck along to the retailers is a weak excuse Hasbro. I point the finger solely at you based on the fact that you left THREE characters who actually appeared in the film until the final wave.

The majority here colecting this line wants to round out their wrecker trio.

The majority here want a deluxe Soundwave. Its Soundwave guys. Fan favourite and forever awesome in any continuity.

And even though the character of que was a turd, I'm fairly sure that the majority here wanted him to complete their screen captured Autobots.

No retailer wanted to buy DOTM off you because of the endless repaints still warming pegs. And I dont blame them one bit.

This is what happens when you try to be too smart. Im sure Hasbro thought that keeping these figures until the end would inject some life into the line towards the end. But look whats happened now.

The line is dead and 8 months on from the films release, we the fans have to hope that they turn up in the trilogy or generations line.

Cheers. :APPLAUSE:

Hasbro needs some sort of management shake up. Its becoming clear they cannot handle the schedule they have set for themselves.

Yes, exactly.

Let's go way back in time for a moment.

Energon combiners, Wing Saber, Dinobots, Quintesson. All came towards the tail end of the line and while some did see them because they were released, others never saw them and still haven't had a chance to get them due to their prices. That was the first sign trouble was coming in TF land.

Classics, meant to be a filler line, but they gave us hope and started adding figures to the roster and then killed it in favor of TF 1's toyline.

TF1's came and they weren't prepared for the onslaught of popularity.

Animated came along, late I might add, then they killed it in both the toys and show.

ROTF came along and while they figured this one out better than some of the previous lines...they overproduced Bumblebee and the twins. Stores are STILL sitting on stock of those three. Plus a random Jolt here and there. (I mean the ROTF version, the original!)

Universe 2.0 came along during all of this and was chock full of repaints, bad ones, I might add and finding the new molds was a real pain. Distribution was AWFUL. Again, curtailed in favor of the movieverse.

Generations comes along and it was hard to stock, some places didn't get the Wheeljack/Warpath wave until close to EIGHT months later! Again, curtailed in favor of the movieverse.

DOTM comes along and it's very lackluster, hard to move and stores are still trying to find ways to get rid of the stock and instead of putting out the molds people actually wanted and needed....they not only canceled the line, they canceled the toys without giving people an option to get them.

Prime? Well, we know that whole mess.

Point is, Hasbro clearly doesn't get it. They say they heard us and they're going to put their focus on Generations with something like 40 figures, which most of them will come out in spring...2013! And they're already prepping themselves for the 30th anniversary. Great, it all sounds great, but with their track record...it worries me. And it should worry all of you, too.

As time goes on, their offerings get less and less impressive, their words aren't worth the breath wasted to utter them, the trust they gained with us has been lost and we already know they're transitioning from toy company to multimedia company. Which means that shifted focus will make things suffer.

I said that the toys would suffer and I still believe they will. I have a feeling we'll see a day when they outsource the toys to someone else, or drop them altogether. And you can't say that's impossible, because Hasbro's proven that anything can happen.

^ RE: ROTF Line

Exactly...The production of ROTF was rushed as we all know and the accompanying toyline was a good effort despite the rush. DOTM comes along...Better film production and the toyline is abysmal in comparison, not even continuing it into the following year and under another line (like they did for ROTF with HFTD)...

One wonders if it's because the trilogy has come to an end...But then again in that case, if they're eager to do TF4, why the hell stop it?! *BRAINSPLOSION*

(And I won't bother asking Hasbro about it...)

I've been compiling a scale list (largest to smallest) of the Film Transformers based on; vehicle/alternate modes (with the best dimension data possible), as many official charts I could find & most crucially, the figures I actually own & desire! If anyone would like a bit of assistance in scale or would simply like a peek at the list, do say so! ^^

(Also been working on something big; I'm a writer, so that's a clue... ;))

That's the only hope to see these figures. I can imagine Hasbro waiting that long to release these figures. I mean, look at Human Alliance Jazz...

Re: Toy Fair 2012 Update - No Que, Soundwave or Target Leadfoot Releases Planned

Postby Chopperface » Sun Feb 12, 2012 6:02 pm

You know looking at this from a economics point of veiw, Hasbro has to be spending a lot of money designing these toys. If they don't make them avalible for purchess, they have to be loosing quite a bit of money. If retailers do want to skip this line, I would think Hasbro would at least make them avalible on Hasbrotoyshop. Several car brands were used in the making of these figures. It must have cost Hasbro a pretty penny in licencing them. I would think those same car companies would like the marketing of their products. And while the movies haven't been a hit with some of the more hard core G1 fans, they are still probably the main way of marketing to most people. If you ask someone on the street what they think of when they hear thransformers, they'll probably tell you the movies. So again why Hasbro would cancel what has probably been their most profitable series, is a bit of a "mind f***" to me.

I know some dont care for the movieverse figures but some wanted to complete the movie aoutobot collection like myself so i find it wron that hasbro has cancelled for the US. Somesay thats its not hasbros fault for retailers not wanting to continue with this line BUT it is hasbros fault for making so many BB and Optimus repaints that stores are filled with and they dont know what to do with them which now makes them not want to get more figures Hasbro made the line look bad by doing that..
