You know, when I first heard that Hathaway would be playing Catwoman my first reaction was "Oh God, why!?" But having seen her in Love and Other Drugs I am fairly confident that she will do the role justice.

Double Negative! My arguement wins! Go-------o victo------ry! :D

On a side note, is anyone disappointed about it not being Two Face? I'd love to see a gritty, badly disfigured, realistic Two Face with a well rendered double personality complex.

We got 2Face in the last film, and according to Nolan....he's dead.

Well. I'll say this- it really isn't her, it's how she did the part. I don't know if that was her doing or that's how they wanted her to portray the character, but that's not how she is (or was) in the comic, to me. Sorry if it's splitting hairs or whatever. I'm just weird on such things as the Bat.

And YES, i was disappointed over it not being Face!! He is my fav of all the villains in the comic. I was hoping maybe Nolan would bring him back due to Leadger's untimely demise - wow I know a few big words....

The problem with Two-Face...well, you know how he fell off that building then stopped moving? Yeah, he was dead. Nolan had to explain this to people in-depth. "Oh, but Batman didn't die from it!" Batman is in peak physical condition and was wearing advanced body armor, and is capable of surviving falls that would break another man's legs. (Which was shown earlier in the film)

Maroni fell from about the same distance (in my opinion) at the club, and he survived. No armor or nothing......

Maroni didn't have half his body burned off and didn't have a guy in body armor land on him.

Sorry, but it was nowhere near the same height.

I had considered saying that, but then it's been a while since I watched the movie and I am horrible at judging distance.

I can judge distance enough to know there was a sizable difference.

There's this thing that I (and Kevin Smith) like to call "movie magic"- anything is possible in any movie standards. Regardless of face's burns and lack of body armor, it's still possible, in movie standards, that he can survive the fall. What makes him not survive is the fact that Nolan said he didn't. In real life, the fall that Maroni took would have shattered both his legs since he tried to land on his feet like a cat. I've seen that happen on a construction site to a guy (and he screwed himself because he felled the drug test).

I know this is really a pointless argument we are having, but it's still fun to have, in my opinion. Used to have these "debates" at the comic store all the time with a buddy of mine. I do miss that.....

I cant disagree with any of this.

We used to have these crazy discussions at the store and my wife would walk in and think we're actually mad at each other. Yeah, that's one thing I miss about the place. And like I always say, "Why can't everyone have their own theory about this stuff. It's imaginary anyways."

I have a similar story, the wife always thought we wanted to kill each other.

The Dark Knight Rises teaser has leaked. Warners Bros has been pretty aggressive this morning in taking those down. Sharp eyes could probably find them.

I would like to type something more dignified that "YYYAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY!"

But I can't seem to find the words.

Supposedly the HD trailer is going to leak soon so I'd wait for that instead of watching the subpar leaked version.

Has anybody checked out this Youtube channel?

http://www.youtube.com/user/TheJokerBlogs

It's a small webseries based on events after the Dark Knight. The premise is that some of the Joker's interview tapes are leaked on to the internet. It's incredibly well done and the guy who plays the Joker is amazingly similar to Heath Ledger and has his voice/mannerisms down to a tea.

It's that impressive that Warner Bros have taken a look and had the amateur team behind the blog to come in for some reason. There's apparently going to be a big announcement today (18th July).

Anyways, I implore all fans of Nolan's universe to check it out because it's fantastic. Be sure to watch the series in order though, there's about 19 episodes averaging about ten minutes each.

Not a very informative trailer. It's almost completely recycled footage.

There was hardly anything in the trailer. I like the part where the light shining though the building was in a shape of a bat. Looks a lot darker than the dark knight.

Being they've barely begun filming it, that's not really surprising.

I apoligise if this has come up already as i haven't read the intire thread. But without Heath Leder, i have my doubts this will even come close to the Dark Knight in terms of over all performances. Hopefully i'm proven wrong as initialy people laughed when it was anouced that he was given the role of the joker.
I actually like Anne Hathoway, so that gives me something to look forward to.
