SHOE MODE

I knew the scale was to be 1:2, but when you have it in front of you, that's when you realize how tiny it is! My wife thought it was a shoe for our nephew. Let me tell you : it really looks like a real shoe. The finish looks like synthetic leather, the sole looks almost squishy and the real laces are a nice touch.

TRANSFORMATION

Without instructions, I didn't really know where to start. Mostly a shellformer, but some cool steps to do, like how you have to swing the torso piece into position and move the arms into place. Pretty clever for what it is. Weapon halves are stored on each side of the shoe.

ROBOT MODE

It's hard to position the shoe halves on the back, but overall, the robot is pretty decent. Headsculpt is a bit cartoony, but I like it. Decently poseable despite the kibble. Doesn't look quite as good viewed from the back but that had to be expected. Pretty cool that Meg is wearing the shoes he transforms into! Certainly the most original mold we've had in a long time. For those who wonder, he's slitghtly shorter than 6Ti WW Meg / GI Joe Meg.

I'll post more pictures later tonight.

To each their own. I still can't get excited over these figures. =\

He looks much better in these pics cos he doesnt have that hoop above his head that we have seen in past images. I guess Primes design is exactly the same with a different head.

I'm assuming that its the same mold as Prime with a new head and a new lick of paint

Nice pics though...I wonder if they'll do anymore sport label Transformers in the near future

Hmm, I wasn't going to get these. However, the pic of Starscream's new weapon just changed my mind.

Are these retailing online yet, besides ebay?

Edit: Just pre-ordered from 3andup for 58 shipped. Good deal.

He needs to be light on his feet with his love of retreating.

Can you imagine what he would be like in a shoe shop? With Starscream telling him to walk up and down to see how they feel?

Now, if only Space Jam had involved Transformers instead of Loony Tunes.

Forget I said that.

I do like these.

But the back does look like marshmallow space suit butt.

I don't think shoeformers are a good idea
although Danner bootformers sound better.
Das Boot ya!

Mine came without packaging but I think some packaging pictures are circulated now on other boards (and maybe here?).

These are made of lame and fail. At least when Gun Megs transformed and fell on the ground, Soundwave could pick him up and shoot things with him. What is this guy going to, prevent a basketball player from jumping by grabbing the ground? Pinch the sides of his feet? Come on.

The only potential I see in this is putting a toy Goomba inside of it, but since the shoe isn't green and doesn't have a wind-up knob, I guess that reference is wasted.

Thanks but that wasn't what I was looking for. I mainly wanted to know if the shoeboxes were covered in wrapping, if they opened up like regular shoe boxes to reveal the figure or what.
