Triangle Town TRU was a good place to be this morning.

There was one Devastator remaining when I left, but I think someone was about to buy it (a guy in line saw it and went to "go check it out" in the aisle, but not sure if they bought it or not). May want to check Cary/Durham/etc. They also had a couple each remaining of Rodimus and Skywarp, and several each of Legends Warpath and Groove if you're in need of them.

Yeah went to TRU Pineville this afternoon and guess what? The guy told me there were 2 Devastators this morning but snagged within 5 minutes of opening! Damn! I already have this feeling I will be saving to get him online.

Forgot to post last night because it was late when I got home last night, and had to get up early this morning.

Scored big at the Wilmington Toys "R" Us yesterday afternoon... They had one Devastator up for grabs! Someone else earlier that day had already grabbed the second one before I walked in. I nabbed it the second I saw it, despite me saying I was going for Takarastator. Oh well... Guess I'll get those PE kits after all!

Nope!I've seen Cyclonus and the Leader Thundercracker at one Target. It was either the one on 51 in Matthews or the 2nd one on Rea Rd. Can't remember which. But it was last week.

Triangle Town TRU - Possibly notable that they had Wave 1 CW Legends? Haven't seen those in quite awhile.

Target across the parking lot - absolute wreck. Barely a TF section to speak of. Some $4 AOE Power Attackers towards the front part of the Cars/Preschool aisle adjacent to the aisle with TFs on it.

Walmart across the street - Not much. Some puzzling items on clearance such as RiD Legions and Tiny Titans, but nothing else aside from the already clearanced AOE stuff.

1 Devastator in Cary, but still cannot buy it. As for CW legends, One Rodimus, Three Skywarps, and One Groove there as well. In Raleigh, I found something for you Megazord fans. The Dino Charge Ptera Charge Deluxe Megazord, intended to come out this fall, is at the Brier Creek Wal-Mart months in advance. Normally I am not a Power Rangers Collector, but I liked the vibe of Pteranodon mode of the figure and bought it. I would post it to a PR site, but I am not a member of any, so I decide to pass on the news knowing that there is some overlap in the PR and Transformers communities.

Hopped around Poyner Place/Triangle Town area at lunch break time.

TRU: Nothing notable.
Five Below: Weirdness, if you're into it. Angry Birds TF Jenga Galvatron Attack Battle Game Thingie, lots of TF Hex Bugs, and some TF Hero Mashers.
Ross: Meh. $6 AoE Deluxe Snarls/Lockdowns/Drifts is kinda neat, I guess?
Target: Main TF aisle: I cleaned up the section to maybe poke whoever runs that mess to restock. Extremely empty. They may have two dozen TFs total, counting everything but Rescue Bots, and a lot of it is clearance AoE/Hero Mashers. They did have the latest Rescue Bots deluxes, mostly just a packaging refresh with older molds but there is a new Bee if you're into that stuff.

Walked into TTC TRU looking for amiibos and transformers and found an unopened box sitting on the Transformers aisle labeled "Hasbro Import." Turns out it was a box with two Devastators in it. I still cannot afford it, so there were 2 Devastators there as of 12pm. Also, no new amiibos, so a sad day indeed.

Went to Cary TRU, saw two MP Bluestreaks. Bit surprised to see this so early, but that same store had put out the new Bionicles about two weeks early, so I guess they do not care about street dates.

Timing's right for it. Their site has had it up since SDCC, so good to see stores getting it in now.

In case anyone's wondering - if you have the Takara version, don't bother.

Spied Legends Skywarp at the Wilmington Target, no sign of Rodimus. Totally would've gotten him had I not already ordered him through HTS and is now at the post office waiting to be delivered.

If anyone still hasn't found him around here, the Super Target in the shopping center off of S Tryon and Walker Branch had one Motormaster this evening. Hard to see he's stacked tight behind 2 Silverbolts. I left him since I already have one. If you can get there before the kids ransack that aisle again tomorrow.

Wake Forest Target - one left of each of the RiD Mini-con Deployers, two each left of the single packed Mini-cons. Some Rodimus/Skywarp/Groove CW Legends and one Leader Thundercracker as well.

All gone, picked up the second set of deployers and the last set of four minicons this morning after going to a Gamestop to preorder a 8-bit Retro amiibo set. Someone else must have gotten the other set of minicons.

Stopped by the Brier Creek Target after getting off from work tonight. They had two Fracture, and 2 or 3 each of the wave 1 minicons.

TTC TRU - Couple MP Bluestreaks still there, wave 1 Minicons, and 1 CotTF Bumblebee Warrior still there. Can't believe someone actually cleared out so many of those Warriors already, got the last Sideswipe and there were no OPs to be had.

TTC Target - Don't bother, same stock that's been sitting there for two months or so.

TTC Walmart - Looks like they've re-set but not re-stocked. Keeping my eyes peeled for Wave 2 Minicons since they've got the peg hooks up for 'em, just nothing on them yet.

Knightdale Target (yesterday) - 2 each of the Minicon deployers and three each of the Wave 1 Minicons

Two of each remaining of the RiD Wave 2 Minicons at TTC Walmart, except Beastbox, only one remaining.

TTC TRU just has the same stock that's been there for a few weeks, only less of it.

I was just down at my local Dollar General in Newton Grove and I noticed they had restocked with Skywarp, Cliffjumper, Ultra Magnus, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, and Grimlock in the Generations Combiner Wars packaging.

They were listed at $6 ea and they only appeared to have one of each.

Today: Got the last Night Ops Bee and Patrol Mode Strongarm Legion figures at Wake Forest Target, also got Legion Ultra Magnus but there is one left. Also picked up the last Prowl (have the other three thanks to Amazon) but left one Sunstreaker and two each of Mirage and Ironhide.

Two days ago, Cary TRU had all of the Clash of the Transformers exclusives except for the OP v Megatronus Legions set.

I can confirm that they did have it... last Monday (or was it Tuesday? I just know it was one of my days off from work). They only had two sets and I picked up one of them. Sorry that I didn't post about them. Also, I'm trying not to buy too much in the legion scale, trying to stick mainly with the Warrior class scale for 2015 RID, unless some makes sense in a different size class, like Fixit, whose size in comparison to the warriors helped sell him to me. Also, Knightdale Target had a CW Cyclonus tonight, along with 2 RID legion Patrol Strongarm, a Night Ops Bumblebee, and 2 Ultra Magnus, of which I bought one of the Magnuses. What can I say? That RID legion Optimus mold done up in white just looks good.

I'm not super picky, but being able to be choosy when you have multiples of the same toy in front of you is definitely an advantage that brick and mortar still has. I absolutely won't buy RiD 3-Steps online due to the way they're packaged, and that Megatronus is the same way. Not having any protection whatsoever subjects those things to who knows what while being cased up, then to getting tossed around aisles, scratched at by children, yeah, no fun. Definitely left behind toys I otherwise wanted to get in that assortment due to scratches and such, plus they don't seem to be in super-high demand amongst collectors which lengthens the window of opportunity to buy them anyhow.
