I don't understand how Dinobots and Insecticons = OMG I MUST HAVE IT YESTERDAY, but any other beast-Transformer = WTF HASBLOW, I QUIT FOREVER! (especially considering the fact beast-formers have been in every series in one form or another)

I get "beast-formers have lazy transformations", "organic robots are just weird", and other rational reasons, or just plain preference of vehicles over beasts, but the extreme negative reactions are just absurd.

That and the fact that beastformers have been less prevalent than vehicleformers through most of the franchise. People like what they're used to. Personally, I welcome our new beast overlords.

Me personally, if they make appearances in the show, I make an effort to buy the version that's most in-scale (i.e Deluxe Bumblebee over Weaponizer Bumblebee). So for me, I have no preference over which type of Transformer pops up, as long as their toys are 70% decent. I won't take crap like Airachnid. >:oP

I think the problem is that when beast mode transformers are done badly they are done REAALLLLLLLY badly. Head hands, shellformers, very strange faces, awkward looking kibble etc. Even though there are good Beastformers the percentage that are good or even passable seems to be lower than it is with cars or jets (makes sense, given how much practice HasTak have at vehicles)and those bad ones just stick in the memory.

Agreed, I think this is a big part of the problem, that a lot of them are just horrible toys. But I also think annother part of it has to do with believability and scale. Just as an example, I'll use Leo Breaker from Cybertron as an example. He's disguised as a lion, yet he's the size of a firetruck (Prime)? Plus the fur, how does a machine grow fur? And if it's supposed to be a metallic animal, what's the purpose of an earth animal alt mode anyway? People threw a fit with Bayformers Jetfire & Que for their "hair", so I can kind of see why people have a problem with beasts.

But personally, I like the idea, and I love the look for Predaking so far! The more types of alt modes the better I say :)

was hoping beast hunters would be its own thing and not just the next season of TFprime, nothing will make me watch the show other than getting rid of all the humans and telling Cullen to give Prime emotions again. Figure looks ok but i hope its not an animal with a vehicle alt mode, triple changer would be cool. Wonder how much this thing is going to be? Overpriced for sure but by how much?

I don't care about the act they are beasts, As I liked Beast Wars.
Just when it comes to ROBOTS IN DISGUISE, unless you have a good reason why they are disguised as ALIEN BEASTS on EARTH, then it's pretty bad writing.

in G1, the Humans knew about the TF's by the time Beast forms were used, and none of which were organic like, they were all Mecha based.

In Prime, part of the major part of the story is the "Covert" part of the Transformers on Earth. Having Giant Dragons, Lions and other alien looking disguises, doesn't do much for that.

just saying, it's not always about the toys, or liking Beasts over vehicle modes.

Are't we forgetting that the interview with Steven Melching said that the show is going to be in a new place for season 3? If it's gonna be moving off of Earth, then there's no more reason for them to stay "robots in disguise" from humanity.

Or, if it does remain on Earth, I think we can pretty much rule out any possibility of them remaining hidden from humanity any longer if the stakes are high enough that humans become aware of the Transformers.

Except the Robots in Disguise bit will be dropped for the toy line, I could see that actually happening:

Series 1: Robots in Disguise
Series 2: Beast Hunters
Series 3: ???

The boxes and cards say Series 1 for Robots in Disguise, but Series 2 for Cyberverse. Cyberverse Series 1 was DotM ;)

Ah okay. Let's do it like this then:

Series 0: First Edition
Series 1: Robots in Disguise
Series 2: Beast Hunters
Series 3: ???

But, wait, what if the BBTS Dark Energon toyline has a series number?

Since they're exclusives I don't expect them to have one. Still, that's a good thing to ponder since I'm rather finicky with logical and legible organisation :-?

Regardless of setting, the Decepticons in this show have treated their vehicle forms less as a disguise and more as a mode of transportation. They don't care much if they get seen by humans, it's lucky they haven't been spotted more, actually. So creating a subfaction with beastial alt modes is just a military tactic. It's not a disguise, it's a weapon.

What has me curious is the fact that, when they were announced at SDCC, they had their own section apart from all the other Prime figures during the presentation. And IIRC, they had their own unique color scheme to the background design of their slide pages.

This has me wondering if they'll come in their own packaging or just Prime RID packaging.

I think they'll package similarly to most subline imprint.

Then Season four will Have Wierd Wolf, a challenged teen bot who must
leave at midnight to avoid the anger of his teenage angst, and turn into a beastly yet sensitive Werewolf.

Not exactly the best quality picture. Which makes me wonder if this is the bat-like character we see in the promo for the new series.
