Wow. I bet they sell really well. I mean, they didn't even try. They just took a bunch of still functioning molds, slapped some different paint apps on them and thrust their greedy hands forward.

More Christmas closeout fodder.

I will say this, however, it is good for anyone who collected these lines in the past. They can get some new figures for their collections. But no one is going to use them as actual AOE figures. I personally have all of the Prime Cyberverse stuff, so I will pick up "Grimlock" Rippersnapper for my collection just cause. If not for that I wouldn't give them a second glance at retail.

This is actually a benefit of shoehorning old molds in movie years. They did it with ROTF and appear to be going back to it with these. At least I will pick up one AOE figure.

Repurposing is indeed your friend here. I will be on the lookout for that Rippersnapper as well just so Divebomb will have a playmate. Don't know what I'll do with Cruel-Lock, Guiledart and Terrorsaur, but I'll think of something.

It's more akin to the Scouts of Target, the Deluxes of Walmart, and Voyagers and Ultras of Toys 'R Us back in 2007/2008. Again, repurposing a'plenty.

I have the original Guildart figure and it's one that I wasn't sure about to start with but it really grew on me. This repaint is a must have. Won't say no to the Cruellock or Terrorsaur either. Here's hoping these show up on Walmart.com 'cos I don't have a walmart near me.

That is fine with me. I really would like to see some of the G1 legends molds used. I could get excited by that repurposing, no doubt. Kinda like they did with Sparkcrusher/Warpath, Shadow Striker/Wheelie, and Smokescreen/Rodimus. I bet we see the minicon dinos again too. Probably at Big Lots or something of that measure.

I wonder if these are just a wave one or something like that. Another thought too, I bet these are the last legends figures we ever see, since Cyberverse has been scrapped. :-(

Funny you should mention the Mini-Con dinos. Two are going to be re-released in a 2-pack with their AoE Counterpart: Dinobot Strafe with Rav (Swoop), and Dinobot Slug with Triceradon (Knockdown). Toys 'R Us exclusives. Grimlock, as you may already know, gets Energon Grimlock instead. No word on Bumblebee and Optimus Prime, but expect the Universe/RtS molds.

Cool, I did not know that. Thanks for the tip Goldrabbit. I wonder who else we might see in the future? I could really dig some more legends releases of this type. How about a repurpose of sorts for Legends Hound since he is in the movie? Or maybe even Legends Soundwave (DOTM/Prime) as Drift? Anyone else have any ideas?

I was referring to the 2-packs. Aside from the Dinobot ones, we were supposed to get Optimus Prime and Bumblebee 2-packs as well.

I am confused here. So, we have Grimlock on his own? How are they going to do that price point wise? It doesn't make sense. You have five sets, three legend/scout sets, one set with a deluxe figure and two legends, and just one legend on its own??

I read somewhere else that the complete list is as such:

Legion Singles
Bumblebee (RotF Legends mold)
Optimus Prime (RotF Legends mold)
Decepticon Stinger (Prime Legion Knock Out mold)
Grimlock (BH Rippersnapper mold)

2-packs
Dinobot Strafe with Bumblebee (RotF Legends mold)
Dinobot Slug with Stinger (RotF Legends Sideways mold)
Grimlock with Optimus Prime (RotF Legends mold)

Big set
Dinobot Strafe with Bumblebee (DotM Legion mold) & Decepticon Stinger (Prime Legion Knock Out mold)

Again, the Legion Bumblebee molds are giving me a headache... :HEADHURTS:

The rumor (just that, a rumor) for the Optimus Prime "Evolution" Two-pack is the Hybrid Style Convoy mold. At first I thought "no way" on that, but given today's news, now I'm ready for anything.

Yeah, but, considering the source of that rumor also used a fan custom of MP Sunstorm to represent Hasbro's release of MP Stunstorm, I doubt it.

Again, the Legion Bumblebee molds are giving me a headache... :HEADHURTS:

OK, this makes sense here. Too cool, as I will get the Stinger one too if this is the set up.

Yep, I agree. Why does BB have to be in almost every set and have a singles release? Silly....

these are the kinds of repaints we need more of, ones that use old molds we havent seen in a while. Depending on price ill be getting all of those except the one with AoE strafe, i missed out on the beast wars neo guy & i just really like the cruelock & terrorsaur molds. Really hope these arent overpriced cause theres not much else coming out that i want.

That image of Strafe has me even more intrigued about the deluxe figure. Show us more MOAR I tell you! :D

The repaints are interesting, but I'm not that into the concept to justify the purchase. I may go just for the deluxes, at this point.

Exactly what I thought. I guess they now have to change the wiki entry for MOLDS whre it says that Terrasaur is no longer available

I hope those molds are still out there... I'd love to see the likes of BW Insecticon, Drillbit, and Powerpinch repainted in purple/black/yellow...
