All I'm seeing is a gray bot with some rust color here and there. Not even close for me.

looks too clean & bright, should be more of an off white with a hell of a lot more "rust". I dont think this mold is ever going to get a good paint job by hasbro or takara

I think the final figure may have less "rust" than this is showing. I bet its hand painted and as they paint more and more it will become tiresome and they just wont put as much effort or care in.

The bot mode needs more paint, he suddenly becomes Ultra Magnus's cab bot when he transforms

I do like it though.

Well it would wouldn't it? Much more time and effort put into a custom figure than a mass produced figure.

I like it, probably darker in person, remember it set against white lighting and a white back ground. Anyway if the price is under 65 with import fee's I will pick it up, if its more I will pass, the standard Voyager is good enough for me.

Ugh,

I was super excited when I saw the weathered truck mode only to be disappointed when I saw robot mode. I'm awaiting my AD-02 Optimus paint job and will only have that and the Hasbro version. There are just too many things missed here and would have made it a definite buy

1) Where are the weather/painted hubcaps? (Unpainted Takara...really?)
2) Where in the world are 90% of the weather paint apps in robot mode Takara?
3) A new head mold with REMOVABLE faceplate so he could be displayed with either look (hint hint wink wink Takara and Hasbro)- get on with it!!

Overall I agree with others who've said the bot mode is just too damn clean to be screen accurate...easy pass =; (I hope BBTS does have it for fans that gotta have it)

Not sure how you missed the wheels being brown/weathered but they most certainly are in that picture and there is even rust streaks on the tires just like you would see if it were a regular POS rusting out truck. But yeah, the bot mode is a bit too clean, at least around the upper torso.

So far I'm seeing 3 versions of this same mold and not a single one of them can manage to pull off a look that screams "Buy me!" All are close but I'd have to buy all 3 and mix and match parts to get 1 figure that has all the elements of a figure worth buying. Sorry Hasbro and Takara but that just isn't happening. I'll go without before I fall into that stupid little money grubbing trap.

I don't think you're ever going to be positive about anything movie related :KREMZEEK:

I already haz the chrome version with faceplate that came with Voyager Grimlock and really like it. But if I can find it for the right price I'm also getting this version.
Looks great! Hopefully we'll also get a voyager version of the upgraded Optimus.
I'm trying to stick to voyagers, Grimlock being the only Leader this time.

T-Macksimus,

I'm colorblind and totally could not see that the wheels were painted and had rust streaks. I had to do a second and third look. I truly struggle with coloring and would not attempt to do any of my own customizing. Thanks for letting me know the wheels are painted!

I'm digging this, it may be missing some rust, but this will probably be the closest I will ever get to movie accuracy. Now if I can just get a blasted Black and Blue Drift and not the fifty shades of blue Drift that we got initially. :-x

RUBSIGN!!! Betcha Marky Mark wipes it with an oily rag and :BOT: appears.

Having bought the EU Voyager at the weekend and absolutely loving it all i can say is, I want a Faceplate head! It's the only slightly disappointing thing about the toy. Don't mind the rusty paintjob version.
