But in all fairness, they have had variety with movie vehicles, we've had tanks, planes, construction vehicles, home appliances, vending machines ...

They HAD a nice variety of alts, but now they don't. The first movie really gave the impression that anything could be a robot in disguise, but now it's like "look at the custom $2 million dollar car Ferrari hand-delivered to me!" Bah.

[snark] If only Bay got as exited to sell the robots as he does the cars...

Besides cars we do get our first live action Dump-truck transformer (Junkheap)

well they wont would have to work that hard to fix him. his body was intact. he just needs some work on his head and they need to figure out how actual transformations work. not sure if stinger is the only one that transforms like that but i hope he is. dont really like the new method

It appears that the Dino Riders have a fixed number of parts so I guess Starscream can't come with two guns. On the plus side there are cannons molded into the wings. I wonder if this means we'll see Dinobot repaints as Decepticons for the Decepticon Dino Riders to ride.

Yeah in fact the only major damage Scream suffered in that scene was the loss of his eyesight and only a small part of his head was blown off (the left side which in this toy has the weird eye)

one of his arms falling off along with one of his back boosters and thats it.



Shockwave also has a toy in this line according to leaked lists (this starscream was also in said list)


only damage he suffered was the loss of his eye sight then getting a chunk of his side unched out and finally getting his eye torn out.



If Bay wants too he can bring them back like he did Megatron in Rotf



and plus Ratchet is only getting a kreo toy and we know he is in the movie and as of far they don't make up characters for the movie sub lines only the main line



and even then for this movie since they are generations they are sharing with the G1 generations there for there can be no room for made up characters and also one of the guys at Hasbro said fir Gen all of the characters in that line will be in the movie.

They could bring them back, but is it in their best interest? It's already hard enough to put down a Transformer for good (Allspark fragment, Matrix of Leadership etc.) without the whole "we'll rebuilt them with nanite technology" added in to cheapen death.

It's comic book storytelling like that which makes people not believe in perma-death. It's why Megatron's death in the first had no resonance and Optimus's Death in the second had no dramatic weight; we knew they'd get better.

Jsyk, I'm not trying to attack your suggestions, just to discuss what's in the story's best interest.

In a bit of a catch-up, our fellow Seibertron.com member and YouTube reviewer chuckdawg1999 has been posting multiple reviews of ConstructBots Dino Riders figures, and we've rounded them up below for your viewing! Take a look below at Slug with Drift, Slash wth Hound and Strafe with Bumblebee, which, along with Scorn with Crosshairs and Grimlock with Optimus Prime, round off the Dinobot team so far.

Slug fits into the more tradition style of animal based Transformer. Bend it over and fiddle with the limbs for beast mode. There is some charm to it but I feel it's one of the weaker kits. Drift impresses like all the other Dino Riders and I recommend it over Slug.

I went in expecting a straight repaint of Grimlock with maybe a few new parts but Slash is an entirely new mold that I feel is one of the best Constructbot sets we've gotten thus far. Hound is my personal favorite Dino Rider and I really think the way his gun integrates into vehicle mode is fantastic.

Strafe is probably the most unique of the Dinobot builds we've gotten thus far, but weak joints make it difficult to support its weight in Dino mode. Bumblebee like the other Riders is a fun build and a great figure. I would recommend Bumblebee over Strafe or just wait for a deal on the set.

Starscream's colors really remind me of his Botshot launcher set from 2011.
My take on him reappearing, is that we've seen no characters that aren't going to be in the movie. Even though there probably won't be alot, we'll probably get a few new characters. However Starscream isn't a new character, so we shouldn't just cast him as a toy only character.
Galvatron looks great though, if backwards

I am surprised no one is talking about this yet here. But I just saw the pics from Hasbro's booth at Botcon and it seems they have a rusted version of evasion mode prime all to themselves. If I recall, we were only going to get the takara release, right?

I'm not sure about the others, but that's definitely DOTM Crankcase on the left.

What that means for the rest of the figures, I don't know.

A rereleased Dread from DOTM, which will be used to replicate Savoy's vehicle in the Optimus hunt. (there were rumors that the Dreads make an appearance in the movie, but so far we've seen nothing to substantiate that. Hasbro's only including a transformable version of the vehicle so the boxset will sell.)

The other is the Sonic RS that Shane has in the film. It's Hot Shot, apparently. BotCon seems to have spoiled a hidden plot point for the upcoming film, or he transforms as a toy only and remains just a vehicle in the film. We'll find out in about a week.

Gunface confirmed! By way of TAG Hobby we have new images from the latest issue of Figure King that reveal that the Transformers: Age of Extinction Deluxe Lockdown mold will indeed have the "gunface" mode seen on film. The images also reveal a new articulated Age of Extinction Optimus Prime figure, possible a model kit. Also pictured are the Transformers Cloud TFC-A03 Rodimus and TFC-D03 Shockwave, Transformers: Lost Age Battle Command Optimus Prime, Evangelian/Transformers EVA Optimus Prime.
