This should be a reference to alt modes as the robot modes for earlier MP's (excluding MP-1 and MP-5)such as grimlock and the seekers are of a good relative size(although depending on which comic/cartoon episode you're reading, you can argue that grim should be a good chunk bigger than OP). Mind you this should refer only to the autobot vehicle alt modes as all those vehicles are more or less on the same scale. As a T-rex grimlock should ostensibly be a good chunk bigger, and the seekers/soundwave and friends obviously are madly out of scale for their alt modes, although I find their robot forms scale pretty well. But giving allowances for rodimus being a alien space car, he is the first vehicle of the scale that the autobot MP's seem to have followed since.

It is funny to read their Google translated version. It does sound strange because of it. The translation is saying in scale starting with Rodimus. The second statement is saying that Prowl can fit inside MP10. There are two run on sentences missing punctuation in between. :D

He isn't an "alien space car", he's an Earth Winnebago from the far off future of 2005. If he was a space car he wouldn't have wheels, everyone knows that. :P

Hot Rod liked to fish for a day, but Rodimus liks to spend the whole weekend.

Many of the WFC/FOC TFs have wheels. ;)

Takara Tomy designer Shogo Hasui has tweeted out a couple of images comparing the soon to be released Transformers Masterpiece MP-17 Prowl to his original G1 figure. Check out the images mirrored below. The wait is almost over, MP-17 Prowl should release at the end of this month!

The Prowl mold seems much better than the Sideswipe mold. Both are really awesome, but the Prowl mode seems much more refined and perfected. I'm really looking forward to Prowl, Bluestreak and Smokescreen. I can't wait to have Prowl in hand in a couple of weeks. The Masterpiece galleries from the past year or so will follow soon thereafter!

That makes sence so far in point in time judging by how fast some sites preorders sold out for mp17-18-19. But a lot of times the newer toy wins out in favoritism untill both compared figures become old. Lets see how things turn out, very interesting to see if I made the rite choice of liking the mp 12 mold over the mp17 mold.

Am I a fool for wanting to wait for these to hit stateside? Is there hope for these figures to NOT GO To toys r us? Is it wrong to lay awake at night, dreaming of these Glorious Creations? The only two MPs that I got from Takara were Megatron and Ultra Magnus.. Still hoping for magnus' trailer...

You're a fool. Hey, you asked! Don't wait till it's too late and either live with regret or pay out the a$$ later. Justify it by telling yourself these are an investment and only increase in value. Besides, every one of these is a fanboy dream come true.

Yes. It probably won't happen (due to the licenses Hasbro would have to acquire).

Craver2707 wrote:Is there hope for these figures to NOT GO To toys r us?
See above. These probably won't see a US release.

No. You should worship these MPs every waking moment.

There's a point where tweets hype a product and there's a point where it just gets cruel. At this point everyone who is going to want one has seen it and everyone who has seen it either has it preordered or is in the throes of getting it preordered. Seriously, wake me up in 5 days.....

The wait is almost over! MP-17 Prowl the latest figure in Takara Tomy's Transformers Masterpiece will be release any day now, and it appears Japanese Toy Blogger Alfes 2010 has already gotten his hands on the highly anticipated figure. Check out the small in-hand gallery mirrored below from the Planet Iacon facebook page.

The wait isn't even remotely close to being over. For most of us who are importing, the delay with Bluestreak means we'll be waiting another month on top of Prowl's release for him to be shipped. It's getting beyond exciting to the point of being annoying and frustrating. Why can't TakaraTomy announce a realistic schedule to begin with instead of pushing back every second Masterpiece release?

Calm down. Unless you believe Takara to be omniscient, you should cut them some slack for producing something we want so badly.

He is still looking alrit but that side view of him makes him look kind of overly wide from the front to back and his hands are little to big. Other than that, I'm looking forward to see the video review.

Except it's not just the delay and the demand and desire for MP Prowl has been anything but unrelated to Takara's marketting cmapign with it. Prowl was already a case of "shut up and take my money" from the outset to alot of us. On top of that you have Shogo Hasui running a major twitter hype building campaign on a figure which already has high expectations. That builds anticipation. Then they not only delay the figure, but keep on building hype for it.

When you carry out a marketing campaign that way while delaying a figure, eventually something will give and it'll wind up pissing people off.

Tbh I was fine with it all until Hasui kept building the hype after the figure had been delayed. At that point it crossed over from enticing customers to slightly alienating them and from memory it either didn't happen when Soundwave was delayed, or was nowhere near as bad.

At this point though it's no longer a gift horse in the mouth. The marketing machine stopped being that when Hasui kept hyping the figure up this month when it had become delayed and most of us were anticipating it. The last couple of teasers have been more like what happens when someone carries a joke too far and people start getting ticked off by it.
