Takara Tomy have updated their online product catalog with official images of Transformers Generations TG-32 Micron Assault Team and TG-33 Micron Legend Starscream. Like most figures in Takara Tomy Transformers Generations line these feature altered decos and metallic paint applications. Starscream looks more like his armada self! but not comic accurate so I rather have Hasbro's

Oh my, that's a lot of white.
Hmm, some very minor paint apps on the minicons, though not much to make them stand apart from their Hasbro counterparts.

All of them have richer colors than their Hasbro counterparts. The Mini-Cons also have additional silver pain apps, while Starscream has more white on his cannons, shoulders, wings, legs, knee-wings, and a black canopy.

Like most people would say, I think the white looks better than hasbros. But I just dont have the connection to these to buy takara versions. Im happy with the hasbro ones I just got. Im curious to see what takara does for scoop since the hasbro one is already toy accurate and scoop wasnt in the cartoon.

I could see them giving Scoop a yellow helmet and a yellow shovel like the G1 toy had.

Though, it is a good question as to whether Takara will use Scoop since they've been skipping some of the things that Hasbro's been releasing lately.

I really like that Takara Starscream. There's nothing wrong with the Hasbro version, but the colors and lines just seem more crisp on Takara's.

I'm not going to drop $30+ on it, but if it goes on sale, sure, I'll pick it up.

Being meticulous over details that I am, this Armada Starscream is welcome news, and a welcome addition alongside Henkei Hot Rod (no, the yellow one). Funny thing, are both supposed to be in a G1 Universe?

Starscream's bio should shed some light on that.

Though, his Hasbro bio pegs him as the Armada guy, despite the comic's repurposing.

I thought takara uses all the generations molds so far ? I know they dont do repaint retools like skullgrin or dark shadow, but They get the base character the mold was designed for. I thought it was the Tf prime lines thattakara didnt release ?

It seems this time they're now skipping molds period. Skids, Scoop, and I just noticed we've yet to see their take on the Legends Cosmos and Swerve.

And FYI, Prime was released in Japan: RiD as Arms Micron and Beast Hunters as Transformers GO! (where they skipped Sharkticon Megatron and crocodile Knock Out).

Thus far they've skipped Generations Skids and Whirl, at least, so it's anyone's guess as to which molds they'll release.

But I hope they don't skip Scoop.

He looks like the Micron Legend Version colorwise. I still have Micron legend Starscream he has slightly sharper looking wings and embossed decpeticon symbols with the straight nosecone on alt mode.

Might get Takara's version of the Microns/Ammonites.

Can never have too many Ammonites.

ive been reading replies... and the words "rich" and "crisp" have come up. and that very much defines this starscream. its an absolute buy for me. minicons i wasnt interested in in the first place. dont know why but mincons have always been a "meh" for me.

Screamer's beautiful!

Screamer's BRIGHT! Not my cup of tea for the Armada incarnation. Reminds me of the contrast between the two Classics Starscreams, in grey and then his repaint into himself in the much brighter white

I like the metallic look on the minicons, but was kinda hoping for something different. Oh well.

I was finally able to get my hands on a MISB Micron Legends Starscream after all of these years in order to do comparison shots with this new Armada Starscream and the other versions of these toys. Can't wait!

It's also interesting to see Starscream called "Armada Starscream" for Takara Tomy. I'm surprised that he's not called "Micron Legends Starscream". They're really into adopting all of the US names now!

These do look cool, but it makes me sad that it's now looking more and more like there will be no Takara version of Skids now. =(
