Frenzy and Rumble's Microns are Octopuses, and are called Dago, from タコ (tako) which means octopus in Japanese. Wildrider's is an elephant, called Ozu, an anagram of zou, or in Japanese 象 or ぞう, which means elephant. Ok, I'm done :-B

Hey, is that a new head on Wildrider?

LOL, but alas, it is called Dago. Though, It is likely derived from "Tako", but having the syllable accents altered. ;)

Incidentally, it also makes his name look like it's also derived from "Dagon", who's sometimes portrayed as a sea god/monster. :-B

Not sometimes, IS. Dagon is the Assyro-Babylonian/Semitic god of grain(as a symbol of fertility), fish, and fishing(as a symbol of multiplying). All depictions I've seen of the historical Dagon depict him as having the torso of a man and the lower body of some aquatic life form(fish, shark, or whale, it's hard to tell).

Lovecraft's is the same being, just "promoted" above being a human deity. It's why the Deep Ones(children of Father Dagon and Mother Hydra) are always so obsessed/involved with getting busy in his stories.

It is kind of weird for me to say this, but Wildrider now has me think of Frankenstein's Monster. I mean that those things on his head look like Cybertronian bolts. :P

Then again, Rumble does look like a Dai Gurren... With Frenzy looking like a blue Gurren.

Damn, these AM are like fricking clouds on a sunny day; you just end up seeing whatever the heck animal you want to see.

Could be a hybrid for all we know. Wartlephant? Or elehog?

And yeah, FnR's AM's do look like those ugly-ass robots from 50's scifi movie, don't they?

Personally, the first thing they reminded me of was those gold Aztec trinkets, carved in the image of their gods.

Dude, what other language do you speak? From what I've seen in your posts, you seem to speak more languages that all the taxi drivers in New York! :P

English (obviously), Spanish, Chinese, Japanese, German...anything I missed?

It's a weird thing about those heads..... Wildrider's looks appropriately Decepticon-ish, but Japanese Rumble and Frenzy's look more human-like, which has always seemed to me to be more characteristic of Autobots. IN any case....they don't really look evil to me..

This gal doesn't kiss and tell ;;)

I do speak Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish, in that order. I can also read Latin and Greek, though they're rusty (my teacher will be so sad). For Japanese, I can only properly read the hiragana and katakana, which the names are made of. Kanji and Chinese characters I need to look up, but I have two wonderful sites for that :)

I really like what Takara's done with Wildrider, if only because he's more like his G1 namesake than Hasbro's Deadend. It's still a pass mind you.

While I do really like the new head for the twins, the head on Hasbro's Rumble is just far too badass to pass up. Alternate heads work for me though as I'm not thinking of these two as Frenzy and Rumble anyway. That said, I wouldn't mind those gold stickers on his chest.

I don't think there will be any. These will be the final new mold releases in Arms Micron, before TakaraTomy's shift into Beast Hunters. We still have Jet Vehicon General and Final Battle Megatron (the one with the Dark Matter Calibur), but that's it.
