The infamous Transformers Columbia Facebook page has posted official images of Hasbro's upcoming Titan figures from both Transformers: Age of Extinction and Transformers: Rescue Bots. These are larger non-transforming, limited articulation action figures. From Age of Extinction we have Optimus Prime and Grimlock. The Rescue Bots lineup features the four main cast members Heatwave, Blades, Boulder, and Chase. Check out the official images mirrored below:

Yeah, not looking forward to seeing these at all. Barely any paint on the Age of Extinction figures. Hasbro, are you even trying? :BANG_HEAD:

At least the Rescue Bots got the better end of the stick.

Y'know, the more I look at that Optimus Prime, the more I'm beginning to think that it may be representative of that "Silver Knight" thing going around. Check out the box art: not a whiff of color, excluding the head. I'm certain that he's supposed to have more color on his torso than just grey/silver.

Bravo Hasbro. I mean, these did so well in the Prime line I guess they decided to make more! So good that I even saw Target selling them for 75% just last week. A whole shelf of them. And at $10 for a blown plastic statue, that is a bargin, right?

Yes, people. THESE type of figures are replacing the Generations figures.

I knew Hasbro's price points would eventually price themselves out of the market. But, I never dreamed these type of figures would be their replacements.

Pathetic.

Wow. These all look like something you'd find in a 3rd world country street vendor stand. Doesn't look like MY optimus or Grimlock. Looks like a suit of armor and some quasi-pan-asian warrior. Lack of paint apps is saddening. I have avoided painting my own figures, but there may come a day this year where I get some touch-up pens.

Well, maybe they will be a money maker as low budget kid toys for little kids? Just hoping the whole line doesn't follow this trend. (And I don't think it is, seeing the amazing Jetfire and other upcoming bots. Keep the classics coming, and I'll bit my tongue in regards to the dreadful Bay-former movie toys. Promise. Won't say a word!)

It's depressing to see these... things... coming from one of the leading toy companies in the world. I would genuinely feel pity for any child who received one of those shampoo bottles as a gift. Even the dollar store has toys with better articulation and paint apps.

Yes, I know. And your shampoo bottle comparison is dead on. They might as well filled it with that. And you are correct, the dollar store has better articulated figures. They are currently carrying the third ( and some fourth) reissue of the legends molds for Optimus, Bumblebee, and Starscream. Much better figures than these abominations.

Be careful about saying negative things about TF's on here though. You will be accused of being a troll.

You're joking right? You sound serious, but I can't picture anyone saying that with a straight face. If Hasbro wanted to kill off Generations they would have done it with the movie considering all of the other stuff they've made for it.

Anyway, this looks like the international packaging for Grimlock and Prime, neither of the character descriptions after their names are in English. The ages 4+ thing is kinda funny on these considering they look as safe as any baby toy.

Do I appear to be kidding? Do you think they are not going to take up valuable shelf space that could have been occupied by figures that would actually sell? Of course they are not a direct replacement. Indirectly though, yes, because the space that these abominations will occupy could have been used for something much cooler. Like a plastic brick.....

YES! Shampoo bottles. Exactly. I knew they reminded me of something. :APPLAUSE:

But again, I know these are an odd case. (Like the pop-up figures, etc.) You can't judge them against the actual main toy line — but they are so extreme they make you do a double take.

Could be coin banks too. Remember those cheap ass ones with the paper thin plastic? Put a slit in the thing at the head and there you go.

At least those had some sort of paint apps. I guess the AOE ones got the weapon and the Rescue Bots got the paint.

so they expect kids to want a bland piece of gray plastic? whoever thought of that is a colossal moron. Id expect that from a cheap 3rd party company that makes those premade easter baskets or something thats bundled with bublebath or something not one of the biggest toy companies in the world for mass retail. Do we really need anymore proof that hasbro has no clue anymore & this franchise is doomed? The franchise has already lost a bunch of diehard collectors, and from the looks of it the kids are next cause no one is going to want those things. All we can hope is the stores are smart enough to keep those away from the main line figures cause if they dont you can just say goodbye to generations, no way are the stores going to order them when they have a ton of shelf warmers. Just look at recent waves & tell me its not true

Just like with the previous movies, stores are going to allocate a lot of shelf space to Transformers this year, I'm not too worried about them taking up space. This is hardly the first movie where Hasbro pumped out a bunch of simple, little kid friendly figures along side the regular line. The Rescue Bot stuff wont even be in the same aisle.

This also isn't the only line that they make these for, they make similar figures for Marvel, too. They must be selling well if they keep making more and more for both lines.

My children didn't want them. They thought they were "lame".

I agree. Hasbro has been pricing themselves out of the market in the last few years. The price point just jumped again from last year, up $2 for a deluxe, $3 for a voyager. At the rate they are going, by 2018, deluxes will be 19.99 and voyagers $31.99
This is one of the reasons why I jumped ship on everything save the Kreons and maybe the legends line, if it is not dead in the water. There is no way I can continue to justify the cost vs the quality of product we are getting. It is a joke.

And give us Dani Burns! My daughter needs a woman in the TF universe that she can look up to. Plus, my niece is named Dani.

Yeah, lets look at the other stuff.

Bots Shots - Cool

Robot Heroes - Cool

Giant blown plastic figures/shampoo bottles/coin banks/ - LAME

And even the aforementioned lines took up a small space. These things are taking up at least six inches of space that Roadbuster or Skybite could've occupied. Let alone another peg of Generations. Or maybe some AOE exclusive legends figures from previous molds. ANYTHING but these.....

And as for your "they must be selling" comment, when it costs about .10 to make something and you are selling it for $10, you can scrap or closeout quite a few just to break even. Make sense? It is not all about sales. More about profit margin.

If the Transformers: Prime Titan Bumblebee and Optimus Prime wasn't involved with a video game, same for here. I don't know why these were made and you can't call Hasbro amateur. They've been around since 1923. It could be a toy aimed for little kids (4 year olds).
