As awesome as these look, I find Dreadwing being a Skyquake redeco pretty lazy. They introduce a character, kill him off, but still want to use his animation model, and so come up with this new guy whose body is shaped exactly like the first guy. :roll:

Here's a thought, Hasbro. If ya'll wanted to use this model, why'd you think it was a good idea to kill off the first guy so soon? Why not, you know, *not* kill him and then *use* him so the model doesn't get shoved onto someone else? >:oP

This is like if Beast Wars ever decided to kill off Cheetor or Tarantulas and replace them with Tigatron/Blackarachnia just to keep using the CG model. :roll:

This usually is referred to as a "pre-paint." I've seen it in Hasbro's Star Wars line several times, but I'm not sure I can recall a Transformers example.


Animated Crystal Rodimus counts, since he came out before the normal Animated Rodimus, Titanium Thundercracker sorta counts cause he's the one time a new seeker mold wasn't used for Starscream first.

I have to agree with Sabrblade on this. Why did they bother with Skyquake if they're already re-using his animation model for Dreadwing?

I mean, Wheeljack is basically a one-episode-wonder and he gets into the first Deluxe wave! (I know he's coming back, but still).

GIVE US SKYQUAKE.

Love that Ironhide. I love Cyberverse & Legion stuff, so I'm all in.

On one hand I don't like that he's a repaint of Skyquake, but on the other hand I don't care if seekers are repaints!
