This toy is like a 5.6. I love the jet mode, but not so much the robot mode. One, Jetfire has skinny legs. And two, it doesn't look exactly like the Jetfire/Skyfire I've known 30 years ago. Well - miracles don't happen often.

...I am 75% sure you are trolling. We get a Masterpiece-scaled Skyfire/Jetfire, and you're complaining. Plus, the new toy is essentially the old G1 character model, just with more greebles and with different vehicle kibble.

Technically, a Masterpiece-scaled Jetfire/Skyfire would be much bigger than this, since G1 Cartoon Skyfire was huge.

so is this an actual leader class or is it a "leader class"? But being a leader class puts me off, to expensive & to big for my shelves. Would've been better as a deluxe, gives it more repaint options & would come with a comic.

I assumed it was essentially a Masterpiece figure in all but name. I keep forgetting that he was utterly gigantic in the show.

Yeah: the upcoming Age of Extinction Optimus Prime and Grimlock. They're about as big as Ultras, as far as I know.

Being slightly shorter than the tall ROTF Leader OP =/= being an Ultra's height.

Sorry if this bugs you, but I don't like the way the MP-scaled Jetfire looks. It doesn't have the visor which is something that I loved about the G1 Jetfire toy. The DaCa Toys Kronos doesn't have the extra armor and I haven't seen a picture of a weapon or his walking jet mode. It's also something that HasTak has not or will never think of.

Sorry if this bugs you, but I don't like the way the MP-scaled Jetfire looks. It doesn't have the visor which is something that I loved about the G1 Jetfire toy. The DaCa Toys Kronos doesn't have the extra armor and I haven't seen a picture of a weapon or his walking jet mode. It's also something that HasTak has not or will never think of.

1. It's not MP scaled. It's Generations scaled.
2. It does so have a visor.
3. The robot mode is based on the cartoon animation model, which deviated from the toy's Macross design to make it different enough so that it wouldn't interfere with Harmony Gold's Robotech series.

seriously? youd rather have a deluxe sized jetfire? if they did that, the other 99% of the fandom that want a big jetfire would probably burn hasbro HQ to the ground.

Perhaps not, but he DOES look exactly like an up-gunned version of the Jetfire that's piloting the Ark-7 in RiD #28. No surprise really, considering how Thrilling 30 is pretty much IDW: the Toyline.

Perhaps not, but he DOES look exactly like an up-gunned version of the Jetfire that's piloting the Ark-7 in RiD #28. No surprise really, considering how Thrilling 30 is pretty much IDW: the Toyline.

It seems to be Hasbro's new incentive for Leader class toys (or for special toys like the Platinum Edition AOE Optimus/Grimlock two-pack).

is it the potential back-heavy placement of the topside jet parts? or the relatively plain and slim (kinda) arms and thighs as compared to the upper body bulk? because jet mode aside, and i think this is a glorious piece of toy engineering, these are some things that kinda (a leeetle bit... okay, bordering on nitpicking) bother me somewhat.

somehow despite the awesomeness of this figure i share your sentiments on something a bit... off.

Dammit Va'al, I had myself pretty much talked out of getting this figure until you pulled THAT ace out of your sleeve. I'm still not a fan of the weapons but now all my arguments about the body style have gone out the window. Your are seriously on my wallets **** list now!
