It's over, but for some reason the mods have decided that this thread should be only thread for discussion of the Generations line.

Perhaps we could ask Primeultimus to retitle the thread, dropping the 'Thrilling 30' part?

That would be the logical thing to do. >:oP Or stop forcing us to combine all discussion of a product line into one thread. It's a mess, with like 20 conversations all overlapping each other.

It seems that it is all really in IDW's hands. Whatever story they are working on will dictate where this line goes.
I have just started in on IDW books with RID and mtme. Really digging it BTW. I'm not to familiar yet with the "Prowlastator" situation, but from Hasbro's point of view I can't see them going this direction right away. It seems too specific to a probably small percentage of their market.
But, we are talking about a comic book i.e. "soap opera", so they could easily find a way to bring back the missing Constructicon(who?). If the Con-cons have sided with Prowl, maybe the return of said team mate would sway them back to the :CON: .

A Monstructor toy would probably rule out the need for Abominus. :-(
IMO, I would love to see re-imagined versions of Abominus and Piranacon.

We need a mole at IDW.

Did someone get scolded?

I should probably stop talking about combiner wars then too.

Though he started the thread, he didn't give it its current name.

Does it matter who started the thread or who named it? Either retitle it, or let people start new threads about Generations figures and sub-lines that AREN'T part of the Thrilling 30. If a new product is revealed or new pictures posted, don't post it in the Thrilling 30 thread if they're not part of the Thrilling 30. This is common sense, I don't know why we even have to debate it. I feel like I'm trying to explain why cereal doesn't belong in the produce aisle of the grocery store.

I meant that as though to say Primeultimus need not be the one to change the title when one of the mods can do it.

Or, once the year rolls by and we cease getting Thrilling 30 news, someone can make a new Generations Combiner Wars discussion thread.

This thread stopped being about Thrilling 30 quite some time ago. And why was discussion of Combiner Wars ever folded into this thread in the first place, given that, by definition, it's off-topic?

Again... common sense. I feel like that exasperated woman in the e-surance commercial: "That's not how this works. That's not how ANY of this works!"

Agree with some here Price needs to be a factor. Because these HasTak Combiners Wars toys will cost $80 in USA store for the complete gestalt. $80 is a fraction of what Most 3rd party Combiners cost which is around $450 to complete the gestalt.

For $80 HasTak's CW combiners can successfully compete and beat most $450+ 3rd party combiners. I'm sure if HasTak's CW or MP combiners cost $450+ in USA stores, We'd get something a billion times better that most 3rd party TF combiners toys.

Rather get the most out of my money and get 6 HasTak CW Gestalt for the price of one 3rd party combiner.

Don't care for TFC's boxy looking under sculpted combiners team members. Like the HasTak CW Stunticons limbs-bots better because they are bigger and are higher sculpted.

If I'm going to spend that exspensive money on 3rd party TF toys. Then the TF character needs to have a flesh out personality in the fiction. Lets face it, None of the G-1 combiners in the 1980's TF cartoon. Got any real personality, Most of them barely spoke a word or sentence in each episode. Most were given quickie generic persona's.

I only feel comfortable spending $15 to $22 on most Combiners team members. Because none of them got any fleshed out personas in the 1980's fiction. Don't have enough love to spend $450 on a 3rd party gestalt due to them almost being drones with barely any persona in the 1980's cartoon.

Disagree my ROTF Superion did not need any 3rd party add ons kits to look better or fix problems.

Thought the 3rd party add on feet and hands for ROTF Superion were not needed. As HasTak already created Pop on and pop off Hands and feet for ROTF Superion that were fully articulated.

tsu, I'm kind of confused on your posts. You commit or not commit to 1st party products? Because in another thread, you are okay to buy KOs of the MP series over the originals because of pricing concerns. So the combiners= $80 for possible 6 fig set is ok but MP engineering of a single $ 80 fig is not okay?

That FP add on made it look G1nesque. That mold, which I own has some design issues in Afterburner's cockpit not locking into his hip/groin area. Not even FP could fix that issue with their add ons unfortunately.

It also kind of neutered the combining formation I'd grant you that but the visor add on made him look more animation/box accurate.

I'm tempted to have a "smash n change" Optimus Prime. Maybe the Silver Knight Target exclusive version.

At 20$, it's more than I'm willing to spend. Should I wait for a sale?

Interesting color scheme, but can't talk myself into buying it.

That prime looks like one of those Matchbox cars... (someone beat me to the punch and posted above). Looks really low-budget.

Makes me think of a gingerbread cookie man... really wants to be 3D, but he's like 99% flat.

It also bothers me how bland and generic these "knight" figures are.... even losing Prime's trademark cab-window chest and faceplate (for most figures). A few years back, I wouldn't have evenrecognized them as Transformers OR as the characters they're supposed to be. I would have thought it was some kinda cheap TF ripoff.

That said, I'm glad some of you guys like them and buy them. Keeps the franchise going so I can get me some Generations figures.

I'd rather see them give us some of the non-G1 combiner teams. Admittedly, that's mostly RiD (the old one), but still.

WOAH! I wonder how TFs will look more than two millenia from now. That's a lot of TFs! I bet by the year 4032, the toys will not be toys anymore, but they will have replaced the human race as the dominant species.
Yeah, I conveniently ignore the "the".

They are currently pricing the Headmaster toy at $19.99, with the earliest release/delivery date on 9th December - will you be buying it from them? Will you be buying it at all? Let us know your thoughts in the Energon Pub!

A genius scientist and diabolical inventor, Brainstorm develops advanced weaponry for the Autobots. Although many of his inventions are deemed too devastating for use in actual combat, it's possible his laboratory itself is his most dangerous creation. Brainstorm frequently ignores proper safety protocols, and an unwary visitor to his lab runs a high risk of triggering some half-finished doomsday weapon. In spite of this, he is allowed to continue his work, proof of just how valuable Brainstorm is to the Autobot cause.

Gear up for hardcore Transformers action with this awesome 2-in-1 Brainstorm figure! This crazy Autobot can launch a fierce double-fisted blaster attack at his Autobot enemies in robot mode. But if the mission calls for fast-flying recon, he can convert to jet mode. Keep converting him back and forth so his enemies can't keep up!

Figure comes with accessories.

Incredible 2-in-1 Brainstorm figure
Converts from robot mode to jet mode
Twin blasters
Head converts to pilot
