Eh, it has less to do with disagreements with management, and more to do with when the movie came out, this place was over-run with 14 year olds.

Not really, unless you consider the truth provoking. I'm over it, I just answered a simple question with a detailed answer. Pardon my thoroughness, perhaps next time someone asks what happened to so and so, I'll just say, "They left".

If I weren't over it, I would have posted something much more flamboyant with a lot more of the unpleasant details. Just like any other bad event in history, it's important to know it happened. More importantly though, it's what you learn from those events that makes a person better.

I've learned not to go down that path. So when I type to say, "Hi", that really means "Hi", not secret sarcasm code-speak to go F*** off. Some of those guys are decent blokes but I can still happily say that I don't miss the ones that aren't. If saying that is provoking, then I guess I don't know what else to say.

Back on topic though, there's quite a few I miss from the old days that just kind of disappeared. Two that come to mind are Bluestreak and Blackbird. Last I heard from Blackbird, he was battling some Work Comp deal.

Any discussion I want eh? Do you agree with me that Larfleeze needs his own book? And if not what about The Rogues? They're easily the best part of the Flash's books now. I'm still waiting for a Rogues vs. Secret Six mini or storyline since the Six roughed up Weather Wizard.

I didn't mean to infer that I was surprised by the turn of advents, just hoped it wouldn't happen. Its not so much the fact that they were 14, just the fact that most of the posters who left at that time were almost twice that age. Life moved on for us. The things we wanted to talk about just weren't being discussed by 'the kids'.

Speaking for myself, at that time I was planning my wedding and future with my (now) wife. The boards here used to have a slight leaning to the older fan/collector. With the advent of the movie, that changed.

So you went to a private pillowfort clubhouse instead of asking for a sub-forum you probably could have gotten them to make? I mean it's not that hard. You just ask for them to make a sub-forum for adults to talk. It doesn't necessarily have to be NSFW ****, because I know how you feel when it comes to kids. Some of them are... well to be fair we were all like that at that age. But I'm glad I didn't have internet access or a webcam. Because most of them are pretty Jessi Slaughter.

As much as I don't like to use the words "share" and "Larfleeze" in the same sentence we'll compromise and say that Atrocitus can share a comic with Larfleeze. Atrocitus could work at some kind of restaurant. Perhaps a hamburger joint that specializes in murder... It'll be a buddy comedy like the Odd Couple.

I was just wondering who is still here from the bad old days of rampant spam, Roddy's binges and Spengs and Co.'s mis-adventures, etc.

I was here in the spring of 2001, but due all the crashes of the old board (remember those?) we kept having to re-register, so now it says I've been around since 2002. I left for a few years in 2004 because of the STFU assholes, and returned in 2006 sporadically and finally a couple of years ago regularly after they were shit-canned 5 years too late. I do like it the way it is now, but I do miss some of the more carefree ways of old.
