Omega and Rung: The Foreboding Message

The Solar System, somewhere within the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune:

A space distortion, followed by a rift opening across space and time allowed the beaten and broken form of the mighty Omega Supreme to jet through just barely fast enough before disappearing behind the ancient Autobot warrior. However, unlike after his previous transwarp jump, Omega Supreme was silent, having fallen into stasis to conserve his critically diminished energy reserves. It was now up to Rung and Streamlight to figure out a way to contact the other Autobots deeper within the system. Well. That was, if they'd survive long enough inside an asteroid belt.

The Solar System - Somewhere within the Kuiper Belt beyond Neptune

The rift that had opened to let the massive form of Omega Supreme pass through closed in a flash as soon as the sentinel was safely within the solar system. And thanks to Omega’s forewarning Rung and Streamlight were able to find a place where they could ride out the jump.

Streamlight took a look over his shoulder at the small orange Autobot. “Where are we…you know, exactly?” Rung glanced at the keyboard in front of him and started typing. The information he pulled up was limited at best.

“It looks like Omega was able to get us to the Sol System. But we’re nowhere near Sol 3…” Streamlight turned around fully as he cut in. “Nowhere near? How far off are we?” The young guard slowly rose from his seat and made his way to stand beside Rung’s chair.

The psychoanalyst set to work on scanning their current location. That done he cross referenced the data with the research he and Streamlight had done before they made the jump. It looked as though they were close to a deep blue planet. A little digging and Rung was able to pull up a name.

“Neptune.” Rung looked up at the flier. “It’s the closest planet to our current location.” Streamlight smiled. “That’s good then.” His smile faded, however, when the ship was rocked violently. Streamlight fell to the floor while Rung attempted to grab him.

“What the hell was that?” Streamlight groaned. He rolled onto his aft and looked up at the worried psychiatrist. Rung broke off optic contact and looked back at the terminal. “Um, well it would seem that we’re in an asteroid belt, the Kuiper belt, to be exact.”

Streamlight nodded as he stood back up. “Heh. Okay. That’s…” His jaw dropped slightly as he looked back at Rung. “Wait! Did you say asteroid belt? Oh Primus. Could this day get any worse?” He ran his hand down his face. “I, um…I think getting out of here as soon as possible should be our first priority.” Rung was silent as he stared at Streamlight who stared back.

Rung jumped from his chair and gestured to the guard and to another terminal. “We have to get out of here! So get us out of here!” Streamlight spread his arms and shrugged. “What am I supposed to do?!”

It was Rung’s turn to run a hand down his face. “You’re an accomplished pilot. Fly. I’ll try to send a distress signal and message. With any luck the Autobots in this sector will pick them up.”

The young guard put his arms down and nodded. “Right. Fly. I can do that.” He accessed the flight controls and set to work. “I can’t set a course. I think I’ll need to do this on my own.” He stared at the view screen in front of him. “What I wouldn’t give to have Rotorstorm here right now.” He mumbled.

While Streamlight mumbled and worked Rung sent his message out. Any luck and they’d be contacted sooner rather than later.

>>”Can anyone hear me? This is Autobot psy -ops specialist Rung. We are in need of assistance. Omega Supreme’s energon reserves are nearly depleted. He has entered stasis. We are attempting to navigate through the area just beyond Sol 8 in the Kuiper belt. Please, respond.”<<

“Well?” Streamlight called over his shoulder while maneuvering as carefully as he could. They were still being pelted by debris, but at least now they were attempting to avoid the larger masses.

“I’ve sent out the message. It’s set to repeat every 30 seconds. Hopefully one of our own will pick it up. I’m fairly certain if the Decepticons intercept it the encryption I used will make it difficult for them to listen to it. I hope.”

The ship jerked to the right causing Rung to grip the counter tightly. “Yeah, I hope too.” Streamlight said while he pressed his back firmly into the seat.

Ripping its way into the Milky Way galaxy, the Decepticon destroyer and its occupants came to a measured halt.

"The trail.....I see....I see nothing. It has gone cold, Tracker," Macabre said, looking back at the chief huntsman, Scourge, who stood menacingly just in front of the command chair, as he had done the entire time since they had left Elban airspace. The momentary glare he received in return for his report could have frozen magma.

"For you, perhaps," Scourge said icily, approaching one of the consoles. Slowly and decisively he began entering figures into the ship's scanning systems, adjusting them to look for some of the same types of particles that his own finely-tuned instrumentation was designed to pick up.

"You will find that I am not evaded so easily."

The Decepticon destroyer sliced its way smoothly through the spaceways. it was clearly apparent that it had some kind of specific heading now.

"Tracker, there's an inhabited solar system not far from here. Decepticon intelligence shows that it was this region of the galaxy where Megatron chose to establish a command post. Sealed records of Shockwave's regenesis project. I think we're not far from where the first fleet set up shop," Toil said.

"Megatron's operations are not my concern; however...it is possible that Omega Supreme would head to the same inhabited region. If Megatron is here, the Prime will not be far. And the Guardian will seek out the Prime."

For the first time since the vessel left the Elban battlefront, Scourge took a seat in the command chair and accessed a console of his own, bringing of the same intelligence records that his Sweeps had access to.

"Set a course directly for that inhabited system. Full speed ahead. I want a full map of everything in and around Megatron's base of operations. If the Guardian attempts to flee, we must be able to intercept him with no obstructions."

Scourge's expression darkened.

"We have you now, mighty one."

"If you want to make yourself useful," Sunstreaker sharply spoke to Arclight without actually facing the weapons engineer. "You can man Sciences and Communications, or you can go check the weapon holds."

“Mmm,” Arclight growled with narrowed optics, not caring much for Sunstreaker’s tone. “Did I ask you?” She folded her arms over her chest and looked to Springer.

"Option's yours." Springer stated as he turned halfway in his chair. "Either of the stations Sunstreaker suggested would be your best bet, but I'm not one to question your own skill palette. Might not be too lively in the back of the ship though..."

“Yeah…” Arclight mumbled, settling down a bit. She wasn’t too happy to be taking Sunstreaker up on his suggestion. Shoulders slumped, she moved over to the Science and Communications station and ran a few checks on ship systems and weapons. She sighed and rested her head on her hand propped up by her elbow on the console as she tapped away with one hand at the terminal.

All green. Everything looked. Great. Her usual enthusiasm dampened significantly, Arclight sulked at her station, continuously running checks. Sideswipe had brought up the cloak, so that didn’t leave much in the way of things to do for her.

As something registered on her display, Arclight frowned. What? She lifted her head up to allow both hands access to the controls. Something…weird. Communications wasn’t her forte, but she attempted to isolate the reading.

“Huh…guys? I got a weird…weird thing here. I think…I think I’ve….got it!” She smashed the key to broadcast the message through the bridge.

"He wasn't all too specific on the details... Maybe a couple of asteroids or something," Springer said, answering Sandstorm's earlier question. The answer prompted Sandstorm's expression to twist a little in thoughtful confusion.

"Hmm...that sounds strangely 'un-Magnuslike'. Usually he has the target, its serial number, its barium coding signatures, its production cycle..."

As he continued, he walked over to one of the crew stations and brought up the ship's scanning equipment.

"Just let me know what I'm keeping an optic out for and, well, I'll do that," Sandstorm said with a playful grin.

Sunstreaker leaned back in his small station chair and raised his arms above his head in a mocking stretch and yawn, a moments respite from the droning silence that had pervaded the bridge since the small shuttle had left its berth with the Guardian. Since their departure, the golden warrior of the Autobot Military, had commenced with the evaluation of the tactical capabilities of Ultra Magnus' personal long range combat shuttle. Quietly he had run as many diagnostics as he could consider, each system turned clean. That was completed as the small vessel passed the furthest elliptical orbit of the forth planet in the solar system.

"I've been on briefings with Prowl that were less boring than this," Sunstreaker groaned as he leaned back over his console again. To busy himself again, the warrior activated a sub file in the tactical display. Adding several lines of code into the base command line, Sunstreaker activated the ship's manifest. Swiftly, and probably for the fifth or sixth time, Sunstreaker reviewed its contents as to what exactly had been placed within the large unmodified hold of the shuttle craft.

At the bottom of the manifest, a pair objects that he had not noticed before caught his attention. He brought up the items in greater detail. "So Ultra Magnus wants to use us to test some new toys built by that unrefined tech jock Ironfist? And you think he wants it on some dirt ball Springer?" Sunstreaker looked over his shoulder briefly as the two items rotated on his station's screen. "Then care to explain why Magnus cared to have two high yield portable shield generators brought on board?"

He waited for only a moment before his own tactical alert tags began to flash crimson. Sunstreaker broke down the manifest files and returned them to the background for future study. Then with a rapid and fluid sweep of his digits over the console controls he was able to pin point an undefined sensor anomaly. A brief scowl touched at the side of his lip as Arclight began playing the fragmented message that she had intercepted. "Least you could have done would have been to send the blasted signal through the anti-fragmentation system before playing that static filled garble."

Sunstreaker activated passive sensors and narrowed the gain. "Springer, got something near the tenth planetoid of this systems ice belt. Whatever sent that crap message, got almost no power reading from here." He looked back over his shoulder to the green triple changer. "Its off Magnus' recommended course. I say we go investigate."

Combat Shuttle Longevity: Bridge

The doors of the bridge opened as the small, for dinosaur standards, Noise lumbered onto the area.

"Have we found Decepticons yet?!" He said in his usual over energetic voice, his tail slamming on the floor.

Graphy flew behind him and perched on on some nearby railings.

"Calm down Noise. Breaking the floor is not going to help any."

Well, so much for manning the sensors, when Mr. Personality could find something that much quicker than he could. Sandstorm stepped over to look at what Sunstreaker had picked up.

"And look at that signal frequency. It's Cybertronian...but it's old. I haven't run across anything like that out in the field, well, ever."

The cabin became flooded as a new wave of information swept over its crew. Springer scanned over the various projections of data as his hastily made expedition team reported from each station.

"Hmm...that sounds strangely 'un-Magnuslike'. Usually he has the target, its serial number, its barium coding signatures, its production cycle..."

"And now you can see why I'm such a fan of his methods." Sideswipe chimed in from across the cabin. Springer let out a small chuckle as he listened over the shared conversation, continuing to study the information terminals before him. The sound of banging metal drew Springer's attention away as Graphy and Noise stomped in. Well one stomped in, the other kinda just swooped in all gentle like before perching on some railing.

"Can't say we found Decepticons..." Springer replied as he greeted the over-excited T-Rex of a cassette. "Not yet that is..."

He paused briefly as he studied the frequency of the garbled transmission, his optics forming a squinted-look as he glared into the data readouts Arclight provided. The triplechanger then pivoted in his chair to look over towards Sunstreaker and Sandstorm who were informing him about a something the sensors picked up.

Perceptor's anomaly, no doubt...

"Cybertronian, eh? No harm in investigating if you ask me." Springer stated following up on Sandstorm's observation. "Sideswipe, home in on that frequency. Sunstreaker, ready the weapon systems and prep Magnus' new armament. If whatever we stumble upon happens to be Decepticon-based and looking for a fight, I'd say they provided the perfect excuse for a proper field testing."

-

After a brief moment of sustained flight, the Longevity was beginning to close in on Neptune's gravity well when several different alerts rang throughout the cabin.

"Something's being picked up in scopes." The Crimson warrior at the helm commented as he tried to attend to several different controls at once. "Hey 'Storms, you getting any better readings on the scanner?"

Springer stared out the viewport in front of him and tried to locate the anomaly through vision alone, only to meet with the void of dark space in every direction save for the Neptunian horizon faintly peaking into the corner of his field of vision.

"Ease off the throttle there Sideswipe." Springer commanded as his facial features pressed the metal around his optics into a squint. "I'd prefer if we can find out what's out here before they find us."

"Yeah, sure, switching from impulse drive to... not impulse drive." Sideswipe replied as he pulled back on the throttle controls. He peered over towards the flashing light on his console showing that there was another incoming message before looking back over his shoulder towards Arclight. "Excuse me, stewardess, but while I'm flying this thing would you mind grabbing the phone?"

"Oh yeah. He's the best. The best," Sandstorm chuckled.

Sandstorm always flowed well with Springer's style of leadership. Very casual and still very willing to get in the thick of whatever they came across. it was a good mix, especially when they could be heading towards anything from an old Decepticon battleship to...Primus only knew what. Magnus was a different story. Always by the book. Usually by a book he had written, no less.

Noise walked over to Springer.

"Me hope we find them soon. How soon you think we find them?"

Meanwhile Graphy took advantage of the fact that Noise was distracted by Springer to fly over to the communication console.

"If I may..." The flying cassettebot politely interrupted. "If you open the access port for me I can transform into my cassette mode and help you decipher that message."

"Least you could have done would have been to send the blasted signal through the anti-fragmentation system before playing that static filled garble."

“Rrrr…” was all Arclight managed in response to Sunstreaker. She was gonna kill him before too long. Crossing her arms over her chestplate, she glanced back at Springer. Only Graphy and Noise decided to enter the bridge, so her attention was immediately drawn to Noise’s ruckus. Had that name for a reason she supposed. Those two…those were Blaster’s subordinates. She wondered what they were doing aboard the shuttle.

It was decided that they would investigate the strange readings, which was fine with Arclight. Never knew what adventures you could get into with Springer! Or…so she’d been told. As they slowed, Sideswipe told her what she already knew. They were getting a call.

“Cut it out with the stewardess scrap or I’ll field test my latest creation on you and your brother’s heads!” Arclight snapped testily. Grumbling, Arclight did her best to decode the transmission again. Communications wasn’t exactly her field…

"Trying. This asteroid field is a beast. Arc, what about you? Anything more come out of that weird transmission you picked up?"

“Working on it. It’ll be another astrosecond or two,” she replied as she tapped away at the console. Her concentration was broken the moment Graphy swooped over and perched near her.

"If I may..." The flying cassettebot politely interrupted. "If you open the access port for me I can transform into my cassette mode and help you decipher that message."

“Oh sure!” Arclight said, opening up the access port for the cassettobot, “Thanks, that’ll help. I’m not exactly a communications expert, heh. Play it once we get it figured, alright, Graphy?”

Sunstreaker's specialized Paint Job Threat System Sensors flared to life in a narrow fraction of a second, and the most spectacular reflexes ever designed in any life form kicked into effect. The Golden Warrior ducked his head low and to his left. Another fraction of a second passed and he could swear he felt the presence of a change in air pressure that swept over where his cranial unit and shoulder joint had just been. He then threw up his left hand and immediately closed his fingers around a thick metallic trunk that had threatened his most precious possession... himself. "Great," he muttered to himself as he applied a small amount of pressure onto the confiscated tail that had swooshed back and forth from the primitive cassette that had sauntered in from Primus knew where. "Just what we needed, another duo of Grimlock's brood."

He pushed the tail aside, using enough strength to prove a point but holding back enough as to not damage the deck any further than it already had been by the lumbering Apatosaurus. "Keep waging that tail near so carelessly Noise, and the Decepticons will be the least of your worries." Sunstreaker's comment was barely concealing his annoyance at the near catastrophic travesty that could have been brought upon the universe.

Not wasting any further time, Sunstreaker pushed himself from the tactical station and deactivated the terminal's swivel chair. He entered a pair of codes into the system and brought the top and nose turrets online. The lights of the bridge dimmed slightly as he shunted power from the engines to the two primary batteries before they returned to their former luminescence. He had heard Springer's order to begin prepping the torpedo tube for potential combat, and simply nodded, still not taking his optics off the pygmy dinobot. "Alright, turbo lasers are prepped and ready for action. I'll head down to the torpedo deck and see what we have to work with Springer." He stepped over Noise's tail and then headed to the hatch at the rear of the bridge.

He stepped over the threshold and paused briefly before looking back of his shoulder. "Hey Sideswipe, keep this bucket steady. If I get a dent because you want to be a stunticon, I'll make sure its the last thing you ever accomplish in your short functional span."

With that he disappeared through the hatch, leaving the tactical computer access port open allowing Noise or Graphy access to the system should they come under fire while he was down below. He carefully made his way passed the passenger cabin with its six bench seats and large holographic monitor located on the bulkhead separating it from the bridge. It was still a relative mess after the recent battle down on the planet Earth, spare parts and discarded munition shells still littered much of the cabin. After a few steps he stopped and spared only a brief glance into the converted cargo hold that had been dubbed Casualty Care Unit One... or something to that effect. It still maintained its two CR chambers and an operation table and medical supplies still stacked against its furthest wall.

A moment of silence passed as a small cleaner drone shuffled between his legs, spraying antiseptics and cleanser on the floors of the makeshift medical bay in an attempt to remove the stains of lubricants and spilled energon. Sunstreaker simply grunted and returned to his pace down the stairs that separated the bay from the smaller cargo hold where the munitions and other supplies had been stashed, including a pair of high powered portable shield generators. As soon as he hit the bottom of the secondary hold, Sunstreaker turned sharply to his right and made his way underneath the initial stair well.

Combat Shuttle Longevity: Torpedo Bay

Sunstreaker pushed open the manually controlled hatch and immediately regretted the maneuver. A gust of air rushed passed him as the atmospheric pressure rapidly forced equalization, upon the wind fragments of metallic dust and freshly applied lubricant molecules pepped his right forearm as he shielded his optics. Once pressurization was equalized, the warrior stepped into the tight confines of the munition bay and immediately took stock in the stores that he would eventually have at his disposal. Ten Proton Torpedoes lined the two bulkheads, five on each rack, and labeled with various warnings and instructions which meant little to him. At the furthest end of the bulkhead, and decidedly below the nose of the small blockade runner shuttle, was a single ovoid hatch that sat low to the deck and fed by a tractor conveyor. Two small robotic arms were located above the two stacks of torpedoes to aid in the movement of the devastating munitions should the ship ever be forced into combat.

Sunstreaker scowled at the safeties that were still in place. Though not entirely unexpected, as the ship had just been rearmed and launched for a mission, the fact they were still active meant that if they had been ambushed, their response time would have been... limited.

The decks vibrated intensely as the powerful engines were located on the same level of the shuttle, causing an uncomfortable omnipresent hum that would have driven less capable Autobots to fury. Instead, Sunstreaker simply did his best to tune it out and confiscated a spanner from one of the tool boxes located to the right of the torpedo launcher hatch itself. He spun it around his fingers twice before he began the laborious task of removing the safety locks off of the torpedoes.

Minutes passed by and turned into nearly thirty as he finished the eighth of the standard shaped torpedoes that had lined the two walls. Finally he came to the last two torpedoes of only a slightly familiar design, a design that had caught his attention that prompted him to decide to board the Longevity in the first place. Sunstreaker made his way over to the advanced tactical consoles located on the first torpedo and entered the standard activation codes to prepare it for potential launch... in other words placing it in standby like the others before it. And his codes were immediately... denied. Sunstreaker reentered the codes and the same response came.

After the fourth entry and rejection, the torpedo terminal flashed a simple warning stating what Sunstreaker was only beginning to surmise. The codes of a Command Level Officer was required for Safety Lock Disengagement and Standby Protocol Activation. The Golden Warrior clinched his fingers into a tight fist and slammed it against the intra ship communications terminal. "Hey, Arclight... Do something productive, tell that lime green crop duster I need his codes transmitted, or his new toys are nothing more than really fancy paperweights."

“Anything?” Streamlight kept his eyes glued to the readouts before him while he quarried his companion. Rung had been working tirelessly trying to get his message out to any Autobot within the immediate sector while trying hard not to draw the attention of any Decepticons who just might be lurking about.

“Nothing so far.” The psychoanalyst said while flipping a few switches. “I suppose that’s a good thing considering there are also Decepticons in the area.”

Streamlight quickly glanced over his shoulder and gave Rung a quizzical look. “How do you know?”

“Well, the Autobots that are stationed there are attempting to stop the Decepticons from entering the next stage of their infiltration protocols.” Rung checked again to see if he’d gotten a response.

Gently Streamlight steered pass a sizable chunk of debris as he thought aloud. “What phase were they heading into?”

The psychoanalyst’s head popped up as he stared deep in thought up at the ceiling. “You know, I’m not exactly sure.”

“I bet not even the ‘Cons know.”Streamlight let out a chuckle.

The analysis provided by the young mech brought a smile to Rung’s face. Streamlight was probably right.

((OOC-Nudging Graphy's bit forward for the sake of momentum.))

Shuttle Longevity--Pilot's Cabin

Sandstorm was as curious as any of the other Autobots to see what Graphy could make out of the weird transmission they had picked up. He didn't really know many of Blaster's Cassetobots all that well, but he knew enough about what they did to know that if anybody could make sense out of that garble it was sure to be one of them. And before long, he was proven right.

The message now played through the cabin as clearly as if the speaker were standing right next to them. Sandstorm's optics widened in amazement. Rung....and Omega Supreme? No way...

"Oh wow. Did I hear that right? He said Omega Supreme, yeh? Omega fraggin', 'Con smashin' Supreme?"

"Hey, Arclight... Do something productive, tell that lime green crop duster I need his codes transmitted, or his new toys are nothing more than really fancy paperweights."

Arclight scowled as the annoying yellow one’s voice crackled over the shuttle’s internal comm system. She glanced back at Springer. “Didja get that, Springer?” As she did that, Graphy seemed to have managed to make sense out of the static-filled garble of the message.

Arclight’s optics narrowed. Rung and Omega…Supreme? She wasn’t sure why but the latter name rang a bell. The teal femme tilted her head to the side quizzically. She couldn’t quite recall it.

"Oh wow. Did I hear that right? He said Omega Supreme, yeh? Omega fraggin', 'Con smashin' Supreme?"

“Refresh my memory…who’s Omega Supreme?” Arclight asked, looking over to Sandstorm.

“Refresh my memory…who’s Omega Supreme?”

Sandstorm's vocalizer opened slightly in surprise. Arclight didn't know who Omega Supreme was? What in the-? Who didn't know-?

But the more Sandstorm thought about it, the more he realized he didn't really know who Omega Supreme was, either. I mean, he knew he existed and that he was a big deal and all that, but it wasn't like he was some crazy smart student of history or something.

"He was...um...ahhh...he was big. Old! Big and old! He hung out with Primes. Big, old Primes."

He then looked at the others in the cabin.

"Lil' help?"

"I heard that, Shick-shift!" Springer joking mocked back to the golden-classes warrior down in the torpedo bay as he entered in his codes into the small terminal fixated on his chair's arm. There was a dim mutter around him of the various mechs gathered before one of Blaster's little cassettes managed to descramble the interference on that strange transmission.

Sideswipe sat in awe as the report of information flooded into the cabin. Even worse was the fact that Arclight back there had no clue as to how significant ol' Omega is. Was... No wait he still is.

"Gez, you've been living in a garage your whole life there, Sparky?" Sideswipe questioned as he spun around in his chair to face the femme. "He's one of them Omega Sentinels! I can't remember if he's the last or the best of them, but every Cybertronian knows of him!" He spun back around and returned to handling the Longevity's controls. "Rumors say that he's the Bot every Con fears about before going for a recharge. Ya know, behind yours truly here."

"It can't be..." Springer finally chimed in as he rose from his seat to check on Sandstorm's terminal, carefully taking a step over Noise's lizard-like body as to not step on him. Once he was besides his fellow Triplechanger, the green and yellow warrior studied the terminal below.

"There." He stated pointing at the screen. "That's too big an asteroid to be caught floating about in this planet's gravity well. It's gotta be him- I mean them. That message is just a repeated distress beacon. Arclight, can you hail Omega or his crew? See what their status is? Sideswipe, continue drawing us closer to their signal, ready the boarding claw just incase."

Springer then turned away from the navigation console and approached the large viewport fixated at the forward-end of the bridge and stared out into the icy-black void that surrounded them. The transmission replayed in the back of his processor. The one who called, he knew that voice all too well for this to be a fake...

He was...um...ahhh...he was big. Old! Big and old! He hung out with Primes. Big, old Primes."

“Like Optimus Prime?” Arclight asked curiously. The teal-green femme’s optics widen a bit, and she covered her mouth self-consciously. “Er…too soon, maybe? I mean I…er…” She trailed off, unsure of how to end that sentence. It didn’t matter too much because Sideswipe had his own thoughts on the matter.

"Gez, you've been living in a garage your whole life there, Sparky? He's one of them Omega Sentinels! I can't remember if he's the last or the best of them, but every Cybertronian knows of him! Rumors say that he's the Bot every Con fears about before going for a recharge. Ya know, behind yours truly here."

“Well, I’m not a Cybertronian…” Arclight grumbled softly, pouting a bit. It was difficult to be the odd bot out. She perked up slightly as Springer walked over to Sandstorm’s station, gazing intently at the screen. It apparently was Omega Supreme. Anticipation jolted through her circuits. She was about to meet an Autobot legend! She couldn’t wait!

“Arclight, can you hail Omega or his crew? See what their status is? Sideswipe, continue drawing us closer to their signal, ready the boarding claw just incase."

“Aye, aye, Springer!” Arclight chirped as she whirled back around to her console and attempted to get a line through to the stranded Autobots.

Decepticon destroyer--Burning Justice

As the doors to the bridge opened once more, the decrepit Sweep Macabre limped his way into Scourge's field of vision and knelt before the infamous Tracker.

"We've locked on to trace signals. Omega, or someone aboard, is attempting to reestablish a connection with Autobots that they surely believe are in the area."

Scourge said nothing, his cold stare remaining fixated on the Sweep. Macabre looked up, quickly realizing that his report was not satisfactory on its own and stuttered forth to deliver what else he had discovered.

"I, er, also found Decepticon intelligence archives. This same sector is the one Megatron chose for his latest infiltration and expansion of the empire. All of the records I was able to access show that they came to a planet in this galaxy; many of them, however, are encrypted and inaccessible."

At this, at last, Scourge's optics flickered. He had suspected as much, but this was the confirmation he had been waiting for.

"Then the Guardian wishes to reconnect with the Prime. It's only natural. I just needed...more," Scourge said idly. One pointed, crimson claw traced a line along the edge of his chin.

"This will do. Analyze every planet in this region and isolate any that can sustain terrestrial life. Set our course directly for whatever you find. I have a feeling we will intercept our prey. Perhaps...it will be us who awaits his arrival and not Optimus Prime."

"Yes, great hunter," Macabre said, looking down once more. Scourge then rose to his feet.

"I will confer with Lord Scorponok directly. Ensure that a clear connection can be made to Garrus-9."

Longevity--Cabin

Sandstorm could still barely get his mind around the fact that they were dealing with Omega Supreme. This, after just having dealt with another Cybertronian myth--suddenly made all too real--in the form of the Fallen. It was a lot to take in, to put it lightly.

Still, just sitting around trying to make contact wasn't doing him any favors, and probably not Omega either.

"That transmission from that Rung guy said they were in the Kupier belt, Kuiper belt...whichever...near Sol-8. Let's just set a course for that area, huh? I'm sure we'll find him. Omega will be pretty hard to miss once we're anywhere within range."

Weapon: Automatic Acid-Pellet Gun
Shuttle Longevity: Torpedo Bay

A brief smirk tugged at his lips as he toggled a few controls at the forward terminal as a stream of data came trickling down from the bridge one deck above. A pair of cables, mirrored on either side of each of the newly designed torpedoes, snaked down from their portals and slipped carefully into designated ports. They twisted into place and secured themselves tight as their new directives were carried out.

Sunstreaker immediately retrieved a data pad from one of the charging ports located along the starboard bulkhead. He thumbed through the flow of data with his right hand as he tapped a hyper spanner against his left shoulder. New arming instructions were filtered through security protocols, leaving him with only the basics needed to activate the weapons and prepare them for potential launch.

The golden warrior spun the spanner in hand and, as the instructions ordered, slipped the tool into the appropriate receptacle of the first device. As the cables pumped fuel, telemetry data, star chart data, and quantum phase variance signature data into the on board tactical computers... the fourth part narrowly piquing Sunstreaker's interest on a more primal level with regards to what exactly these weapons were designed for, Sunstreaker himself began using the spanner to make necessary adjustments to prepare the warheads for arming.

It took all of ten minutes for Sunstreaker to finish the adjustments to the two transphasic prototypes, a testament to the quality and care Ironfist had invested in the development of these new weapons. Once he was satisfied each device matched the requisite specifications on the data slate, he returned it to the starboard charging port.

Combat Shuttle Longevity: Bridge

Sunstreaker emerged from the lower decks with a mocking stretch and an exaggerated yawn as the doors separating the bridge from the passenger cabin parted. "Well that was certainly beneath my talents," he quipped. His optics immediately absorbed the visible readings on the barely covered sensor monitor at Sandstorm's station. He paused in place as his mind began to absorb the signals that were replayed over and over on a nigh endless loop.

He said nothing more as he by passed Noise and Arclight, only grunting an acknowledgement to the former, as he resumed his placement at the tactical position on the bridge. Immediately upon closing the access port that would have granted the louder cassette access to the combat systems of the shuttle, if the need were to arise, Sunstreaker began usurping sensor control temporarily from Sandstorm. He began entering a complex series of commands into the sensors to verify the initial rumors and commotion he had caught upon entering the bridge. "You know, if you four had spent more time actually narrowing down those comm signals to a proper point of origin, instead of diving down memory file lane for the sake of someone not versed in modern mythology, we would have already been docking with Omega Supreme by now." His voice was laced with his standard sarcasm and a hint of irritation as he entered command after string of command into his own assigned terminal.

Immediately the helm control console went dark as command of the ship's navigation was shifted to the tactical computer. Sunstreaker would tune out the eventual protests of his younger brother, but time was not entirely a luxury they had in abundance... and besides they had wasted far too much time discussing the historical notes of Omega Supreme rather than actively seeking out the true source of the signal. Sunstreaker then diverted command and control from Navigation in order to bolster his tactical analysis of where the signal had originated. Without waiting orders, he tossed up a stellar cartography map upon the forward view screen. A second later it zoomed in onto the Sol System. He immediately cross checked navigational records with the sensor readings and communications logs.

Seconds later the golden warrior had a course plotted into the main navigational computer and the engines at maximum burn. The bridge shuddered only marginally as the powerful engines of the combat shuttle forced the small ship to full impulse, driving passed the orbits of the Jovian kings of Jupiter and Saturn. As the navigational plot shifted, updating every other minute showing the relationship of the Longevity to the source of the distress call, Sunstreaker began updating the comm chatter and filtering into a narrow band transmission burst directed back along the shuttle's ion trail to the Guardian's receivers. Another usurped task that would have been best taken care of by the communications officer, but Sunstreaker had little patience of mind. He was getting restless and his impatience was beginning to grate beneath the very surface of his carefully schooled features.

Ignoring the protests of his fellow Autobots, Sunstreaker allowed his fingers to dance over the console controls... adjusting courses where and when necessary to avoid potential impacts by interstellar debris or radiation fronts from eons lost solar storms. Ten minutes stretched to fifteen to twenty. Finally he released helm and navigation control back to the forward terminal where his little brother sat, most likely irritated and bored, though he maintained his own link to the system. "Now that you're done arguing the divinity of Omega Supreme, we're coming up on his position now. Switching field of view forward, maximum tactical magnification." Instantly the star chart winked to nothingness to be replaced by an up close vision of Omega Supreme.

Carbon streaks and blast marks pocked the armored hull, evidence of fierce battle... a battle with something big or multiple things that were big. Sunstreaker could not help but release a sadistic grin as it tugged at the corner of his mouth plate. The amount of damage the guardian had suffered was only a prelude, a testament that there was more to come, and he would be waiting.

Before he could further marvel at the image before him, a small alarm on his panel was triggered. Sunstreaker returned his gaze to the tactical screen as a thin wisp of copper began to trace at the fringes of sensor range. Deftly Sunstreaker began filtering out background radiation and orbital debris paths that lead from the Keiper belt towards the inner portion of the solar system.

As the automated pilot brought the Longevity closer to Omega's nearest air lock, Sunstreaker began to realign the shield emitters of the shuttle. A momentary thump soon reverberated throughout the ship as the docking boon extended between the shuttle and latched onto Omega Supreme. "Sandstorm. Adjust sensor frequency to Lam El Four Seven. Filter with known impulse ion signatures. Getting some readings that aren't registering as 'naturally occurring'." He looked over at his shoulder at Sideswipe and Springer. "Oh and final docking procedures are almost done. If I waited for you two, we'd be nothing but piles of intergalactic rust."

OoC: Moving us along was agreed to by crew.

Omega Supreme

A small grunt escaped Streamlight while he used his one hand, coupled with an extreme amount of bodyweight, to steer the rocket out of the line of yet another asteroid. The young ‘Bot was getting tired both physically and mentally. Their escape from the prison complex was harrowing but now they were on their own, he and Rung, and possibly being pursued by ‘Cons from their last location.

Rung glanced over at Streamlight and let out a low sigh. The belt was becoming denser and the young mech was getting tired.

“Do you, ugh, think the ‘Cons might’ve sent someone after us?” Streamlight took a quick glance over at Rung before he turned his attention full on to his steering.

Rung checked the radio’s frequencies again while he thought about how to answer the former guard. He finally shrugged and sighed while giving up his answer. “I have no doubt they did. I’m just uncertain how far behind us they might be.” Rung looked back at Streamlight, who was looking even more worn out than before.

“How’re you holding up?” The psychologist asked. From his place the flier shrugged and chuckled. “I’m holding my own. And with just one hand that’s saying a lot.” He flashed Rung an exhausted smile.

But before Rung could respond a sound suddenly filled the ship. At first it startled the two but after a moment they recognized what it was…a voice! And one that did not belong to Omega Supreme!

>>”Hello? Hello? Can anyone hear this? Omega? What’s your status? Is everything alright?”<<

Near frantic Rung quickly opened up a line to answer the voice. >>”Yes! Yes, I can hear you! This is Rung, Autobot Psy-Ops Specialist. Omega has slipped into stasis. We’re here after escaping from Garrus 9. We believe we may have been followed by Decepticons.”<<

“Primus , please tell me they heard me.” Rung said lowly.

“Um, doc.” Streamlight caught Rung’s attention. “We’re running out of fuel and time. If we’re gonna get out of this they need to get here like yesterday.”
