This is a very long video and i apologize for that. I basically did individual reviews of each robot in my normal style. Ending it with a review of the big guy himself. I included here as well as time stamps in the video description on youtube itself to help you guys out. Enjoy

Swindle's review - 05:43
Brawl's review - 14:44
Onslaught's review - 24:03
Blastoff's review - 36:00
Vortex's review - 45:40
BRUTICUS' review - 53:23

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v7zqFoBA0yc

*UPDATE*
Due to rather high request for this, here is a separate video showing the different limb configurations and such. This originally was going to be included in the first video, however i cut it out because the video was already at an hour long. Here's a whole new video. Hope it helps guys

That is one nice long review!

However, it convinced me that I actually do not care for these figures.
Swindle has the PRiD Knockout hollowness and I-am-going-to-break-you feel about him, and you say that they all have that. I really do not want to risk it.

I'm going to focus on the Prime line after all (and maybe FoC Grimlock).

EDIT - Afterthought: have you considered doing an update with the limbs swapped?

Here's the one many of you have been waiting for, a review of the SDCC 2012 exclusive Transformers: Fall of Cybertron Bruticus Box Set. Seibertron.com member optibotimus gives us a comprehensive look at the set, including the individuals figures. It's a long one, but he was kind enough to list when the review of each figure begins if there's one you more interested in than the others. Check out his review embedded below.

It's okay, not a very solid combiner as many would hope for. I think the engineers were retarded for giving Vortex that lame-ass hand in combined mode...WTF! I think of all the Combaticons Onslaught does have the crappiest looking alt mode, looks like a incomplete atv quad. I hope the powers that be learn from all this and make major improvements for the next combiner...'nuff said! :VEHI:

Yeeeah I think I'll stick to my Fansproject bruticus complete with rotf bruticus maximus...much more true to the original and doesn't look like a mess of terribly proportioned parts, I've seen knock offs that look better than this.

*edit* All right to be fair the bot is good looking until you get to the arms and then it's just an awkward looking disaster, so if some third party came along with better arm limbs and I don't know...chunkier legs? I'd pick up this set, but left as is, I see no reason to get this in addition to the Coupe de Grace fansproject set.

I like him alot more than I thought I would. I can deal with the little flaws. It's the neon colors that are going to get to me, because I'll likely be picking up the retail version...

It's weird how he sounds baffled by the cybertronian modes and seems underwhelmed but then LOVES the set. Especially since every other word was "unfortunate".

Very nice! I like what I'm seeing. I wonder how long it will take for the screen accurate version to make it to shelves? I'd be waiting for that if it weren't for the fact that they might not have done first edition or the last few waves of DOTM. As it stands, I'm forced to get the poopy G2 version. Oh well, at least they have the awesome G2 symbols on them. I just wonder what the **** Hasbro were thinking by making the accurate one a convention exclusive and not the G2 version? Dumbest idea from them I've heard of from them in a long time.

This IS the screen accurate version. The retail on is nasty neon colors and the Amazon exclusive is G2 colors.

Yeah, that's what I was saying.

EDIT: Wait. Ok so there's the screen accurate one and the G2 one that I already knew about, the G2 one is an Amazon exclusive? And then there's ANOTHER one? I only knew about this one, the G2 one, and the Wreckers one.

There are three official Bruticus releases:

- SDCC videogame accurate
- Retail in bright colours
- G2 Amazon and BBTS Exclusive

Then Ruination, the Wreckers repaint/remold.

It looks a little better then I thought.. However the arms look too long or something...

I dunno... I am not liking some of the aesthetics and features of a couple of the bots..

I am still on the fence with this guy though...

Looks like a big ol'pile of meh.
It might have been saved by some better arm articulation and looks in gestalt mode, but since its a fail there, none of the other aspects are worth it.
The individual bot modes of some are pretty nice, like onslaught and blastoff... And I actually REALLY like that tank mode for Brawl. But its really too crappy for me to even consider for the wreckers repaints.
They just need to maybe simplify some things. I feel some of the transformations are too complex for keeping the simple joints. I don't care if some pieces look broken up in vehicle mode, or overly blocky in robot mode, but the gestalt has got to have all the articulation and looks to make them all worth it.

MY GOD, it's horrible. All the scalpers are morons.

Normally most of the ebayers ship international but when SDCC is going on no one ships international :s

Still, I will get my SDCC set from ebay. The importshops can't get their hands on it and I have little faith they will.

I must have.

He posted an update with swapped limbs, and actually looks better in my opinion!

Ruination may be the better choice between the two after all..

Agreed. Vortex and Blast Off are slimmer as legs than Swindle and Brawl and so they look better attached to the thin thighs of Onslaught.

I'll admit this set appears better than I thought it would. The individual Combaticons aren't too bad. I don't think they make a good Combaticon team but they're pretty good purely from a figure stand point.

As far as Bruticus goes; he's not terrible and is easily the best official combiner in a long time, but I have no desire for him. He's too much of a stretched, dangly mess. Two hip joints on each leg and the gorilla arms three metres from the body are complete turn-offs. I doff my cap to Hasbro for allowing any limb to be used in any position, (especially with the two hands or thumbs business) but all the hands are generally kind of poor. Also weird how three of the limbs have bright purple connectors but only Vortex gets black.

Would have loved a size comparison with any of the 3rd party combiners, but thanks for posting your review Optibotimus. The hour just flew by.

Definitely decent. Not terrible, not exceptional, but a hell of a lot better than PCCs. The individual figures look pretty great, at least in bot modes. I'm settling for the retail version, so I have to put up with neon colors, but at least they're still pretty cool.

nice review, but this guy still looks horrible. Perhaps with some heavy customizing this contraption might start to look good, but most likely that would mean the loss of individual bots.

Keep your optics tuned to Seibertron for the latest news!

EDIT: Sorry, Optibotimus. This was definitely newsworthy, we should've had this up sooner.

I rather like the Scramble City nature of these guys. I'm going to try and get every version released which means I'll also be able to mix and match limbs as I see fit and end up with some very diverse combinations, especially since the arms can become legs and the legs can become arms.
