Clearly you've never been to the north. Here in Canada (Toronto in particular) hockey dwarfs b-ball, baseball, and even football in popularity. Hell, with the lockout over i can't turn on a tv or radio without some talking head blithering on about it endlessly.

As for the jersey, its ok, but too much like the Habs jersey for this be-Leafer.

Wow Im really taking a beating for my hockey comment. I have been to New York, but Im not a Northern native. Like I said, Im from the south. We used to have the Florida Panthers closer to Miami, but they moved further up north because they didnt get much support from the latino population down here. Out here baseball is the equivilant to hockey up north. The Florida Marlins recently got re-named the Miami Marlins which is what it should have always been from the beginning. Other than Wayne Gretzky, I couldnt name a single hockey player. Cant say I arree with naming teams after dumb birds like Ducks and Penguins either. But I must admit, letting the players fight is pretty cool. I wish they would let basketball players beat the crap out of each other. Id love it !

Well, you kind of left yourself open to ardent Puckheads. That said, I understand the indifference to hockey from the South. You don't get much snow and ice down there and thus really never have the chance to play the sport as it should be played, on a frozen pond. I, for the life of me, don't understand the popularity of baseball or football in the US, but having not grown up there, I guess I will never know what it means to Americans.

Also I don't see how naming teams after fish is better than birds. All birds are significantly more intelligent than fish BTW. In fact aren't a lot of baseball teams named after birds too? Hell, my hometown Jays are birds. Which reminds me, sorry about the fleecing my team gave yours this off-season...not.

OptimusPayne, Stars fan here. I also own several NHL games. Probably the reason why baseball and football more popular here than Canada is the weather. Baseball in particular is extremely weather influenced. Precipation just messes with the game's physics and the ball travels farther in hot weather. Also the extra down in American football also helps ;).

The jersey is alright from the pictures, but I would be worried about the price tag.
