G1 began its life as parallel universes: Marvel G1 and Cartoon G1. Even broken furhter down with Marvel US G1 and Marvel UK G1; and US Cartoon G1 and Japanese Cartoon G1.

I still get a kick out of the fact that the Transformers, G.I. Joe, Jem and the Inhumanoids cartoon all exist within the same continuity. Heck, C.O.P.S. was a surprise.

What makes this funnier is that in effect the Shattered Glass universe has done nods to two of these thus far (Inhumanoids, G.I. Joe), so chances are there's probably a goodie-two-shoes take on the Misfits and whatnot looming around there too.
