LOL, "I'd get checked out if I were you, signed Slim Slendy"

See for me, unlike jeff, I wasn't introduced to "Slim Slendy" via the creepyspasta, I heard of him during the littlekuriboh's Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged, and pictures like this. So slendy isn't frightening to me Image

But uhm does any one Remember that Old Pirate puppet show?

Watch out! you get banned from forums if you talk about "Candle Cove"
Anyhow, I dont remember it, but my friend's dad says that it sounds earely familiar. Not only that, but there is footage of the supposed "screaming episode" but then it flashes to a creepy picture, then to static, making me believe it was faked. The footage I mean. There is no evidence disproving the show's existance.

lol

huh that's kinda really creepy that fact your friend's father vaguely remembers it.

I liked the Tales of the Laughing stock creepypasta. The thing I wonder is that in the storys there's some sorta curse involving the show and it's creator, what's with the puppets and memorabilia. In the tales of the laughing stock, Micheal Colon, the skin taker's voice actor, had nightmare's about the skin taker puppet killing his son, who was supposedly born the day the "Grind your skin" (I think) episode aired, and is possible killed by something related to the show as is the narrator of the pasta . in the same pasta after the screaming episode was recorded, a stage hand supposedly saw the creator pleading to the mangled puppets. In a related pasta, Memoirs of a Set Designer: A Candle Cove Story, many of the cast and crew were either killed or scarred during and after the filming of the show and, back to Tales of the Laughingstock, it's said that the show was loosely based on an old, quite lost short story called "The Nickerbocker's Tale" from 1767. The story's writer, vanished into the dark. Stories about it say that he was a madman who married well and had a daughter who vanished without a trace near his home. This inspired him to write the story and shortly after, he was found dead by his wife. However that's to assume that all the candle cove pasta's are related and meant to continue the story

There is alot of hooplah and fiction there, it is creepypasta afterall, it's ment for good storytelling. BUT. Alot of the main pastas vranch out from true events. Like legends.

Take the "Owl Man" for example. An age old myth, recently givin light. An old photo of the supposed "Owl Man" was discovered rather recently. And in the photo you can clearly see that it wasnt a man, just a very large eurasian eagle owl. Those things are massive, easy for folks way back when radio was as advanced as it got to mistake for a demon or crreature of some sort.

People take shows and turn themn into twisted fiction all the time.

And dont even get me started on the video game related ones. You can actually buy a copy of Creepy Black now...

The door in the computer room flung itself open a few minutes ago. Nothing else to say really. Just a total WTF moment. Considering the damn thing closes so tight you would need to kick it down to open it without turning the knob, well, that frightens me a little.

So, do you guys remember that clown thing that I mentioned before? Well, it's gone. Looks like you were right, BP! An exorcism did the trick! However, I was not even indirectly involved with any part of it. My neighbor had always seemed a tad weird, although none of us could ever decide why, exactly. I was supposed to house sit for him one time while he was on vacation, but I got creeped out because of all the weird crap that would happen and stuff I would see, and had to go back home to sleep every night. I didn't mention to anyone what exactly I saw. Anyway, he died a while back and weirder stuff started happening around there. I even thought someone was breaking into the house one time, because I heard a rattling noise and saw a silhouette wandering around the yard. I followed it with a flashlight, and when I chased it around a corner, it just vanished and I never saw it again. To make a long story short, stuff like this kept happening and the guy's wife, who had moved out years ago due to incidents of the paranormal sort, and her sister kept seeing/feeling/hearing/even smelling things, too. So they called their pastor and they held an exorcism! And no joke, as soon as it ended, the house smelled better, didn't feel weird, looked brighter, etc. Apparently there was something pretty nasty "living" there. And luckily for me, the clown dreams and whatnot all stopped as a result!

My friend had a similar experience. In the end they had to call their local priest and bless the house (they were Tongan, so I'm not certain if it was an exorcism).
You could just feel the tension in the air when you walked into his house. Only after he told me what happened with the priest did it make sense.

I just hope the dreams and whatever the thing was doesn't come back and get even worse. That happens sometimes if its connection to you or the house or whatever is strong enough.

I highly doubt it will. It's been several months since it all went away.

I whole heartedly accept the likelihood of aliens. I'm not arrogant enough to think that despite the vaste amount of life and its differences on this planet, that there's no other life out there. We haven't mapped the whole universe yet. When we have, then I'll accept they don't exist.

As for ghosts, they exist, though I wouldn't call them "ghosts", and I'm not sure I accept the entire premise that theyr'e all the souls of trapped and tormented individuals. They could be anything from a psyhic imprint of energy, or something else along more scientific lines.

Just like aliens, I think its arrogant to rule out their existence. As a Catholic I do have varying degrees of theology wrapped up in what their purpose is, et al, but really, if I was an atheist, I'd still accept their place in the universe.

I've seen way to much crap to discount them. Way to much crap that was supported by other individuals whom I had not shared with. SO there was no way it was some shared experience or hallunication.

And as a nurse, beleive me when I tell you there's **** out there that exists beyond the physical. Watch a person die, then come and tell me there's no ghosts or afterlife.

Granted, I do think half, well, maybe 95% of ghost stories out there are a load of garbage. Most people just out for attention. As Catholic as I am, as much as I accept the concept of these spirits/thingies/ghosts/whatever, I dont think every bump is a ghost, or every dark shadow is a demon. Rule out the physical, you'll wind up dealing with the metaphysical.

Seems like it! I even got some new neighbors that moved into that old house, and they seem really pleased with the place. Then again, I doubt they'd tell me if they thought it was haunted, but hey, they really do seem fine.
