A brilliant flash of light covered the area for a fraction of a second approximately at 0:14 am in the night before the darkness spread its veil back over the region. Only 8 pairs of glowing optics penetrated the night for a short moment before they were replaced by lights projected from six different vehicles, two big rigs and 4 sportscars. In matter of moments, revving of engines took over the silence of the night as the group of Decepticons tested the engines of their new forms.

>>"Listen up boys! This will not end up like the fiasco we were involved in Chigaco. Until I give the permission, you will avoid drawing any attention to yourselves. This ain't not to say that you cannot cause any wrecks as long as there's no witnesses. That clear?!"<< Motormaster's doom-laden voice boomed through the communication systems of the rest of the group. >>"Good. Rumble, Frenzy engage hologram cloaks and select yourselves a ride, rest of you - engage hologram drivers."<<

Having said that, a hologram of a large, muscular man appeared on the driver's seat of the large black and grey International LoneStar semi which took the point, its engine roaring - not allowing time for either Rumble or Frenzy to get inside of its cabin.

>>"Our final target is the Frontier refinery in El Dorado but we are hardly in a hurry to reach it. I want you to spread out and scout for fleshsack re-fueling stations in the nearby region. We are going to get Octane's tanks full and some fuel sent back to Ultrax before we go open and assault the meatbag refinery to gain the attention of the Autobots. Even still, hammer it to your thick craniums none of you will do anything to pick up the attention of the fleshlings or the Autobots before it is time. We will make this look like a proper operation under Infiltration protocols! If the slaggin' bot's see us clearing the roads of those disgusting organics with no good reason, they will instantly realize we are here to grab their attention. That ain't gonna happen, get it?! Now, hit the roads!"<<

Once the brilliant light of the bounce beam dissipated, Drag Strip appeared standing alongside the rest of his Stunticon cohorts and one triple changing fueler. The former racer immediately followed the lead of his commander and transformed into his Dodge Viper SRT-10 vehicle mode. His headlights pierced through the darkness that had consumed them, illuminating the way directly ahead. He revved his engine in anticipation of the potential destruction he would soon cause.

Unfortunately, any kind of real fun would have to wait for a while as Motormaster laid out the rules they were all to follow. Clearly they would be under standard infiltration restrictions and protocols which would limit the amount of damage they could inflict on the locals, at least for the time being. Once they reached the refinery in El Dorado, then things would change and thus get very interesting again. Until then, the Stunticons were on a simple fuel hunt with the goal of filling up Octane’s tanks as much as possible.

How boring, Drag Strip thought as his engine settled down at the realization that rampant destruction would not be immediately forthcoming. Maybe he could get away with one or two wrecks just as long as there were no witnesses, like Motormaster said. The yellow Stunticon would have to be very careful, though, as he did not want to incur the wrath of his leader once again. Primus knows that old motor head didn’t need any additional reasons to pound on him some more.

The notion of one of Soundwave’s cassetticons riding inside of him was not appealing to Drag Strip at all and thus he immediately activated his holographic driver, a young man in his early twenties wearing a slick leather jacket and blue jeans. Drag then peeled out when Motormaster finally gave the order to hit the roads, leaving only tire tracks in his wake. The yellow sports car traveled down the deserted 20/82 highway at a high rate of speed, screeching through tight bends before passing Indian Springs Road and continuing onward towards the nearest town. Hopefully, he would soon encounter what the flesh sacks called a gas station where he could score the first batch of fuel for Octane’s tanks.

Wildrider revved his engines a few times. Everything was sounding good. He continued to scan his immediate surroundings. They sure had been dropped in the middle of nowhere. The terrain looked to consist of little more than grain crops of one type or another for as far as his sensors could scan. But apparently nestled within this vast sea of nothing were some high-yield human fuel deposits that could be modified to even sweeter tasting energon down the road. That was a plus.

Another plus was the fact that human fuel supplies tended to be highly crammed together and also exceedingly combustible. He’d noticed that much from the last time they were here. A simple spark from a scraping door could send an entire location up in flames. Wildrider admittedly got a little giddy at the prospect of seeing it happen, but he’d try to contain himself. No need to get on Motormaster’s bad side right off the bat. Besides, that was too easy. The Stunticon Terrorist wanted to build up a masterpiece of chaos and destruction before he decided to light the fuse.

He pulled up near Frenzy. Of all of Soundwave's little toys, he had seen some of what that one could do and it was always endlessly entertaining to him.

"Need a ride?" the Terrorist chuckled, his driver's side door flipping open.

After the bright light that accompanied their bounce had vanished; the whole of the Stunticon team appeared in their vehicle modes. Breakdown revved his engines just as Wildrider did, but he soon quieted down when he heard Motormaster cut in over his comm link. Raising havoc was the Stunticons’ specialty but now it seemed as though they were going to have to play it safe. Breakdown huffed in annoyance, but he never voiced his opinion for fear of being rend limb from limb by their Commander.

After Motormaster’s little speech Breakdown noticed both Frenzy and Rumble standing by waiting for a lift. Like the Pit I’m lettin’ one of those degenerates ride inside of me. The Lamborghini revved his engines once more and quickly took off after Drag Strip and activated his holographic driver.

Rumble and Frenzy materialized next to the Stunticons, a little bit dizzy at first but they quickly recovered. They half listened to Motormaster give orders, both more interested in looking around. They had been dying to get out of the base and Soundwave’s chest for awhile now and they were going to live it up. They both half heartedly activated their hologram cloaks. The two casseticons disappeared, replaced by two teenage boys, one with a Mohawk and the other with a shaved head. They sported tank tops, baggy shorts and visor style sunglasses.

They had been hoping to get a ride in Motormaster. He was the biggest and toughest one, so they probably wouldn’t get killed riding in him. It also meant that he would get them right into the thick of things. Unfortunately he didn’t waste in time and took off as soon as he could. He was followed by the other Stunticons peeling out behind him That left them with only the craziest of the Stunticons, Wildrider. Rumble and Frenzy were only slightly apprehensive, being somewhat crazy thrill junkies themselves. They quickly piled into the Stunticon.

“Slag yeah!” Frenzy yelled as he moved to get inside the open car. Rumble pushed him out of the way. “No me first!” He jumped in the waiting Stunticon. “Ya better make this worth if for us Wildrider. We don’t get out often so we wanna see plenty of destruction and mayhem.” “And be makin’ most of it!” Frenzy added as he jumped in.

The yellow Dodge Viper sped along the roadway that was clear as far as the optic could see. It greatly helped matters that it was so late in the nighttime hours as most of the flesh sacks were currently indoors sleeping. Drag Strip considered honking his horn repeatedly in order to wake up and annoy the disgusting filth that populated this mudball of a planet. Unfortunately, Motormaster’s orders were not to draw unwanted attention to himself, so the former racer refrained from having a little bit of mischievous fun that could very well attract the local law enforcement.

We wouldn’t want that now would we? Drag Strip thought as he drove through an intersection. Moments later, a pair of headlights appeared in his rearview mirror. At first he thought it was one of his fellow Stunticons as the vehicle in question was closing in on him fast. But, as it came up behind him, Drag did not recognize it as one of the new alt modes his comrades had chosen. It was a Ford Mustang, and the driver behind the wheel was no hologram.

Great, I’ve got a slaggin’ human on my tail, Drag Strip thought as the silver Mustang moved over into the other lane and rode up alongside him. Drag’s hologram driver looked over at the young flesh sack who was apparently trying to goad him into a street race. A street race? This squishy creature must think I’m Smokescreen. I’m a professional not some wretched...

“Come on! Let’s see what you’ve got!” The human yelled over to the yellow Stunticon, interrupting his train of thought.

Drag Strip’s hologram expressed no reaction at first as the former racer considered showing this human who was the real king of the highways. What could it hurt? Just as long as there’s no witnesses like ol’ Motorhead said. The fake driver then nodded in acceptance of the young fleshling’s challenge and before he knew it the Mustang had zoomed ahead, leaving the Dodge Viper in the dust.

Not for long, Drag Strip thought as he gunned his engines and raced off after the meat sack. It didn’t take but a few astroseconds to catch up to the inferior automobile, the likes of which permeated this planet. It was no match for the Stunticon’s advanced technology, after all. As a result, Drag easily overtook the Mustang, putting a considerable distance between himself and the filthy human who thought he could beat the great former Cybertronian Raceway champion.

Once Drag Strip had driven over a narrow bridge, he applied his breaks suddenly and allowed himself to spin around until he was facing in the opposite direction. The headlights of the silver Ford Mustang were now directly in front of him, growing brighter with each passing astrosecond. As the human vehicle started across the bridge at a high rate of speed, the Dodge Viper sped forward, tires screeching as he aimed to play a little game of robo-chicken.

No witnesses, Drag Strip thought as he came within inches of a collision before the Mustang swerved to avoid him and plunged off the side of the bridge and into the water below. Drag drove up to the edge and scanned the river beneath him as the human vehicle sank to the bottom. There were no signs of life anywhere and it would take a while before the authorities even knew there had been an accident here let alone what had caused it. By then, he and his Stunticon brethren would be long gone from this area.

Just then, another pair of headlights appeared, startling the yellow racer from his victory. Fortunately, this time it was only Breakdown, who had managed to catch up to him. “Hey, Breakdown, what’s shaking? You missed all the fun. I just drowned a meat sack. Don’t worry, though, there were no witnesses just as the boss-bot said.” Drag Strip chuckled as he backed away from the edge of the bridge and then drove across to the other side. It was there when Drag noticed that just down the street was one of the local gas stations the humans used to refill their vehicles. It was dark and appeared to be closed for the night by the looks of things. “Hey, follow me. I think I might have found some fuel.”

Not waiting for Breakdown to follow his lead, Drag Strip zoomed down the road until he had pulled into the Exxon station. He set his scanners to detect whatever fuel was left in the underground tanks beneath the asphalt. As luck would have it, one was halfway full while the other had about a quarter left to spare. “Jackpot!” The yellow Stunticon replied as he then opened a comm line to Octane:

>>”Hey, Oc! This is Drag Strip. I’ve located some fuel for your tanks! Just follow my signal and you’ll find me in no time.”<<

The white and blue Lamborghini sped off after Drag Strip as soon as the former racer took off down the highway and on toward a nearby town. He was able to keep up until he decided to slow his speed in case there was one of those annoying human authority figures in one of those vehicles with the lights. What did they call them? Police? Yeah, that was it.

Breakdown kept his scanners on high just in case he wouldn’t be able to spot a specific fuel source with his own eyes. Plus it gave him an odd sense of security in case there was actually someone, or something watching him.

A few minutes passed when Breakdown here the familiar sound of Drag Strip’s engine growing louder. The paranoid mech sped up and finally spotted the yellow racer facing the wrong direction. Breakdown let out an annoyed sigh when he heard Drag Strip call out to him.

“Did it gurgle and try to swim?”

Before he got his answer Drag Strip noticed a gas station just up the road. Breakdown followed suit and pulled alongside his Stunticon brethren in the Exxon lot.

“I don’t feel right, Drag. Got this weird feeling like someone’s watchin’, ya know?”

A lone Harley-Davidson rider sped towards north in the pitch black darkness of the night. Having passed Langley only moments ago, the road had finally been free to ignore those annoying speed limits that most definitely were made for lesser people than one Tyler Smiths. As far as he was concerned, he was above the law, a true bad ass. Yeah, it was only matter of time now before he was in the big leagues. Member of the big time biker clubs like Son of Silence or maybe even the notorious Bandidos.

Tyler's dreams about his future exploits were interrupted by back lights of yet another stupid trucker appearing in the horizon. The last truck he has passed by had been some kind of a f***ing psycho. The damned Kenworth T-600 tanker semi had clearly tried to push him off the road, only his experience with his bike had saved him as he had been pushed on the tarmac alongside the road. He really had showed the f***er later by making a high speed pass that the truck was not able to match. Hell, he had sent some bullet flying at big rig too, though he was uncertain whether he had hit. Nevertheless, the tanker had not given him anymore trouble.

This new truck he was catching up on he was going to humiliate even more so. Still seething from his endeavor with the tanker, Tyler accelerated his bike to speed of roughly 80 miler per hour and began his by pass. He quickly passed the gray three axle trailer and reached the truck cab. One of those new Navistar Internation LoneSTARs with sleeper cab - colored black with purple and chrome finishes. Not too bad for a big rig, Tyler thought as looked at the truck. He was even able to read a quote written on the cab... 'These wheels are made for crushing.' Oh c'mon, what kind of a nut job wrote something like that on his damn truck Tyler thought as his gaze turned from the rig to the speed-o-meter of his bike. The hell? He was going like 100 mph and the truck was at the exact same spot in comparison to him it had been ever since he had reached the cab. Both confused and angered by this, Tyler hit full throttle on his Harley. With his speed rising to 170 mph he was certain the truck would soon be a spot in a mirror. A quick look to right almost made his jaw drop. The rig was there and it was actually slowly but surely beginning to leave him behind.

That was not a normal truck. Even with speed limiter removed a big rig was not going to go that fast, it had to have a rigged engine or something. It didn't matter. No trucker made fun of Tyler f***ing smith. Pulling his desert eagle from his side, Tyler aimed his gun on the rig's rear tires and fired. Nothing, not a single tire had burst. In shock the biker fired several more bullet at the rig without no apparent damage. Then it was all too late for Tyler Smith as the rig suddenly steered on his lane and connected with his bike. An ominous ear shattering bellow about disrespecting the King of the Road followed but Tyler's brains barely registered it. The last thing he felt was flying across the air towards a tree face first.

>>"We hear you Drag. It was about time. We'll be there in a moment."<< Motormaster boomed in response to Drag Strip's communique instead of Octane who had been the real target of the racer's message. Blocking Octane's message was to expected for Motormaster gained sadistic pleasure for every chance he got to make the fueler feel he was nothing in comparison to the leader of the Stunticons.

Not much later Motormaster pulled over to the gas station Drag was waiting and positioned his massive bulk between the target fuel source and the station diner. Only minute or too later, a Kenworth T-600 tanker semi pulled next to the Stunticon commander. A tentacle like hose with a drill at its tip emerged from Octane's tank and sunk through the pavement into the fuel tank below.

>>"Drained, processed into energon and storaged. Still room for more energon."<< Octane informed the others after no more time spent than refueling of a truck cab would take.

>>"Then let's stop wasting time and move on."<< Motormaster growled in response and rolled back to the main road with Octane following closely behind. >>"Dead, Drag and Breakdown on the move! Find us a new target further along the way towards El Dorado! And it better not be alongside this particular road! Wildrider! Burn that hut of the meatsags into cinder after we have gained some distance on it. I'd hate to leave the fleshbags without a memento."<<

As for Tyler Smith the last image of the biker would likely be found in the news tomorrow, his mangled Harley in the background and his grotesque remains being covered by a sheet of cloth in the center of it all.

Wildrider had gunned his engines as soon as the Casseticons had climbed in to their seats, slamming the door, tires squealing as he took off down the highway through the vast, Oklahoma wildnerness and farmland.

Inside the vehicle, he adjusted his audio bandwidth to find some local hard rock station and cranked up the volume. Good driving music. Good anything music, as far as Wildrider was concerned. These fleshlings shattered even easier than an energon cube, but they had made some good strides in terms of their entertainment and culture. Wildrider could get used to the place for that reason alone.

For right now though, the plan was to cause a little chaos, without making it blatantly obvious what they were doing. Those mission parameters were probably going to be the hardest for Wildrider, but there was something about the looming presence of Motormaster that usually helped to keep his wilder tendencies in check. He indulged himself a little, pushing his speed well past the limits that the little meatsacks had posted on white signs alongside the road while Motormaster had his fun with some fleshie biker.

It was only when his internal systems picked up a basic human radar scanning system a few kilometers ahead that Wildrider finally started to slow down. He had hit the limit just as they approached the “Powerball: 124 million” sign where a local law enforcement officer had been subtly parked nearby. Wildrider was tempted, but he did nothing to warrant the meatbag official’s attention.

They didn’t have to drive very far out of the boundaries of the Spavinaw state park before the lights of a Conoco-Phillips station and an adjoining diner came clearly in to view. Not even a few hundred yards away saw a small fuel storage unit, surrounded by what appeared nothing more than a chain-link metal fence. Really?

“These fleshbags were so unprepared for the likes of us, I almost feel bad,” Wildrider chuckled as he pulled in to the gas station. A few local teenagers who were standing near the exterior entrance of the gas station inhaling some sort of smoke sticks took notice of the car. One of them punched another in the shoulder and pointed in the direction of the shiny, black Ferrari.

Octane had pulled in and taken care of business.

"Now that was a ride!"

When the message came through that he was going to be allowed to torch the place, the Stunticon terrorist could barely contain his abject glee.

"This orn just gets better and better."

Exxon Gas Station – Road 20/82

Drag Strip waited patiently near the gas pumps as Breakdown was the first to arrive. The nervous Stunticon asked if the meat sack had made any sounds as it drowned in the river. Drag chuckled at this notion before answering his comrade. “No, I heard no noise coming from the dying insect. He never made it out of his vehicle for me to hear anything audible. Unfortunately, I can only imagine the fleshling’s last fleeting moments before dying. Thankfully, I do have a pretty good imagination!” The former racing champion laughed harder now before hearing Breakdown’s follow up comment. “What doesn’t feel right? And who could be watching us, those meat bags at the diner over there? Who cares? What are they going to do to us? Stop worrying so much and enjoy yourself for once!”

Moments later, Motormaster responded to Drag Strip’s communiqué and soon afterward both he and Octane pulled into the station. The triplechanger wasted no time in sucking the fuel out of the underground tanks and converting it into energon within his own vast reservoir. The Stunticon Commander then issued further orders to locate a new target along their way towards El Dorado, but not along the same highway they were currently on.

“Come on, Breakdown! Your heard the boss,” Drag Strip said to the white Lamborghini as he pulled out of the gas station at the same time Wildrider had arrived to incinerate the location once the rest of them had left the area. The yellow Dodge Viper headed down 20/82 and soon turned off onto another back road, heading north towards the Oklahoma state border. His onboard sensors scanned the darkened street ahead, looking for both a new source of fuel and keeping a close optic out for any of the meat sack policing vehicles. The last thing he needed was to get pulled over and have to talk his way out of a traffic ticket. Then he’d likely have to talk his way out of another beating at the hands of Motormaster for drawing too much attention to himself. Of course, the human germs will have to catch me first! Drag thought as he sped away into the blackness ahead.

Municipal Airport - Near Oklahoma/Kansas Border

Two breems later, Drag Strip came across a small municipal airport that appeared to be closed down for the night. He pulled up to the fence that surrounded the field and widened the range of his scanners to cover the most ground possible. The yellow Stunticon soon located a number of fuel storage tanks at the far end of the runway. They were filled up to the brim with delicious gasoline. Drag quickly opened a comm line to Motormaster and Octane: >>”I’ve found a new fuel source at a local airport. The facility is closed down for the night so we'll be able to steal the fuel without attracting any attention. I’m sending you the coordinates now.”<<

Even though Drag Strip reassured him that there was no one or nothing watching them Breakdown still felt unnerved, but instead of lingering on it the paranoid Stunticon simply followed behind his yellow comrade. After all, he had no real ambition to become one of Motormaster’s visial aids on what not do to get on your boss’s bad side.

Municipal Airport – Near Oklahoma/Kansas Border

Breakdown had been hot on Drag Strip’s heels when the former racer spotted one of the fleshbags’ small municipal airports. The white and blue Lamborghini stopped in front of the fence surrounding the air field and kept a look out while Drag Strip scanned the area for a suitable fuel source.

Had it been possible in his current form, a sinister smile would have crept on Motormaster's face as Drag Strip's transmission reached its intended target. The obsessive racer was trying his best to perform on the level the Stunticon leader demanded. Which served as another example to solidify Motormaster's way of leadership. As his response to Drag Strip, the massive tractor trailer sent the yellow racer new orders while leading his convoy of Octane and unusually silent Dead End towards their new target. The message of course was short of any praise towards success from Drag Strip.

>>"About time. I was starting to doubt your ability. We will be there shortly. Proceed to search for temporary storage site for the energon Octane is hauling so we can move to our main objective."<<

Miami Municipal Airport, Oklahoma

Roughly ten minutes later Motormaster and Octane entered the airport grounds while Dead End stayed behind to serve as early warning system for possible human interruptions. Their lights were turned off as were the systems that allowed them to mimic the sounds of heavy-duty diesel engines. All in all the two trucks rolled through the airport as silently as two 22-wheelers without engine noises could. As they reached the fuel reservoirs, Octane repeated what he had earlier done at the Exxon station.

Having finished their operation on the municipal airport of Miami, Oklahoma - Motormaster made contact with his minions again. >>"Wildrider, Drag Strip - report."<<

>>”Roger that, Commander. I’m on it.”<< Drag Strip commed back to Motormaster before backing away from the airport’s fence just as Breakdown pulled up alongside him. The yellow Stunticon couldn’t agree more with his nerve-wracked comrade. All this driving around looking for fuel was boring. The only real action the former racer had seen was when he forced that human off the bridge several miles back and even that was only modestly gratifying. He would much prefer to face off against a real foe like the Protectobots again or even Smokescreen, who had humiliated him back at the drive-in theater. The only mech he wasn’t eager to face was the one called Hex, as those cerebral wounds were still pretty fresh in his cranial unit. However, if he did encounter that crazy ‘Bot again it would at least give him the chance to redeem himself in the optics of the other Stunticons who now had more reason to challenge his assertion that he was the best at everything.

“I hear ya, Breakdown,” Drag Strip answered the white Lamborghini. “Unfortunately, the boss wants us to now find a secure place to temporarily store the energon. Once we’ve done that, however, we can then move on to the refinery where the real fun begins. Follow me and keep an optic out for any flesh sack authorities.”

The yellow Dodge Viper sped away from the airport and back onto the road heading north again. He soon crossed the border into Kansas before then turning west onto Route 166.

Route 166, Kansas

Drag Strip zoomed down the long stretch of desolate highway in the southern region of the state, looking for any place that would be suitable for hiding the amount of energon Octane was hauling within his tanks. He wasn’t worried about his speed as his scanners were widened as far as they could go and would detect any signs of local law enforcement. No, Drag was more concerned with locating an adequate site that would prevent his commander from slagging the scrap out of him again. Unfortunately, this particular stretch of road had nothing more than open fields with a spattering of trees here and there. Nothing that could conceal energon.

>>”Breakdown, you see anything back there?”<< Drag Strip commed to his partner in crime who was somewhere behind him. He didn’t really expect the nervous mech to have an answer he was hoping for but perhaps the former racer had overlooked something as he sped down the road. It was highly unlikely, but still somewhat possible.

Just as he was about to give up hope, Drag Strip’s sensors detected something interesting located about a mile north of the main highway. He slowed his speed and focused his scanners into that general direction and quickly picked up the remains of a dirt roadway leading off towards the area in question. Without hesitation, the former racer turned down the unpaved street and headed for the dark hills in the distance.

Abandoned Coal Mine – North of Route 166

Less than a breem later, Drag Strip came upon the site of an abandoned coal mine that appeared to have not been used in many years. His scanners picked up no signs of human activity anywhere nearby and the mine, itself, was sealed up tight. The yellow racer moved towards the closed entrance, his headlights the only illumination in the vicinity. Drag’s sensors indicated that the tunnels beyond were still clear and stable, providing plenty of room for the energon Octane was carrying. All that needed to be done was to clear a pathway in.

A laser weapon then emerged from one of Drag Strip’s headlights before the yellow Stunticon fired a single blast directly at the sealed entranceway, shattering the wooden blockade into a thousand pieces. There was a sudden rush of air as the mine was opened for the first time in countless decades. The weapon retracted just as Motormaster’s demand for a status update came in over his comm line.

>>”Commander, I’ve found an abandoned mine about a mile off of Highway 166 in the southern region of Kansas. The tunnels are open and secure and should provide plenty of space to store the energon temporarily. The site is very isolated so there should be no threat of being discovered. I’m sending you the coordinates now.”<<

Once Drag Strip had located the airport and Motormaster arrived followed by Octane, the two Stunticons promptly vacated the area and set off looking for a secure location to store the fuel that Octane was carrying.

Drag Strip had sped off first leaving Breakdown behind watching the distance between them grow. The white and blue Lamborghini accelerated and quickly began to close in on his yellow teammate. Finally able to spot the former racer’s tail lights, Breakdown received his comm.

>>”Nah, there ain’t nothin’ here, Drag. Maybe we ought to back track and…”<<

Drag Strip suddenly turned down what looked like an old dirt road. Breakdown followed suit and quickly opened a comm link.

>>”Hey, Drag! Where the slag are ya goin’? We’re supposed to find a place to store the…”<<

He trailed off as he finally pulled up alongside the yellow Viper, suddenly realizing the mine that was in front of them was the perfect place to hide the fuel while they moved on to do what they do best.

>>”Niiiice! Now we can finally get to raising hell!”<<

Wildrider allowed his engine to idle for a few astroseconds while he went through an internal checklist of the weapons he had brought along with him. He found a projectile that he could launch directly through the glass of this store front, give it tiny countdown and then watch the ensuing inferno.

He was about to do it, and open his doors to let Soundwave’s little nutjobs have their own fun, when the law enforcement vehicle that he had passed on the highway earlier pulled in to the parking lot. The vehicle pulled in to the parking space right next to Wildrider and the officer got out. He looked at the black Ferrari for a second and then walked in to the convenience store.

Wildrider’s energy levels surged a little, but Motormaster’s orders were still ringing clear in his mind. Drawing law enforcement attention, especially killing one of the fleshy things, would bring way too much heat down on them too soon.

But it would just be so easy to just finish them all off right here.

Thankfully, Drag Strip’s communication regarding the abandoned mine came through and distracted the terrorist. Grumbling, he threw his advanced Cybertronian transmission in to reverse and pulled slowly out of the gas station parking lot. No fun here. Not just yet.

“These human law enforcement officers are a pain…and they’re all over. We're never gonna have any fun if we can't let loose.”

If only they knew what was in store for this planet.

An acknowledgement and roughly 30 minutes later, the convoy of Motormaster, Octane and Dead End entered the dirt road leading towards the abandoned mine Drag Strip had found earlier. If the almost constant whining from Dead End about the workmanship of the paved roads of the humans had been making Motormaster's neurons ache, the amount of whining seemed to increase exponentially after Dead End had learned of the location of the mine. While Motormaster had to admit that the highways of the humans weren't up to their standards, the real shock came when they entered the dirt road. The road was substandard, almost blocked by various plants and trees trying to conquer back their living space. With all the mud and erosion caused to the road by water over time, the two large trucks had had to slow their advancing considerably. Add to that, Wildrider apparently had decided to play deaf for he had not reported back to Motormaster when the Stunticon leader had demanded a report from him. Perhaps it was the distance giving the little slagger some courage to defy him. None the less, Wildrider would pay for this one way or another. At least he could take comfort in the groundwork for the road being made for heavy vehicles.

While neither Motormaster or Octane were comfortable on the dirt road, Dead End on the other hand had went from miserable to intolerable. With his chassis touching the dirt road several times, Motormaster had simply ordered the wretch to stay behind and alert them of anything suspicious. With several threats towards Dead End's well being if he contacted them for nothing of course. Luckily, the threats worked at least for now as the two trucks were allowed to continue the rest of their journey towards the mine opening in peace.

>>"You sure found a slaggin' dump."<< Motormaster snorted as he pulled next to Drag Strip and Breakdown. >>"Octane, get to work."<<

Octane, terrified not to obey, immediately did what commanded of him. The multifunctional hosearm of his slithered down into the mine and began spraying protective chemicals all over a chosen excavation that he had deemed large enough for him to fill the liquid energon he was carrying into. With the excavation coated with chemicals that prevented the liquid energon from escaping, Octane pumped all the energon from his tanks into the mine exluding a minor amount that would allow the assault team to enter the fray fully powered. >>"Ready."<<

>>"Finally."<< Motormaster grunted in response and activated his long range comm-link again so that Wildrider would receive his next orders as well. >>"We are ready to move to the main objective boys. The Frontier refinery is about 150 miles away from here. We go all nice and clean until we reach road 54. We get to 54 and we break the hell loose and roll straight for the refinery, got it?"<<

The question in the end of his transmission was a rhetoric one. He did expected the others to understand and obey without questioning. >>"Good. Now that we are on the same page, roll out!"<<

Drag Strip simply waited in front of the mine entrance once he had received Motormaster’s acknowledgement. His abusive leader and the rest of his comrades would arrive soon, but it was Breakdown that pulled up alongside him almost immediately. >>“Yes, raising some hell is exactly what I hope we do once this little task is finally taken care of.”<< Drag responded to his nervous companion. >>“Scouting around in the dark for fuel is necessary, I know, but is ultimately a boring chore. Like you, I’d much rather be tearing up the roads and blasting Autobots into scrap without any restrictions.”<<

The former racer’s words trailed off as he heard the loud rumbling of two semi trucks barreling down the dirt road behind his position. Within a few astroseconds, Motormaster and Octane appeared and pulled up close to the mine’s entrance. The Stunticon leader immediately chastised Drag Strip for finding a real dump to hide the energon in. His commander would never admit that Drag had done a good job, so the yellow Viper simply accepted what he got and sat idling until the triplechanger had finished pumping the energon down into one of the caverns deep inside the mine.

Drag Strip then listened carefully to Motormaster’s further orders and finally heard what he had hoped for. It was time to head for the refinery and get to causing havoc and destruction instead of all this infiltration slag. Drag gave no response to his leader, knowing that ol’ motorhead didn’t want one, but instead expected the Stunticons to do what they were told when they were told. That suited the faux Dodge Viper just fine as he wasn’t accustomed to handing out pleasantries to anyone but himself.

Engaging his engines, Drag Strip turned around and headed back down the dirt roadway towards Route 166. As he approached the paved street, he encountered Dead End who was waiting near the entrance. >>“Come on, doom and gloom! You heard the boss. Let’s get to that refinery!”<< The yellow racer maneuvered around his teammate and drove out onto 166. He remained at the posted speed limit for the time being, moving ahead nice and clean just as Motormaster had instructed. However, once he reached Road 54, Drag would push his engines into overdrive and speed towards that refinery like a shrike-bat out of hell.

Breakdown waited alongside Drag Strip while the former racer voiced his opinion on what he had just mentioned. It might have been his paranoid intuition, but Breakdown couldn’t help but notice Drag Strip’s almost deflated enthusiasm. It seemed that after the battle at the ‘Con base good ‘ol Drag wasn’t quite the same anymore. Breakdown was just about to mention what he’d noticed when the unmistakable sounds of big rig engines making their way up the dirt road. The white and blue mech decided to bite his tongue so as not to attract the wrath of their fearsome commander. Instead Breakdown simply rolled out of the way and watched as Octane pulled up to the mine and began to off load his burden.

Once Octane had completed his task it was Motormaster’s turn to bellow out a new set of orders. Breakdown listened intently, only once did his processor trail off, but his attention was soon drawn back with the mention of Road 54 and that once they hit that pavement the devastation could begin. With Motormaster’s orders given Breakdown quickly followed Drag Strip back down the dirt road, breezed past Dead End and continued on Route 166. He made sure that he was either at or slightly under the posted speed limit in order to not attract the attention of the local law enforcement.

Some miles down the road he noticed the sign for Road 54; Breakdown nearly let loose a hysterical giggle but caught himself quickly. Casually he made his way on to the desired roadway and took a few scans in order to locate a proper target. He found one in the form of a late model Honda Civic Coupe. Breakdown chuckled lowly as he accelerated and came up behind the vehicle. There were three male teenagers in the car; their music was turned up too loud and they were all engrossed in an intense yelling match in order to be heard over the din of beats. None of them even noticed the white and blue Lamborghini tailgating behind them.

The human automobile was black, or was it blue? Breakdown didn’t care as long as the inside of it was stained red when he got through with it. Not wanting to waste another moment the Stunticon sped forward and rammed the rear of the Honda. He let out a satisfied laugh when he saw the boys inside jerk around the cabin. Again he sped in to their rear and again he laughed, this time harder when he heard them scream.

Twice more and finally Breakdown had had enough of toying with them. He quickly accelerated and sped off past them. The boys, near hysterical with fright, breathed a sigh of relief when they finally saw Breakdown’s read lights disappear in to the night. Unfortunately, while the humans were thanking their god Breakdown had turned back around and was now barreling toward them head on.

The last thing the boys ever saw was the headlights of that crazy driver in the white and blue Lamborghini. Breakdown emerged from the twisted, smoking wreck completely unscathed and laughing wildly. Nothing was left of the Honda, nothing but wrenched metal and blood smears.

Once he settled down and he began to press on, Breakdown opened up a channel to Drag Strip.

>>”Hey, Drag. I just made some humans one with their ride!”<<

After a moment he remembered what he had noticed earlier and finally inquired about it.

>>”You know, Drag, I noticed that ever since the battle at the Base you been a out of it. That punk Autobrat knock a screw loose or are ya just goin’ soft on us?”<<

Drag Strip continued on silently down the roadway with Breakdown by his side until the two Stunticons reached Road 54. Once they had arrived and turned onto their new route, the nervous mech sped up and set his sights on a car full of teenage meatsacks. Drag hung back to allow his teammate room to have some fun, all the while scanning the area for his own target that he could maim and destroy.

It didn't take long for Breakdown to crash head on into the human vehicle and effectively demolish it into a thousand pieces of wreckage and spare parts. However, the white Lamborghini had missed something rather important during his destructive endeavor. The young flesh bag in the front passenger seat had managed to jump out of the vehicle just before impact and was currently lying injured on the side of the road. Drag Strip's sensors indicated that the human was already badly hurt with multiple broken bones and contusions that he had suffered from leaping out of the car. >>”Yeah, you did make them part of their ride! Too bad you missed one!”<<

The former racer then took aim for the crying, injured boy and increased his speed dramatically as he approached. Such fragile insects, Drag Strip thought as he maneuvered onto the shoulder of the highway. Astroseconds later, the yellow Viper ran over the only survivor of the Honda Civic with all four of his Stunticon enhanced tires, crushing the human into a bloody pulp like the tiny bug that he was.

Satisfied with his own bit of carnage, Drag Strip pulled alongside Breakdown, who had just questioned whether he was going soft or not. >>”Still think I'm soft after that?”<< The former racer openly scoffed at the very idea while hiding the fear he still felt deep down inside his core. >>“Let me tell you something, Breaker. That little punk, Hex, got lucky, that's all. When I see him again I'll make him pay for what he did to me back at the base. Next time, it'll be his chest cavity ripped open by yours truly. That's for certain! Now, quit your worrying and let's get to that refinery!”<<

Drag Strip hoped that he had laid the issue to rest. He didn't realize just how much his outward mannerisms had revealed to his comrade that something was a bit off with him. He only hoped that no one else had noticed. Of course, Drag couldn't deny it to himself that he wasn't exactly the same as before, but he was still a Decepticon warrior. He needed to get past his inner demons and continue acting like the mayhem-loving Stunticon that he was. Otherwise, it wouldn't just be Breakdown that noticed the change in him, but Motomaster, as well. Then the yellow mech would really have something to be afraid of.

Once Wildrider had got back on the highway, he heard some static-y chatter coming through, but it was hardly the clearest reception. They really had found themselves in the literal middle of nowhere. On top of that, having to play it smooth around the human law enforcement officer wasn't exactly the Stunticon's style. He would've much preferred to leave him as a red stain on the pavement.

>>"We are ready to move to the main objective boys. The Frontier refinery is about 150 miles away from here. We go all nice and clean until we reach road 54. We get to 54 and we break the hell loose and roll straight for the refinery, got it?"<< the garbled playback eventually came through on the Stunticon's audio systems.

What a dump of a planet. Couldn't even get good, long-distance audio reception way the hell out here. It was worse than racing in Stanix back in the old days.

>>"Nice and clean. Got it. I almost turned one of their convenience stations in to a raging inferno,"<< Wildrider commed back, certain that Motormaster would be pleased with the restraint that he had shown. He kicked his speed up so as to catch up with the others. Highway 54 wasn't far off from his current position.

From his rear-view, Wildrider detected headlights. It couldn't be one of the other Stunts, as they had all gone on ahead. Hopefully it wasn't...

Red and blue flashing lights.

And the car was gaining on him fast now.

"Aw! What the slag is this? I wasn't even speeding! Much. Who drives 55 miles an hour on an open road?! A Protectobot?"

If Dead End considered their last mission to be a fiasco, then their current one, already revealing hints of negligence, was certain to produce the same result. And why shouldn't it? With mechs incapable of learning from their previous mistakes—virtually every single Stunticon within the team—the Autobots would make an appearance in record time, preventing their plans from reaching completion. That, or Motormaster would finally succumb to his fury and prematurely erase the existences of Dead End and his team-mates.

He couldn't help but ponder if the former lead to the latter. After a few moments he supposed everything lead to the latter. Including his dawdling if he did not progress with the necessary speed to the Frontier refinery. Having procured enough filth on his chassis to render him indistinguishable from the dirt road on which he was travelling, large cracks and dents were the last things he desired to have materialise on his form.

From 166 Dead End quickly reached Road 54. Whatever comfort Road 54 was to provide him with due to its absence of dirt and mud dispersed in an instant. Up ahead were Breakdown and Drag Strip, the first Stunticons to greet the asphalt with their presence and destruction was evident in their wake. Well, that didn't take long.

And here he was, under the presumption that Wildrider would have been the one to inaugurate the first scene of devastation on Road 54. Even Dead End wasn't immune to the mild shock the surprise induced.

He maintained a certain amount of distance between himself and the two Stunticons as to let them continue their spree of destruction. He wanted nothing to do with it, mainly because the possibility of being ensnared and damaged in one of their reckless attacks felt all too real to Dead End. Not to mention humiliating.

He opened a comm-channel to both Breakdown and Drag Strip. And although his tone was deficient in concern, he asked anyway. >>”Where is Wildrider? I would have thought he'd already be with us.”<<

If Wildrider wasn't with them causing mischief, then he must have been elsewhere causing it. Particularly if those little scoundrels Rumble and Frenzy had any say in the matter.

Motormaster's reply back to Wildrider was anything but jovial as he finally heard back from the Stunticon terrorist. >>"Loud and clear Wildrider?! You slaggin' frag for brains can't even tune your damned communicator right! You are more garbled than Breakdown during one of his seizures! But that's no excuse for not reporting back earlier! Forget protocols! I need you with the rest of team before we reach the Frontier refinery, we are not going to be caught scattered this time!""<<

Had the Stunticon leader not been already annoyed, Wildrider's tardiness had truly made his mood foul. Which of course did not do any good for those unfortunate drivers heading to work early in the morning. The massive black and grey International LoneSTAR was practically ploughing his way through the traffic. Those who did not react fast enough to get out of the way of a speeding 50 ton semi appearing in their rear mirrors were ruthlessly pushed off the road or ran over. It did not matter whether the vehicles getting on Motormaster's way were passenger cars or big rigs, they were all brutally smashed off the road. How many human lives were lost or permanently changed due to Motormaster's rampage did not faze him the slighest. Rather, he was enjoying the devastation and suffering he was causing.

Still it was not enough. He wanted to see the expressions of his victims - not just glimpses of shock on the faces of the humans reflected from mirrors when they realized that the truck behind them was going to smash into them. No, he needed an opportunity to get down and dirty. He needed to pull an Autobot apart with his bare hands and the likelyhood of such an encounter was definately going to rise through the wanton destruction he and his team was causing on the road 54 to El Dorado.

Rumble and Frenzy had been mostly content to enjoy the ride as Wildrider created a bit of chaos around them. The fact that the Stunticon had tuned his radio to a particularly loud heavy metal station had also helped to keep them happy. When not watching the carnage around them the two cassettes were busy headbanging to the music. Unfortunately they got bored easily and with the lack of chaos and violence they began to get antsy.

The flashing lights of the police car behind them quickly drew their attention. “Hey Wildrider, roll down the windows or open the doors or somethin’! We’ll take care of these humans and their blinkin’ lights!” Rumble drew one of his lasers, Frenzy quickly doing the same.

Drag Strip’s attention was drawn behind him where Dead End had inquired about the location of Wildrider. >>”Who cares? If he wants to miss all the fun then that’s on him. Leaves more for the rest of us to destroy!”<< The former racer cut his comm line as he sped past Breakdown, leaving both the nervous mech and the crimson pessimist in his dust. Only Motormaster was ahead of him now, plowing through the increasing number of cars on the highway. However, Drag kept his distance in order to stay out of his belligerent commander’s way. The last thing he needed was to anger the Stunticon leader. One beating per cycle was more than enough.

Instead, Drag Strip hung back about a half mile, setting his sights on the wrecked vehicles that Motormaster had left in his wake. In some cases, the human occupants had somehow managed to survive the initial assault and were attempting to free themselves from their burning and damaged cars. Other flesh sacks, not directly involved in the mayhem, came running out onto the roadway to help the ones who were trapped and injured. It was rather pathetic to see these stupid creatures attempt to give aid to those that were doomed from the start. Their would-be heroism only succeeded in serving them up as more lambs to the slaughter.

Drag Strip cackled as he aimed for the first group of humans that were helping an old lady out of her smashed station wagon. The yellow Dodge Viper made sure that no escape would be possible for either the victim or the three potential rescuers, gunning his engines to the fullest extent as he accelerated directly at the fleshlings. He slammed straight into the rescuers first, sending their broken bodies flying in all directions before then running the elderly woman over, the sound of her brittle bones breaking under Drag’s tires. He then plowed through the station wagon, propelling it into another group of terrified people standing in the roadway.

The former racer was feeling more and more like his old self now, much like he had been before the encounter with Hex. He would be damned if he let some pip squeak of an Autobot keep him from doing what he loved most. All of this carnage made his circuits feel alive again and this time he wasn’t going to get into trouble for causing too much damage since that’s exactly what they were supposed to do.

Drag Strip then refocused his attention on the highway in front of him as he now aimed for an ambulance that had stopped a few yards from a crushed van. The paramedics inside were about to get out when the yellow racer slammed into the driver’s side door, pushing the ambulance sideways before smashing it into a nearby pick-up truck. The violent collision caused a spark somewhere that, in turn, ignited the fuel within the truck’s gas tank. The Dodge Viper pulled back and sped away just as an explosion consumed the two vehicles. Drag could see the flames engulf the paramedics as their screams filled his audio receptors like a symphony of suffering.

Soundwave couldn’t provide a better soundtrack to destroy by, Drag Strip thought as he continued onwards towards El Dorado and the chance at a possible rematch with the young Autobot that had humiliated him in front of his team. Drag had always presented himself as being the best at everything. Unfortunately, Hex succeeded in proving that wasn’t always the case. While the memory of having his chest plate ripped open was still very fresh in the yellow Stunticon’s processor, the increasing anger and rage that he also felt was slowly beginning to overcome whatever lingering fear there might be left. Drag needed to prove he was still the best and if that meant facing Hex once more then so be it.

Breakdown opened a link back to Dead End. The morose Stunticon seemed overly concerned about Wildrider. >>”You got feelin’s for ‘ol 'Rider? Cus ya know, if the big guy finds out yer pinning for him he’s liable to rip ya a new aft-hole!”<<

Breakdown closed his link and let out a hearty laugh that could be heard even as he plowed through the carnage Motormaster and now Drag Strip were leaving in their wake. The paranoid mech hadn’t even noticed Drag’s advance past him. Breakdown let out an audible growl as he accelerated to catch up.

On the way he passed by the wreckages of humans that had the misfortune of coming across the first two Stunticons. Wanting to create some mayhem of his own, Breakdown sped up and finally moved past Drag and spotted a pair of black and whites headed down the opposite side of the roadway obviously headed to aid the humans that become the victims of Motormaster and Drag Strip.
Time to take out the po po. Breakdown swerved into the oncoming traffic and accelerated. The two police vehicles separated at the last moment letting Breakdown drive between them. The Lamborghini braked hard and quickly used his momentum to turn around and speed after the two police vehicles.

It didn’t take long for him to catch up with them. Breakdown quickly set to work and rammed into the rear end of the first car causing it to fishtail. The officer behind the wheel failed to keep his vehicle under control and eventually hit the car next to him. The result was one overturned police car and one wrapped around light-pole.

Breakdown had stopped his advance and watched as both cars wrecked. The Lamborghini sat idling, lights off, waiting for the officers to emerge. Finally both driver side doors opened and the battered humans staggered on to the road. They looked around for the car that ran them off the road, but found nothing. Just as they began to search for a functional radio a pair of lights illuminated them and the wreckages they had escaped. The roar of the highly tuned precision engine of the Cybertronian was the last thing either one of them heard before they were ran in to. Human fluids streaked his white paint, bone fragments, flesh and brain matter splattered across his windshield.

Breakdown let out an audible laugh as he quickly turned back around and made his way back toward Drag Strip and Motormaster. He opened a link with Motormaster. >>”I took care of those black and whites, boss, but I could use a wash. Ha ha ha!”<<
