PC Darksiders 2 - serious problems?
Posted: Wed Nov 21, 2012 2:48 pmOk i got gifted Darksiders 2 by my friend yesterday and i really liked Darksiders 1. It was a suprise because i was expecting it to be a crappy copy of DMC series but the story was great and the characters were good and the levels were good etc etc
So i was excited when i got Darksiders 2 as i have been after it awhile but have been waiting till all the DLC or most of it had come out
HOWEVER.....now ive found out that the pc version has alot of problems?? Apparently THQ did a seriously piss poor job on porting it to the PC and some reviews etc say that the game has loads of crashes and needs fixes which thq dont seem to be doing. I already read that 1 of the games worst features is that it drains alot of your pc power. The game itself is ment to run (on console) on a duo core processor, However if you have a 6 core like what i have then it apparently tries to use all that power even tho it doesnt need to? Ive also read that it likes to overheat alot of graphics cards for no real reason considering Darksiders1 and Darksiders2 use essentially the same graphics engine yet DS2 seems to use more of your graphics card power overheating them in the process.
I was reading on the reviews off steam that 1 review said he had a GTX580 and yet the game was still overheating his graphics card when it didnt need to. This has me worried because i have a GTX460 and i use my pc souly for gaming and so far i think the worst game ive had for my graphics card heat wise was Bad Company 2
Im downloading the game as we speak but does anyone else here have this game on the PC and know about these problems the pc version has or what these so called FIXES are?
