Black Arachnia is a character from the Beeast Wars era. If some 3rd party decided to make the Predacons or Terrorcons into "neo" vechicles, the fandom would send them to hell. So why have Black Arachnia as a bike ??? It's just dumb. I expect dumb from Hasbro (Cheetor and Quickstrike as cars, Air Razor as a jet) But from a 3rd party company I dont expect lame neo re-tools.

I think the logic is, Arcee has been released as a bike, and in Transformers Animated Arcee became Black Arachnia (even though Arcee wasn't a bike in that continuity), so it makes sense for her to be a repurposing of the mold.

On that note, while not a Black Arachnia fan (I found this because I'm a bike-bot addict), this is just too amazing looking. Really really cool stuff. This, in my opinion, is what re-tools of existing molds SHOULD be.

the alt-mode is very Giger-esque which makes me want it more, but also scared to invite it into my home.

I for one think this looks excellent i have animated BA and primes was gash(i sadly have) and i almost just pulled the trigger on PE arcee but to me this is far Superior to any of them for a neo BA .

Edit. But i'm hoping the 30 Anarversary will bring an Arcee.

You are correct. Black Arachnia in the Transformers Animated series was formerly Elita One.

Since Elita One has been repainted from Arcee (Energon and the Movies, IIRC) it makes sense to have this from PE. I would be all over this as I love the look. Alas, I already have PE pink Arcee and I am very happy to have her as Neo G1.

At least until Hasbro releases her next year. I'm just assuming here. I hope she's a convertible and not a bike...

I'm hoping the Kreon and her appearance on Metroplex's window herald a proper "return" same as little things like this a year back mean we've got a brand new triple changer Springer.

Beast Machines BA is my stand in for the character. She's not bad, but I did like the reviews of the first Motobots so am very tempted by this one. Want to see final colours before making a decision though.

You're right. Though Arcee got a spider-form in the Transformers Universe comics... can I use that as an excuse for my mistake?
