Wow! Was not expecting this when I first heard of this item. Sadly, I have no place for it, having gone with Headrobots version, but now I'm regretting that purchase.

Nice going, PE.

I think their take on Overlord is better than Botcon's. And it's nice to see a set for GDO Megs. I see where they were going with Bludgeon's. Headrobots came first and made a great G1 true head. So these guys went another route and offer up a different take on the skull samurai head. Not a bad idea, but one that doesn't reasonate with me.

That Overlord really needs some panels to cover up the skeletal limbs and a chest plate, which can be removed and combined to make a jet. I'd buy that upgrade in a heartbeat. The Botcon head is good enough. I'd definately buy the Overlord rifle if it was made available, though.

I may get the G2 Megs update, but the others aren't much interest to me. An unexpected surprise that's for sure.

I'd love a big freakin' gun for GDO Megatron (or maybe even Banzaitron while waiting for the HR upgrade). The Overlord head is pretty badass, too!

looking good, overlord in particular, but I've no need for these. the Headrobots Bludgeon kit is fine for me, and other the repaints, the Botcon one was the only one that even half interested me.

I can see what they were going for with Overlord's nogin', but I must say the expression doesn't help it at all. I can't even tell what they were thinking with Bludgeon, as I can't see his face at all. Otherwise I'm just overall not feeling it. The Sword handle just looks awkwardly big and the BFG is just... there. If it looked like a fusion cannon I might have considered it, but even so it just looks tacked on.

I see a Roman Gladiator helmet with feathers sticking out of it, an annoying battle damaged eye, and a huge shoulder cannon thats sure to make him fall off the shelf and take a few cons with him. ;)

If you took this kind of approach for all your "I don't like it!" posts, you'd have far less people looking at you like a spoiled brat. ;)

This is why I don't normally see him over at TFW2005... He usually gets his ass handed back to him... :lol:

I'm actually really interested in the bludgeon update kit. While I have the headrobots one, it doesn't work for me. The cannon part doesn't stay on the katana in tank mode, and I'm not a big fan of the heads provided, as they don't work with the general aesthetics of the robot mode. While I don't really care for the BFG, I do like the way the katana is handled, and what I can see from the head is pretty awesome. Now, will it be able to transform without partsforming its head ? I'm not sure, as it's perfect effect.

So let me see if I understand your logic...

* I flat out dont like the set
* I dont want to spend the money I earned all by myself on something I dont like
* I explain in my second post what I dont like about the set for those who require a reason

If those are the factors you use to define a "spoiled brat" then Ill be one all day. But does that mean you are playing the "mother" role on here ? "X if you dont have anything nice to say, keep your comments to yourself" !!!

Hey if you want your Bludgon to look like it came out of the movie Troy, go buy it. Just dont let your feelings get hurt if people laugh ast your purchase. Not trying to be rude, just being 100% percent real.

sometimes people don't need to try and do something, they just seem to have a natural talent for it

Actually, I think it's pretty redundant to discuss the same topic on two seprate sites. I actually know people from this site in person. So this is my primary site. I like TFW2005, just not as much as Seibertron. Occasionly, Ill copy and paste my comments from here on TFW2005, but the boards fill up with comments so much quicker and it's hard to keep track of replys. One this is certain, you will know when Im around because I only go by one screen-name anywhere I go. Sorry, no Punch/Counterpunch complex for X. I can count the number of guys who use the same screen name on both sites on one hand.

there's a difference between being real and being polite. You could have said it in another way than "I wanna puke", maybe ? Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it's bad, and you always make it sound like this. now this figure is from the movie-verse so obviously a very detailed head will look better than a smooth and not-very-detailed head. Maybe if you respected other member's instead of "I'm right, you're wrong" or even "this doesn't look enough like the G1 I adore so it's logically bad" maybe we wouldn't react like this at your posts. Whew, I'm done.

X, the fact of the matter is you get into more scraps here on the forums than a drunk hobo with alzheimers. You love to argue, you love to claim it's an 'opinion' and most, if not all your comments when judging something you don't care for are so childish they borderline the likeness of a spoiled adolescent.

You don't like something so you puke at it...? -That's- an 'opinion'? Are you really -that- oblivious that you're unable to see how you come off sometimes? I'm not asking you to be a nun, but you really give the term 'Adult Collectors' and those of us who share that title a bad name. Take from my words what you will and respond however you deem fitting, but if you take anything from my post let it be this; the attitude you consistently display portrays you as a sour, sad, and very unlikable individual whom people find very difficult to appreciate, much less relate to.

If you're comfortable with that then feel free to carry on with the pretense that 'I don't care, this is my opinion and this is the internet!' jargon, but I think you'd have a much more enjoyable experience on these forums as a collector if you learned to conduct yourself with a little more maturity and finesse.

You have a fair point, but it just shows how personal people take comments on here. It seems that if someone disses a certain figure that they like, they feel they are getting dissed to. Having a sense of humor shouldnt be taken personal. Imagine how boring this website would be if everyone just posted the same generic comments like:

* meh

* shut up and take my money

* easy pass

* pre-ordered on the spot

* blah blah blah (aesthethics comment)

Sometimes I read the thread and it's like "meh" so I add a little humor to break up the boring chain. A little humor goes along way. I remember the Hockey Jersey thread a couple weeks ago. Now that was a blast ! ;)

You forgot "^this". :BANG_HEAD: :BANG_HEAD: :BANG_HEAD: If only that type of post would count AGAINST someone's total posts.

So, back to these sets. I don't mind them, I actually like the big gun and think it would be a great addition to one of these figures (looking at you, GDO Megatron). Surprised that a new headsculpt isn't listed for GDO, when the Bludgeon and Overlord sets have one included. Speaking of which, that OL head looks great but would feel out of place with the rest of my figures. It's not like I've got a battle-damaged display sitting around here, but might look good to pose with Mech Idea's Geminus and variant head.

So, while I like these offerings, I already have the HeadRobots sets. And I'm hoping MaidenJapan will start taking orders for the Bludgeon armor kits again, I want one! Where does PE fit into all of this? Guess it depends on price and what else is coming out that month. These aren't "must haves" for me.
