New image posted on PerfectEffect's Blog indicate a remold/repaint of Scout Force X to homage the Reflector Toy instead of the Cartoon Reflector. Looks interesting but am I interpretting this right that it's going to be either a store or convention exclusive?

Also there's another drawing of their next PE Bike-bot.

Please can you repost the pictures as the image is not working.
It is probably my work network blocking it as coming from an 'online community' or 'game' site!!

hmmm... it is more than a repaint because the chests look different. It looks pretty nice. I picked night ops because I thought that it was a good balance between the toy and cartoon, but this looks nice too.

Not a bad offering for fans of his G1 toy.

How about a re-size instead of a repaint ??? Scout size please...

We haven't heard much from Perfect Effect in some time and then when we do it's a repaint.

I'd get the Black Arachnia Motobot, but please say they're still planning on doing a Soundwave homage.

That is a really nice remold for this toy, and it looks sweet. I think I still prefer the original version of it, as I like them looking a bit closer to their 'toon apearance and they still have a nod to the toy version with the colored bands on the arms of each figure... But those who wanted something closer to the original toy will be quite happy.

Objectively, this version is probably better... After all, each robot is now unique, where as the original version had two practically identical robots and a third that was only different because of the shutter chest. I like them like that because that was how they were in the show. But people without the nostalgic atachment to the show should find this version to be a more satisfying toy overall.

I wish my blue Arcee didn't have a backwards leg. She can't transform into bike mode because the post that is supposed to be on the back of her legs is on the front of one of them, making conversion impossible. It's inside of the diecast leg part too, so there'll be no fixing it (no screws that I can see, so I'm guessing it's machine-pressed).

I'm OK with that I guess since I want to display her in bot mode, but it would have been nice to have seen it in bike mode at least once.

As for these guys, they do look pretty cool, but I'll be skipping them. I have the original version and it's really not impressive, to me anyway. Way too pricey for something so small and simple, though the accessories are really neat and fun. I've considered getting the oversized KO version to paint, but haven't gotten around to it, and now that TFC has thrown their hat into the ring, that's what I'm going with.


I wish they'd post an update on the teaser of IDW Cybertronian Lio Convoy and Big Convoy they showed a while back. Nothing has been said or posted about that since the teaser last year and I'm nervous that they may have ditched the project altogether since the teaser said 2012 and it's already about to be September. Would have expected some type of new teasers or info by now if they still planned on releasing them some time this year.

It'd be silly for them to ditch those ones, (and Magmatron too please?) since we're pretty unlikely to get them from Hasbro, and no other third party has even hinted at anything similar. I hope we do see them eventually. That Lio is immense!

This repaint is ok, but I'd rather the original colours, and even then, I think they're too small.

I'd have to see the robot mode before being too excited for that, but it's definitely a decent idea. In fact, since the first one got Prime and G1 colours, maybe they will make this in Blackarachnia and Tarantulus colours? (suppose BA would be mostly gold and black with some purple, and Taran would be purple and black with green...and a new head) Of course...then I'd want to get two of them!

It's a very nice price, better than what the original set went for I think.

Nice touch adding the mini camera but I don't think it's enough to make me drop the cash on this set again.

The mini camera might make a nice release all on it's own, for those of us who already have the toy.

Although, I gotta say ... it's way, WAY too large for either figure.

I still do.
However... this is toy accurate, plus it's somewhat cheaper costwise. I'm sorely tempted. It's hard not to press the button...

I wonder if this version will have all of the accessories of the original... It has the same features with the accessories, but does it have all the accessories? I mean, it's cheaper, comes with a camera accessory and remolded chests. I'd imagine something's gotta give...unless they're taking the hit willingly.

These bastards...I bought the first version already.......well maybe I can sell this one I got and get the G1 color accurate. Love the mini camera that comes with it...
