Pirates 3 Trailer Coming March 19!

Recently, we questioned whether there was any trouble brewing over at Disney regarding the status of Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End. Here we are two months before the film is set to debut and, so far, we've seen nada -- no website, no teaser, no trailer and no satisfying set pics. Well, folks over at the Mouse House were keeping mum for a reason -- as usual, they were planning something big. First up, Disney will premiere the Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End trailer during a special nationwide "Pirates Ultimate Fan Event" on Sunday, March 18. In addition to the trailer preview, there will be a screening of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, as well as Pirate-themed prizes and a bunch of other goodies. The event will be held in each market at a select theater and fans can find out more by logging on to Disney.com/piratesfanevent.

Oh, but that's not all. For those of you who cannot make it out to the event, Disney will premiere the Pirates 3 trailer on ABC the following day, March 19, during the premiere episode of Dancing with the Stars (between 8-10PM). Immediately following the show, you can watch the trailer online at Yahoo.com, Disney.com and a number of other premium online destinations.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End hits theaters on May 25.

Its about time

I hope it's a good one. I didn't like Dead Man's Chest as much as the first one.

Let's hope it isn't like Dead Man's Chest. That movie was a crapfest and stole an hour or two of my life.

The second film was a lot of set up stuff to set the stage for the third. So I definitely look forward to number three.

It was soooo boring that I had to get up and come back to it. They crammed all of the comedy in the first quarter and left the story bare throughout the rest. The first movie spread out the comedy and the story was better. Dead Man's Chest was really lackluster compared to Curse of the Black Pearl.

Dead Man's Chest kinda sucked because it was just one big set up for the third movie.

This series might end up like the Matrix, first movie was good but the sequels were exponentially worse. :?

Most of the charm from Dead Man's Chest came from it's references to Curse of the Black Pearl. It was still an awesome movie.

There's a lot of stuff about it over at Wikipedia.

Chow Yun-Fat is cool.

While I did enjoy Dead Man's Chest, it did seem less light hearted/more serious than Curse of the Black Pearl.

And I think that's was one of the great charms about Curse of the Black Pearl, it was light hearted, fun, serious when necessary. DMC however opted for more seriousness and less light heartedness.

Still both entertaining movies, and one of Johnny Depp's best roles. So bring on End of the World!
