Nightwatcher wrote:My bro paid for me to go see it yesterday. I liked it. A lot. I thought it was the best of the three. It was a much more serious and dark movie which I loved. Humor was kept to a minimum. I'd put it as 3>1>2. The biggest thing that bugged me was the sound. The quality was fine but I had trouble understanding what a few of them were saying like Calypso. That and the redubbing in a few parts was off. The voice didn't synch well with the lips. Bugged the **** out of me.
Nightwatcher wrote:From what I could tell, the sound was fine. I just have trouble hearing what they're saying when they mumble some of the words. And I know the dubbing was off in some parts because it would go from being perfect synch to having one word or two off and then back to perfect. Seemed like it was only Liz though.

Well worth the price of admission for me.

Predaprince wrote:Just got back. I agree that the beginning scenes and some in the middle could have been omitted and wouldn't have changed the story and wouldn't be bringing the movie down. All in all, I, personally, would say that this movie is a close second to DMC. Both DMC and AWE are alot better than CotBP, but I liked DMC because of it being the intro and, hence, had so much attention on Davy Jones and his crew. I also agree that there were times when I had trouble understanding a few lines, especially when Calypso was a giant; speaking of which, I do agree that there should have been more power to her true form rather than just a maelstrom. I loved multiple Jacks as they were the funniest parts of the movie imo.
On a scale of 1 to 10:
CotBP = 6
DMC = 9.5
AWE = 9

Why do you rate the original so low? Its considered the best in the series by many.

I am not many. I am myself and what I wrote and the way I rated was purely my personal opinion.

Sonray~ DUDE that's about $20 Canadian... I think. I'm doing this off the top of my head. Even IMAX isn't that expensive here!
Its England my friend. The US dollar isnt worth crap here these days. Plus everythings more expensive here usually anyway. Any english guy will tell ya that.

Ok, but that didnt answer my question. Why do you rate the original film so low?
