I also bought Caelus without playing the game, but I get what T is saying.

It is often smarter to strike while the iron is hot and rope in fans of the source material while it is still fresh in people's minds.

But in the case of dinobots, I think there are enough people hungry for classics scaled dinos that any such loss would be negligible.

Still wish they would put out the next one already though! :D

I think they will be. G1 MP Dinobots are nice, and the Movie Dinobots are a good side-collection, but collectors have never had the opportunity to get all 5 G1 Dinobots in the Classics scale. These represent the first set of them.

Sure they're not as G1 as some people would like, but they're pretty damned good for a lot of people.

My issue with these things is that they are not classics scale. Theyre all different sizes. And they suffer from the "me grimlock leaser so me grimlock is biggest" concept. I always hated that since the animated attempt which is no also present in the AOE line. The dinobots are not a combiner so they dont need a huge leader. The fact that they were all the same size was what made them cool in G1. FOC and hasbro killed that.

If Hasbro USA, Releases the Five AOE Generations Dinobots toys in G-1 Decos. Then these will be classics themed and scaled toys some fans seek. Having Slog and Grimlock using the voyager toys while the others used the deluxe toys would be the small classics scale some fans seek.

If this happens this will take away sales from those Planet X FOC Dinobots toys. Why pay over $330 for 3rd party set of Five G-1 Dinobots tiny scaled Classics toys. When there's the option to pay $75 for the Hasbro USA G-1 deco versions.

Many fans welcome this and have no issues with this. Hasbro and some fans realize it makes sense to have Dinobots toys in different sizes. Because Dinosaurs were all different sizes in real life.

:HEADHURTS: :BANG_HEAD: Classics is a bad example, As HasTak has done a poor job creating accurately scaled character toys next to each other in this line.    These TFA, PX FOC and AOE wronly scaled Dinobots toys should fit in perfectly with your wrongly scaled classics toys.

So why is Grimlock always the biggest just because he is the leader ? I think it's stupid. Im not a science geek so I don’t like scientifically correct Dinosaurs. I like big dumb G1 dinos that drag their tails and are all the same size in robot mode for cartoon accuracy. Say what you want, but that’s my preference.

I'm down with the FOC dinos, but I bought the TFC Dino combiner to customize just incase Planet X can't come through.

I think my ideal 3rd party dinos would be made by Toyworld in a g1 style, and all be the size of Orion or Hegemon, but that most likely won't happen so these will certainly suffice....

Planet X sludge will be same height of Grimmy so that will be cool at least...

Spotted this and thought it best here unless someone feels it needs its own thread!

KO Planet X PX-02 Caelus

This KO appears to be slightly oversized/upscaled going by the size comparison with TF Prime Frenzy with a few modifications here and there.
