I think it's a combination of things. I feel the shoulders are a bit wide, torso is very short & the Grimlock one has a long neck. I think the longer necks make the head look bigger. These guys are all very squat figures. They remind me of the dwarves from LotR, haha. It works for the monster pretenders, not the humanoid ones.
