Shockwave's Tower - Command Center
"Frail and disorganized," came a cool, almost purring voice from a dark corner of the Command Center. Out from the shadows, as if materializing from nothingness, came Ravage. The feline-like humanoid Decepticon flexed the long, vicious-looking claws on his hands and let out a low growl after answering Cyclonus' question for Quantum.
"Hail, Air Commandant Cyclonus," he formally greeted the towering purple mechanoid. Though Cyclonus was many times Ravage's height and dozens of times his mass, the Casseticon seemed not the least bit unnerved in his presence, nor in Quantum's. Ravage lifted one clawed hand to his chestplate in salute, his red optics glowing slightly. "Commander Soundwave sends his regards. As does Emperor Megatron."
Ravage's head module turned slightly side to side as he examined the Command Center. "Your perimeter security and internal countermeasures appear to be in order. I surveyed them as I entered Polyhex and the Tower."
They didn't stop me...but they would stop most anyone else on Cybertron. It was a typical tactic of Ravage's upon being sent to a Decepticon facility: he would sneak in, examining and checking the security measures in place as he did so. He was never detected, but that did not mean the security measures were inadequate. Ravage was very, very good at what he did.
"However, Commander Soundwave is concerned about the state of affairs here in Polyhex." After a brief pause, Ravage finished his statement, the barest hint of a feral grin on his bestial features. "As is Emperor Megatron."
Ruins of Polyhex - Near the Iacon Border
"Thanks for the assist, Scattershot!" Sunstreaker said somewhat sarcastically as the brawling Autobot flyer opened up on the Decepticons that had been dogging him. "But I prefer to fight my own battles."
He drew his neutron rifle from subspace and turned, drawing a bead on Jadewind. The golden Autobot noticed that Bluestreak was drawing her fire, and though taking some of the focus off of the gunner was a secondary benefit of choosing Jadewind as a target, Sunstreaker was more interested in padding his own combat record - as he always was. War was a numbers game to him. He didn't fight for the excitement of it, or because he cared especially for the Autobot Cause. He fought to have the best record, the most wins - the most kills. Sunstreaker was very good at this numbers game. His combat record was almost as pretty as he was, which was certainly saying something.
"Come down here and play with me," he snarled at Jadewind as he targeted her engine section and opened fire with the powerful neutron gun. Hopefully he could bring her down to his level, where he could put his other combat skills to good use.
Meanwhile, from a considerable distance, a pair of very sharp red optics monitored the battle. Their owner, from his perch on top of a half-blasted communications spire in the thick of the ruins, watched with a detached, almost casual attitude - but missed not a single detail of what was happening.
Laserbeak never missed a thing.
