I have a quick question. I am buying the first version of PP-01 off someone for $50, how well do you think it fits in with Classics. I already own Classics Prime and the G3 trailer. Is PP-01 a good upgrade?

I own the Ultra Magnus version of this figure, and I'd say first and foremost that he's too tall to fit in with a Classics collection. I've never tried alt mode + G3 trailer, either. This guy is really for a Masterpiece collection, at the 9" scale (disregarding the initial Prime and Megatron pieces).
If you still end up buying this figure, make sure you can transform him without any issues. I remember several of the 1st run figures had breakage issues. iGear went back and did a second release which either had better plastics or engineering to fix the most recurring problems.

weird?i think faith leader does look in-scale and blend-in well along with classics line, albeit being slightly taller (he transforms into a truck,duh)..although he's almost the same size with classic optimus in truck mode..i say get him if u got the chance..
here's a scale reference...

I believe it all depends on what your tastes in classics/neo-G1 amounts to. Given that most early classics designs tended to deviate quite a bit from their G1 counterparts compared to a few later ones, I tend to forgo the necessity for greater accuracy versus what just looks better/good enough. Quite frankly I actually don't like the rather simplistic design of G1 Optimus myself, and furthermore feel the first masterpiece design was entirely crap, and to have that at a smaller size versus just sticking with Henkei OP is an easily answered question.
That's just me though. If accuracy is an object to you, or(primus forbid) scale, then go ahead.

It's FunPub. It's their specialty.

don't take that to mean I'm a killjoy just because I can be, though...
