Looks like each comes with an armory of weapons. My Junkions needed some different toys besides axes. Any word on when our stateside online stores are getting their stock?

The pics didn't load completely for me then. They weren't there for me to see before looking again. Just trying to be helpful. Roll with it, I don't do it often. ;)

Man, those look like G1 perfection! The ONLY thing preventing me from getting these is the possibility Takara might do MP versions of these guys. I would feel quite the fool if I bought these and that happened. But man, they do look good, and fit in nicely scale-wise with the MP series.

I was also afraid that when I ordered but then I thought that it will certainly be some time until it happens. They look so awesome so I can not wait for it to happen.

yeah, looks like they fit Masterpieces pretty well. Comparison with Inferno suggests they're pretty well scaled for Classics too. Nicely done, iGear!

I'm uploading a video review of these two so stay tuned. To tide you over, I have typed up the bio's if you are interested. They have lots of references in them and are actually entertaining.

Weapon Specialist

From peaceful industrial Farm-'bot to Police Force, the road to Weapon Specialist was a long and arduous journey.

Fresh from his protoform, he was designated a life-time of agricultural work on the Energon farms of Broga-957, working with a small cluster of fellow farm-'bots, generations of whom were birthed from the same protoform batch.

His life was changed one day upon seeing his first flying 'bot, but wonder changed to terror as the flying 'bot razed the land, destroyed many Energon vaporators and left several Farm-'bots as charred husks of wire and twisted metal. From that day, Weapon Specialisy vowed to leave his homestead and protect his homeland.

Against his friends wishes, he gave up everything to enlist in the Police Force. Despite bullying at the hands of hot-headed recruits, who picked on him for his cyber-rural background, he strived to improve himself, pushing harder, faster than the other 'bots. He passed all of the tests with flying colours, grace and and civility, earning the notice of an Elite Cadre of guards, and en route earned his famous nick-name due to his "nothing can upset me" facade and gentle personality - nothing cout faze the 'bot with the bright future, and no insults could penetrate his armoured hide.

Finally the day came, and like all Police units he was due to be upgraded to the standard police 256-OZU-004 body-type. It was meant to be the biggest day of his life and the start of an illustrious career, however during the spark-transplant procedure something went wrong...

An attack on the centre during the critical moment of spark extraction almost claimed his life, but instead left his body incomplete and malformed. His head missing? His face in his chest? His arms, by his waist? No rotor manoeuvrability in his legs?

He was put on spark support, and trapped in that body for 26 long cycles. Finally, after years of waiting, an experimental procedure by a Medical Specialist who was afflicted by the very same uncommon condition freed them both and made them mold brothers.

After vast cycles trapped in his hideous body, during which time he was passed over for the best Guard unit, Weapon Specialist's once jolly demeanour has been replaced with that of a gruff pragmatist, one who has set out to make a name for himself and re-invent himself as a Weapon Specialist, siding with a new leader, a leader he has faith in, who has stood up and taken charge, voicing his opinion against the council to warn about the coming tide of evil...

But that was just the start...

The first of many.

Mecdical Specialist

All Medical Specialist ever wanted to do was help 'bots, and to that end he devoted his spark to science.

His proudest moment came as he became understudy to a famous scientist, and for mega-cycles the two studied the robotic form, creating a better understanding of mechanical life and pioneering the entire science beind CR chambers. Over time, his master grew more and more disturbed, wanting to experiment and dismember live species and try strange experiments, to see if he could even create life itself.

When Medical Specialist objected he made one mistake, he tried to talk to his mentor rather than alerting the authorities, leaving his cruel master only one logical solution: using Medical Specialist as a live experiment, he attempted to split his one spark amongst many duplicate bodies. The science was far ahead of it's time and beyond comprehension, and as testiment to the pairs work, it almost succeded, but the huge amounts of raw energy resulted in a massive backlash, destroying the hand and burning out the opic sensor of his now Cyclopean master and trapping Medical Specialist in a horribly twisted, malformed shell. No head. Stubs for arms. His surgeons hands destroyed. Unable to even transform into a vehicle form intact.

For years, Medical Specialist roamed the wastelands, a half-dead, half alive "empty" until one day, an engineering 'bot recognised his former saviour and endeavored to help. Together, the two used left over Cyber-Ballast (Kibble as it has become known) to patch his vehicle mode and, working witha third party, created a technique known as parts forming, in an attempt to recreate a head.

It was too little to late for Medical Specialist, bat at least he was now able to communicate without fellow 'bots having to look through his chest cavity. Re-vitalised, he returned to his life's work, determined to fix this blight which affected only a small minority in their otherwise magnificent culture.

His first major experiment worked, saving a volunteer Police Officer from a doomed exisence, the two have since become good friends and allies. Determined to find all others who are also afflicted, Medical Specialist has already started working on several different molds but not before successfully turning the experiment on himself.

But this was just the start...

The second of many.

How can they scale well with Classics and Masterpiece? They look nice posed with certain characters in both lines but they look too big for classics (Esp when you stand them next to the seeker mold)and too small for masterpiece (when pose next to MP-01) they line they fit with Best is IGEAR's PP line.

On the fence ATM. can't wait for reviews

How can they not?

looks like they're about Voyager size. So will fit with Classics as a Voyager sized bot. Looks like they're up to new MP Prime's chest, so can fit there if people like the old toy scaling. They'll probably be around the same height as MP Sideswipe.

Here is my video review, its my first so there maybe times you can see it a bit amateur. I have even bigger respect for other reviewers such as Peaugh. I hope it answers some questions.

jings!
I'm glad you did the size comparisons, a head taller and a lot chunkier than Jazz is fine for my Classics. Only problem now is finding someplace that has them in stock and finding the money for them.

Don't like how the red Ratchet head is in with the instructions though. I really want that on him and it not being in the blister gives me the fear. Might put the grumpy IDW style face on Ironhide if I get him, and do like the options, but the standard faces are ok by me. Do sort of agree about the mass of accessories they come with, but it is nice to get the options and I can use a lot of those with other figures, if they're 5mm posts.

I don't know if you know, but iGear added the red head after these kept getting delayed. By that time I'm sure all the blisters were done so they would have had to redo them again and delay it even more. The boxes are sturdy and the instruction sheet is bagged. The head is well protected and should not cause any problems.

cheers, I actually didn't know that. The red head is the tipping point for me, actually. It's the comic book style Ratchet that I grew up reading and being badass, as opposed to the guy who got killed in the first few minutes of the film.

Gosh these guys do look really good. I was going to hold out for Arsenal Primus cause he fits better classics size wise.

Can you pose him /mis-transform so he is maybe a head smaller than classics prime?

Also what is up with those long plastic panels behind his arms, can you take them off or are those in there permanently? It doesn't look too bad until you lift his arm up to pose with a gun and it is just dangling there?

You could lower the thighs into the lower legs a bit more but you will sacrifice articulated knees for a different height. Beyond that, there is no way to mistransform him to stand shorter.
