Oh, yeah, the King of Men wouldn't be pleased.
Really, does anyone remember that he preached Love and Peace?

You have to take the spin for what it is. The Indians were most likely going to cleanse the area for the summit regardless of whether Bush was there or not. I would imagine it is a ritual for them before any Gathering.
It's amazing, you throw Bush in the sentence and everyone goes ape $h-t. Who is this 'Official'? What ties does he have to the group. Maybe he's an official turd. Maybe his buddies grandfather is a member of the 'group'. The article doesn't offer any of that info.
A little more assurance is needed before one can ultimately believe the cleansing is because of Bush.

Eh, I just wanted to steal the thunder of "outrageous" bashing post first, before the anti Bush leauge could get theirs in.
Didn't quite make it, but still had fun.

Strikes me as odd that they'd invite him if they thought he was going to bring "bad spirits".
Anyway, a local Maori tribe managed to con a large sum of money out of the govt to go spray their version of holy water over a nasty stretch of road way to purify the place and send on the "trapped spirits".
Why I have absolutely no care for what the Maoris think in regards to spirits and deities I do find it rather PC and down right hypocrtical that a supposed secular govt. would fork over tax dollars to fund a ceremony of a particular faith. If I asked the NZL govt to fund my confirmation or some other Catholic shin dig they'd tell me to piss off.
Something memorable here.
