we all know the mindless morons will go see these movies, its pretty much resident evil all over again. those movies are horrible but they still get made. Plus bay has no idea how to apeal to the fan & the average moron on the street, still say these movies will never amount to anything until bay is gone. As long as he has control over it they will never be good. And since they make money hasbro will never step in even if they make a mockery of this almost 30 year old franchise.

Given that I, and other members of this site, will be seeing these movies, you might want to watch what you call us. After all, you are insulting members and that will result in a warning. :D

That goes for everyone. If you don't like the movies and don't want to see them, that's fine. But don't resort to insulting those people (both forum members and the general public) that will be seeing them.

Actually, he didn't insult you. He said stupid people would go to see the movie. He didn't say people who would go see the movie are stupid. There's a substantial difference.

I could fairly say "we all know Americans will go see these movies", but that does not imply that, because you will go see it, you are not Australian (if I recall correctly).

Of course, if you really hate these movies, then his assertion that stupid people will go see them could be taken as an insult towards stupid people. But I think you'd have to hate the movie on the level of chubby-old-film-critic hatred.

I was stupid WAY before I ever saw a movie at all.

No, he just decided to toss a blanket statement across everyone who might go and see the films, claiming lack of intelligence is the only way a person could enjoy them. It's still an insult. Period.

Except he didn't. The words did not come out of his mouth (metaphorically). He did not say that.

Do you make it a practice in every day conversation to edit other people's words so that you can make them offensive to yourself? I imagine not, so why do so here?

I'm looking forward to it. Any film that has giant sentient alien robots and mindless violence is OK with me. :D

Does it really matter whether they revisit old locations or not? So long as they don't show old footage or a mirror image of a previous shot.

As for Bay sticking around after 4, yeah it wouldn't surprise me, but I think it would kill my interest in any and all future Transformers movies. Yes, there are some awesome moments in these movies but I can't shake the feeling that they're nothing but a big joke to the guy.

If the next trilogy sticks to the same formulas as the first three then I'm sure Hasbro, Micheal, Paramount and Dreamworks will all make a lot of money but mine won't be among it.

His commentaries in TF1 and ROTF seem to support that, although I think he's learned to "behave" a little better after ROTF. DOTM feels like a much more "mature" movie compared to the earlier two. I admit there are still visible amounts of his trademark douchebag government agents, clinically insane comic relief characters, and military showcasing...but less of it, and noticeably toned down.

Like I've said in another thread, it's a small step in the right direction.
