I don't know about you but I don't carry my console around with me. I leave it on the floor at home. Honestly, if you're going to buy a friggin Xbox to play offline you're just straight-up stupid. It was designed for multiplayer and interaction between people over the internet. It kind of needs an internet connection.

No it does not transmit what you do the government. How is it an invasion of privacy? Turn it to look at the wall when you're done playing, problem solved.

The Wii failed for my generation since nobody my age (15) gives a **** about Nintendo. Maybe you older people do since you most likely grew up with Nintendo, but I can't stand the Wii and in my eyes, if failed.

Wow...... well with facts like that who can argue :HEADHURTS:

It's basically a fact. Since my generation, a generation in which basically nobody plays Wii, is dominant in the gaming society, the Wii U will not be anywhere near as successful as the PS4 or XB1.

The Wii U already has terrible sales if I remeber correctly right now the PS4 has close to the same amount of pre-orders as Wii U Console sales on launch

Let's be real here their are a certain number of people who play each system daily at different ages, and seriously do you think that out of the seven billion people in the world there won't be like one million 13-18 year olds who still play Wii?

Viruscarnage 3.45 million Wii us have sold as of March. So not quite 1 million units a month are sold worldwide, which is definitely below Nintendo's expectations.

Unless they've changed it, they charge $10 a month and you get full access to Live.

Which still amounts to 120 dollars a year compared to 50 dollars a year for PSN+.

On the PlayStation you pay nothing and get full access to PSN, except online multiplayer, for which you'll have to get PSN+, which as I stated before comes with all this amazing extra stuff, for about 4.16 dollars a month.

That 4.16 dollars a month buys you more than XBox Live.

Even if you turn it to face the wall, the microphone is still on, listening in on what you say.
Also, why should I be forced to connect to the internet, just so I can play a single player game? And how would that make me stupid? Why not just connect it to the internet when you actually want to use the internet content? Isn't it stupid to have it on at all times, even if all you want to do is watch a DVD/ Blu-Ray?

Also you 15 year olds are not the dominant generation in "gaming society", all polls point to the 30 something crowd being the largest demographic when it comes to gaming.

Also this data collection does make its way to the US Government, go read a newspaper, watch the news, there is this scandal that's currently very popular. ;)

Exactly, and do you really want Big Brother watching you from there? I know I don't.

And if single player games didn't exist, you might have a point. And I'd start listing off hugely successful games that didn't feature multiplayer (Bioshock Infinite leaps to mind the quickest, so there you go; Arkham City and Skyrim followed close behind) but looking at your uh..."arguments" so far, you'd just brush them off in favor of uh..."games" like Call of Duty.

But boy oh boy, that's just "straight-up stupid" of me to enjoy those games for the rich single-player experience, huh? But yeah, go back to your Call of Duty: Rehashed Ops 5 or whatever.

prowl123 wrote:No it does not transmit what you do the government.

Yes it does, Microsoft confirmed as much.

By transmitting what you're doing to the US Government. I know this is a bit complicated for you, but try to keep up.

prowl123 wrote:Turn it to look at the wall when you're done playing, problem solved.

Oh, brilliant idea! Genius! Oh wait, it's only working while I'm playing. That fact that it's doing it at all is a serious issue.

Your generation isn't the dividing line between success and failure, nor is your opinion of the console. Sales are, and Wii out-shined both of its competitors.

If you don't like my opinions then don't reply. It's in the rules forum. You should probably review them. Opinions are allowed if they're wrong or not.

Anyways, if the Kinect only works while your playing then why is it a problem? Oh wait, IT'S NOT. It's only a problem if you blatantly murder somebody or smoke pt in front of it. Do you kill people and smoke pot? I find it unlikely. I'd really like to see a video where Microsoft confirms that it transmits to the government because otherwise, I don't believe you. What branch of the government would even give a ****? The FBI? Probably not. Homeland security? Possibly but unlikely.

Anyways, take a look at this: http://www.cnbc.com/id/100810130 and this: http://www.mcvuk.com/news/read/ps4-over ... ts/0117015 and then tell me the Wii U will win. I have discovered that the original Wii had more sales but I honestly don't care too much.

On the contrary it is a problem because most teenagers like myself don't like the idea of it always being able to see and hear you, and that could cause security issues.

I? I don't like the Wii. I find the controllers too small and glitchy, the graphics are sub-par, and it's basically useless unless you play Nintendo games, which I do not. At the time I didn't know it sold better than the Xbox, I do now.

Console war ends here. I'm leaving it where it stands.
