I finally got a Jafcon Convoy. I was very excited about receiving this item after all of this time until I opened it up to inspect it. Indeed, it looks black, but if you shine light on it at some angles you can see that some of the black plastic is a blackish/brown with a gold sparkle/look to it. The trailer has this same effect, except for the black plastic bar on the underside of the trailer. Roller utilizes the plain black plastic as well. I own the actual KO that many sellers try to pass off as the legit thing so I'm able to compare it the version I own to a KO. The stickers, including the chromed sticker that is absent from the KO, is indeed present and looks identical to other legit versions of Optimus Prime that I own. The KO is entirely black plastic, which is what I was expecting with Jafcon. I've just never heard anyone comment on the black plastic having a gold glitter effect to it in certain light, and can't seem to find anyone commenting on it in their reviews, so it concerns me. However, the pic of Jafcon Convoy at
http://opmegs.blogspot.com/2011/03/01-o ... leted.html appears to have the same look that mine has.
Does anyone else own this figure? Can you comment on whether or not this is common for this version of Convoy/Optimus Prime? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
The paint directly above the windshields is screwed up. Do you think this was a factory defect, someone touched up the paint, or is this a screw up from someone painting the chest. The rest of the paint looks perfect like it should.
On the upper left arm in the above pic, you can see the gold sparkle effect in this black plastic.

The black plastic bar on the underside of the trailer is plain black plastic, as is Roller. However, the rest of the trailer is this gold sparkled black plastic that concerns me.
As you can see, the packaging is the correct packaging for a Jafcon Convoy. The instructions and sticker sheet appear to be correct as well, or at least it's correct for the first reissue of Convoy.
