Well, It wasn't shown it ROTF that the matrix was destroyed when Sam pushed it inside Optimus chest. I think it was placed in front of his spark

You forgot that The Fallen took the Matrix from Prime to activate the Solar Harvester. I guess it's safe to say that Prime retrieved it from the ruins of the Harvester.

That would be the assumption. What I would have like to know is whether Sentinel was truly dead or in stasis, in the latter situation how could the Fallen have returned if there was another Prime still ticking on the moon, but I'm giving too much credit to the story by analyzing this much into it.

I find it funny that the Matrix was used mostly as a defibrillator than some artifact of awesome power.

Sentinel was in stasis. Ratchet said his life signs were faint. The Fallen didn't know Sentinel Prime was on the Moon. Or at the very least, it was never said. Megatron was the mastermind behind everything, and I'm sure he kept The Fallen out of the loop when necessary.

The Matrix has always been a plaything. Whether as a source of unstoppable power and wisdom, or a defib, it's always been a plaything. They write it in and use it whenever and however they feel like.

Even G1 is guilty of that.

They made it seem like the Fallen was imprisoned until the last Prime was dead, like some mystical bondage or something like that. If Sentinel wasn't dead then there was still one last Prime, therefor the Fallen could not break his bonds or whatever.

No mystical bondage. A Prime was the only one strong enough to stop him. Optimus was the only one able to defeat him. The Fallen had little strength due to millennia of Energon starvation, plus he was beaten severely in his final battle with his brothers. After the beatdown and no sustenance, he was pretty much done for if another Prime got his hands on him. The rest of the Autobots and Decepticons had no power over him, however.

Even with Sentinel being alive, he was in stasis and therefore no threat.

No mystical bondage required.

I think of wizards playing kinky games whenever I read "mystical bondage". Stop saying that.

Also if I may offer my theory: These Cybertronian artifacts seem to be made to last, if the Allspark could survive the heat of atmospheric re-entry and the impact of slamming into a planet at a thousand miles per hour, then it's probably safe to say that something like the Matrix can survive something as petty as a giant explosion. So it could easily be picked up from the ruins of a destroyed alien star-harvester.

The way I see it, The Fallen knew about the deal with Sentinel, and therefor saw Sentinel as being no threat to him.

That makes a lot of sense to me.

I kinda thought that The Fallen, like everyone else except Megatron, thought that Sentinel had been killed and that the Ark was lost...

Not even Starscream knew about Sentinel - even if he did know about the Ark - so since Screamer had to go find The Fallen in between movies, it's plausible that Megatron's master didn't know about it either.

Sentinel was weak, only a artifact like the Matrix could revitalize him.He was so damaged that the Decepticons didnt see him as an option till Optimus recovered the Matrix

Did anyone else notice that Optimus could make the Matrix levitate? I'm pretty sure I saw it when he used it on Sentinel and when he offered it to him. So does that mean that Optimus has also this telekinetic control over matter like the Dynasty? Or was it just The Matrix?

Okay well this is what I wanna know how did megatron know that sentinal was on the moon and all these deals were made after he crashed into earth WAY before 1963, adn was "thawed" in 2006 or 7 and how did they know to make deals with the humans to shut them up about what was on the moon, you mean to tell me star scream was the only one out of the loop for that? I thought megatron was just after the all spark? he was after both?

My assumption is that some of the Decepticons knew about the deal and some didn't. Megatron and Sentinel's time in stasis threw off their plan until Megatron discovered that Sentinel was still alive a short time before the movie happened.

Suppose Devastator could beat him? If it's a strength thing alone.

Devastator is on his side.
