just curious what everyone else does. i plan on going to comicon this year and plan on filling a few holes in some of my collections and wondered how you guys transport your hauls back home. do you ship it before you leave,take it on the plane with you or is there some other means that may be better. im flying in from the east coast and was just curious

I actually had a nightmare one year where I used a shipping service in a hotel and never got one of the two boxes I shipped home. Having said that, I also had a bag get temporarily lost that I checked so mistakes can happen either way.

Honestly I think the best strategy if you can pull it off is to pack a second empty duffle bag inside your first bag/suitcase. Then when you get the goodies, put them in the empty bag and take them back with you. As far as which back to check, check the one that has the less expensive stuff in it (which will probably be the ones with your clothes, lol)

I do it the other way around, I try to have it where the majority of my cloths fit on the carry on and have a near empty suitcase for purchases.

The advantage to having the toys on the carry-on is they never leave your sight.
