and I'm not accusing you of anything, I just dont believe that these particular scenes are out there,.

Yeah, like I said, I don't expect you to. I'm the only one in this thread saying "I actually remember seeing ___________" instead of "I heard about that from someone who knew a guy..." and I know what position that puts my word in, since some people claim to remember Optimus crumbling or Magnus getting quartered in the actual Movie, but I'm also fully aware of what I saw.

Actully, I'm still more confounded that the '85 script draft seems to have so thoroughly disappeared from the net, and fans' consciousness. What, does cloud-storage actually link to our brains or something? If so, the escalating intellectual property wars that claimed Megaupload are gonna' get REALLY ugly...

I don't know how true it is but I've read that Megatron shot him through a window after he'd sniped Bombshell. It would explain why Bombshell wasn't with the other Insecticons munching on the doors.

Dang, I wish I could remember the site that had all these storyboards, since I know the one you're talking about. It's left unclear if Megatron's blast hits him or he dodges though, and the snippet from the early draft I quoted above mentions him escaping the fate of Gears and Windcharger, which clears up nothing.

If only he'd been fatally snapped in half at the waist while transforming...

EDIT:
Here, I found it! Scroll down about 3 screens:

http://randomhoohaas.flyingomelette.com ... susa/mdel/

But this site still isn't the comprehensive one I was thinking of. I know I've seen a gallery of every single storyboard picture that deviated the least bit from what we saw in the movie, right down to Soundwave picking up Megatron, but being told, "Enshrine me, Soundwave!", even though the life sparks had been pretty muck excised by that point.

Does anyone reading this remember that site? It would clear up a lot of third hand information in this thread. (if not what I was going on about before)

Excellent work sir. That's the one I remember although I think there's another site which also mentions Inferno.

This is a special little surprise, and I'm thankful it's been shared.

More brutal death scenes for the win, and being torn apart by energy tethers makes Magnus seem like less of a [derogatory name for a cat] than a few laser shots.

As for breaking up Optimus' repelling of the Decepticons, I think they were right to cut it. I can't believe they wanted Magnus to roll up and offload Autobots in the midst of battle. Why wouldn't they get themselves there? And they stand up to Devastator but do a runner from the Constructicons? Does not compute.

Good to know what Megatron was doing though when confronted by Optimus. I've always wondered about that one.

I would have loved to have seen the dinobots defeat devestator.

Technically these arent deleted "scenes". Theyre more like deleted "script". A scene has to exist before it can be deleted. You really gotta be an avid comic book reader to unbderstand whats going on in the picture and tie it in to the existing animation. I cant really make it out. Bu it is nice that they did this. I can see they put alot of effort into the project.

As someone who intends to go into the animation business, this was highly interesting.
