20 dollars?!!! holy crap thats crazy. over here 3D movies are just 2 or 3 dollars more than the 2D counterpart so they're around 12 or 13 dollars. if 20 bucks is a common price point around the world, no wonder people complain about the prices and no wonder hollywood keeps doing it to make more money.

i would literally refuse to see any 3D movie if i had to pay 10 dollars more...damn. i guess canada is good for something after all. lol

Hehe, true enough. Its kind of annoying coz if you want to see it in Ultra AVX, you have to see it in 3D. But they do have normal theatres with Digital projectors for 2D, so thats good, and its normal cost.

I refuse to see movies in 3D usually, but Alice in Wonderland was an exception due to the fact the 3D really wasn't popping out of the screen, it seemed to add more depth to the mid-ground and background which was pretty neat.
Anyway, why else do you think Michael Bay was so adamant about getting us to see it on a high quality 3D screen in the thank you letter he wrote? He's probably getting a cut of theater sales, and if we all follow like the sheep he thinks we are, his pockets get deeper due to people thinking the 3D adds so much to a movie when it could end up detracting. I have a feeling DotM is like this just because of how the last two were filmed.

Then again, the price could just be because I live in Florida, or as the rest of the US knows it, "Heaven's Waiting Room".

Is this movie also being shown on a digital 2D projector in addition to the standard projector? I LOVE those things, saw the first Twilight in a theater with a digital projector and was just in love with how clear the picture was. Went to a "higher quality" theater *coughcough*Regal*coughcough* and they only showed TF1 and 2 on the standard projector. Suffice to say, the dirt and film scratches were annoyingly visible.

That is correct, both types. Yea, the digi projectors are amazing, supreme improvement. But yea, its lame with 3D coz the picture seems dimmer (probably why Bay insisted the theatres up their brightness settings). I honestly stopped noticing the 3D after a while; it simply made potentially awesome scenes more dulled and mushy. I think I will like the movie a bit more in 2D, despite how much I didn't really like it, hehe. I think the thing I liked most about the movie is how bada$$ the Decepticons appeared for the first half of the movie.

I was none the wiser, and now I am the wiser, I dont mind at all. Its only a couple of tiny scenes people. On the other hand if it had Ewen Mcgregor running around then thats a different story.

Because it wasn't good. It was ****, just like every other movie he's made. Boring, flashy, and lacking in any redeeming qualities: That's Michael Bay.

As for the 3D issue, I refuse to see them because the glasses always give me migranes. The fact that I save money not seeing them is only a bonus.

On the reused footage: I did consider bashing Bay some more with it, but I figured it was too easy. Who f---ing cares. It happens. If the movie's good, it won't detract from it. If it's bad, it can't possibly make it worse. At most it's an uninteresting side-note.

Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Bad acting, barely there plot, lots of explosions, buildings faling over, CGI robots fighting. I don't find explosions and action just for the sake of explosions and action entertaining. There has to be something more to the movie than that, and that's not something Michael Bay is capable of.

There was nothing that engaged my brain. Therefore, nothing that entertained me. Therefore, it was boring. I actually dozed off at a couple of points, and when I was shaken awake I didn't see any reason to believe I'd missed anything.

Because they have dreads. That means they're able to run fast. :P

Would you care to explain why exactly people with dreadlocks are, in your opinion, inherently fast runners?

if you foudn it boring you found it boring, sly has no right to question that. the 20 minutes slipping and sliding in the building got dull quick. the endless comedy scenes got boring quick

anyway i couldnt care less about recycled scenes, i will bash bay when aggrieved but this doesnt really bother me much at all.

I would hate to meet someone whose enjoyment was affected by this

we got recycled scenes and while this doesnt bother me what iritates the hell out of me is how the hell did bb,que and dino get surrounded? i mean one minute bb rescuing sam and lennox from a falling ss and the next hes going to be executed? wtf bay that wouldve been something to see not carly staring into space as a car blows up behind her.

While watching Revenge of the Fallen with the commentary, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci point out they reused footage from Eagle Eye and Mission: Impossible III around the 1 hour & 49 minute mark.

Exactly, WTF IS WITH THAT? So retarded. Such little focus on the bots, which is why I can only name like 3 scenes I actually dug. lets see:

(1) Highway scene with BB transforming to and from bot mode while protecting sam.
(2) Laserbeak and the rest of the Decepticons in the field (mostly coz laserbeak kills an earth bird) :CON:
(3) Mexican Standoff with Ironhide and Sideswipe and Decepticon Drones.
+ Megatron trashing the Abraham lincoln statue and then a buncha even shorter scenes like the intro scene on Cybertron, the Decepticon attack crafts shooting down drones, and the bot in the street with 4 legs shooting humans... Yea, that about covers the movies only good parts, haha.

It had better acting than the first 2. And there definitely was a plot. If there was no plot, there would be no movie.

I never said there was no plot, I said it was barely there. If there was more than that, I must have slept through it, which doesn't say much for the movie,

And, incidentally, it is possible to make a movie without a plot. I've seen a couple of them. They weren't good either.

Agree, there's no plot...unless someone told the vaguely "history" is a plot...

The plot is that Megatron wants to use Sentinel and the space bridge to bring cybertron to earth to use human labour to fix it. Seriously, its the most idiotic punchline to a joke. Human labour to fix cybertron? :HEADHURTS: and then only part of Cybertron shows up being HUGE compared to earth...

Maybe if Megatron said he wanted to transport Decepticons to earth to kill the Autobots/gather energon to aid in rebuilding Cybertron, that'd make more sense.

Totally right! the humans may looks like ants on Cybertron...and the finish the job...when? 1000 or 2000 years later?

These movies don't lack plot and that which they have are perfectly serviceable for this type of movie.

The problem arises when you shove a bunch of story lines into a movie at one time without focusing on any.

When a movie needs a character to explain to other characters just what is occurring and why, a basic premise of storytelling has been lost.
