Just a quick reminder, the Hub will be airing an exclusive sneak peek at their series Transformers Rescue Bots today at 12 – 1 p.m. ET.
The Hub TV Network has some news to share about "Transformers Rescue Bots," the upcoming new animated Transformers series, created specifically for younger viewers. A sneak peek of the first two episodes of the new original half-hour series “Transformers Rescue Bots” will be presented Saturday, December 17, from 12 – 1 p.m. ET. The Hub wanted your site to be among the first to know. The series will officially premiere in early 2012. We've included the series logline below, and the series logo is attached. More information and images will follow in the coming weeks.
Created for the younger generation of Transformers fans, the new series from the creators of “Transformers Prime” will feature a simpler, more traditional animation style in a show that centers on a group of Autobots charged by Optimus Prime himself with protecting and learning about humans while stationed on an island off the Eastern seaboard that serves as a high-tech testing ground. Voice talent include Steve Blum (voice of Starscream on “Transformers Prime”), John DiMaggio (voice of Bender on “Futurama”), Maurice LaMarche (voice of Morbo and Calculon on “Futurama”), Lacey Chabert ("Party of Five") and LeVar Burton (“Star Trek: The Next Generation”).
We're excited about having the new series AND season two of “Transformers Prime” on The Hub’s schedule early next year!
"Transformers Rescue Bots" Series Logline: From the creators of "Transformers Prime" comes an all-new animated series following a group of Autobots charged with a mission to protect and learn about humans. Stationed on an island off the Eastern seaboard by Optimus Prime, the "Transformers Rescue Bots" – Heatwave, Boulder, Blades and Chase – team with a human family of first responders including a police chief, firefighter, rescue pilot and engineer to maintain peace and safety in their new found home. Alongside their new human friends, the Transformers Rescue Bots learn teamwork and heroism in a series that brings action, adventure, heart, and humor to the Transformers brand.
Just saw it, or at least, the last ten minutes or so. Really reminicent of the go-bots in both design and animation. Really corny, easy to understand. Overall, it's a show for little kids. It wasn't bad, but without the D-Cons, it's just not interesting to me.
My PSN: BeastProwl Digibashes and everything else to that degree are on a hiatus right now.

I just don't get the change in the style approach. The robot heads are nothing like the toys, except for Bulkhead. Whereas these toys are really kid friendly and the toys are really cute, the cartoon 'bots look like robots with beady little eyes. The toy line and corresponding packaging art and books are really cute and friendly looking, kind of like a super deformed look (for lack of a better comparison currently).
The story, voice acting, etc ... was what I was more-or-less expecting. The show had a more serious tone to it, and I was surprised they showed Cybertron at the beginning as well as delved into some of the Transformers mythos (stasis lock, protoforms, scanning, etc). The show, surprisingly, could easily fit into any of the Transformers continuities.
Well, as long as the kids like it ... that's actually what matters most. My 2.5 year old daughter loved it and was initially holding her Optimus Prime Rescue Bots toy while watching and then switched to her Heatwave toy when he became more prominent. Every time they transformed she cheered "woo hoo" and "wow!". She was transfixed the entire time.
She would've been transfixed had the style remained from the packaging art and books.
Current Want List: Beast Wars Returns Strika, Sixknight (stickers or replacement), Browning, Dai Atlas, Guard City, Battle Gaia, Marlboro Wheeljack, and more!
The new show is a hit! I thoroughly enjoyed it. So did all my younger siblings 16, 14, and 11. The voice acting was good. The animation style while different was enjoyable. The human characters were believable and likable. I will be watching this show develop with excitement! If there were a few corny moments it was still better than 95% of the "adult" shows out there.

I tried to like it, I really did, but...eh. It was beyond corny, and I don't like the idea of transformers interacting SOLELY with humans. Its no fun with out decepticons.
That being said, I'll still watch it. If I could get through Energon, I'll get through this

In case anyone missed the The two rescue bots episodes that aired saturday. Both rescue Bots episodes will repeat itself this sunday. I'm from the EST time zone. so rescue bots will repeat this sunday for my EST Time zone at 9:00 am & end at 10:00 am.
since this is the hub network. I can only assume these first two rescue bots episodes will keep repeating themselves over & over.
Out of all the Series of TF, this would go above RID, Armada, and Energon. It was more mature than I though I'd be, which was nice, the Humans were surprisingly some of the most tolerable humans from Transformers to me, the animation was better than I expected by far, and as expected, the voice acting was superb. Overall, great show, and I'm definitely going to be watching it.
According to Optimus, Cybertron has fallen. Could this series also be set in the Aligned Continuity?
"Rescue Force Sigma 17" is what these newcomers are called.
Argh! Once again, like the "Darkness Rising" premiere before it, Rescue Bots gets shafted in the theme song department.
Sorry, this particular note is not about the episode itself, but ZOMG TF: Prime season 2 commerical! Not much was shown that we haven't already seen. The only really new piece of material was Knock Out's voice saying "Welcome to he winning team." Also given was the airdate of "February 2012". Okay, back to the Rescue Bots episode.
Um... hello old guy with... helicopter hat. Mr. Harrison...
I can see this show taking place before the Prime cartoon (if it is set in the same world, that is).
Blades has the same heights phobia as G1 Silverbolt and WFC Silverbolt.
Seems like Chief Charlie Burns will play a similar role to Agent Fowler's role as human-Autobot liaison in this series.
So, the town's name is Griffin Rock, and it's known for its advances in technology kinda like Detroit in Animated (only not as extravagant). Guess this explains that hat from before.
The Rescue Bots pretend to be human-made automatons sent by the U.S. Government instead of real lifeforms, so as to not cause panic.
All four of the Bots have different human partners than what the toyline has. Though, both Chief Charlie Burns and Cody Burns are in the toyline, Charlie is partnered with Chase (instead of Optimus), and Cody's the tag along kid. Heatwave is partnered with Kade Burns (instead of Cody), Blades with Dani Burns (instead of Sawyer Storm), and Boulder with Graham Burns (instead of Walker Cleveland). Also, the toys have Charlie as a fire chief, but the show has him as a police chief.
Boulder is totally an expy of Bulkhead.
Cody Burns = male Sari Sumdac (and a fraction of Bud from Cybertron).
I like Heatwave. He knows when acting like a zombie is too silly.
Okay, how exactly did some water leaking into its circuits cause an animatronic T-Rex with no known supernatural (i.e. - Cybertronian) properties to come to life and go on rampage?
Despite not having any Deceptcions, that was still a pretty enjoyable fight against the T-Rex.
Ha! Nice reveal at the end.
Pretty good first episode. Great atmosphere, likable characters, a fair amount of characterization, and it felt like a true beginning. I give it an A.

Episode 2 -
Whoa! While episode 1 got the short end of the stick, episode 2 gets the full blown theme song! And it's... a rap... and long. Though, once it gets to the chorus, it gets a little catchy. But, it does need some work to be better. At least it's an actual song with actual energy, unlike TF: Prime's mellow opening. And, it kinda reminds me of the song "You're the Best" from The Karate Kid. And one more thing to note about it is that, for once, it's NOT another variation of the typical Transformers theme song, being completely unique and original.
LOL at Chase giving the Robo-Landscaper the Miranda Rights.
Hey, Chase transformed from vehicle to robot an back again with Charlie inside, who was seemingly uneffected by it. A historic moment in TF fiction history!
And so did Heatwave! Though, here, Kade appears cramped and pressed up against the windshield on Heatwave's chest.
Optimus: "I have found that the young of this species are the most valuable allies." - Did Optimus just reference Jack, Miko, and Raf? Maybe this could take place during TF: Prime season 1 (off screen)?
So saw that coming with Boulder ripping off the pinball plunger.
I like that they give Cody a purpose in this show, instead of just being the token human sidekick.
Why is LeVar Burton using an accent for Doc Green? Why not just use his natural voice? It sounds way cooler. Here, however, he sounds like an aged Kwame from Captain Planet.
Okay, what genius leaves an artificial volcano active when it isn't in use? Was there no one instructed to keep its lava pressure in check? In fact, why did they leave the lava in that fake volcano if the World's Fair had been over since 1939? If there's no more need for its use, then dispose of the lava already. Don't keep it if it's going to be an obvious safety hazard.
After stopping the lava at the volcano, the lava has instead decided to go kill Cody at the bunker... things just got real!
Self-sacrificing heroes about to be charred to death by lava. Are we sure this is for preschoolers?
Yes, I know they don't die, but these dangers they're facing are quite lethal to be all that friendly for toddlers.
Well, a very strong episode in characterization and such. Another A.

Overall, this show has far exceeded my expectations. I was expecting something along the mindset of the Playskool Go-Bots cartoon (which I re-watched right before watching this), but this blows that out of the water. This was GOOD! Very good, indeed. Much more entertaining than I found "Darkness Rising" to be on the first watch. While it was a bit silly, cheesy, and weird at times, it had acceptable animation, a lovable atmosphere, superbly written characters/characterization, above par acting, wonderful writing, and a great sense of fun and endearment. I will watch this show when it officially debuts later in 2012.

Sabreblade, thanks for the Rescue bots u-tube links. I missed saturdays premeir & thru these u-tube links I was able to see these 2 episodes.
I really like these rescue bots episodes. they have a similar joking formula that super hero squads has.
I love the rescue bots intro theme song. I think the last transformers cartoon we had with a theme song with so many words in it was the "RID/Robots in disguise 2001 intro theme song.
I really enjoyed the human partnerships with the rescue bots. this reminded me of the Rebirth season 4 nebulans & transformers team work/partnerships.

Okay not really a spoiler. it's just my random guess. I think the bumblebee rescue bots toy is gonna arrive on the earth after a few episodes have passed. I think & i'm guessing that Cody the human boy will partner up & drive with bumblebee. i'm guessing bumblebee will arrive on earth in episode #12 & it'll be a 2 parter intro episode with some heavy fighting to make bumblebee prove he's worthy to be in the cartoon in the viewers eyes.
I'm gonna take another wild guess & say,the rescue bots toys will get repackaged & come with the proper partner humans in the rescue bots cartoon series.
I'm gonna take bolder guesses & say if theirs a season 2 & 3,then we might see some decepticons in the rescues cartoon series & toy line.
Personally,I think the skies the limit for this rescue bots cartoon series & toy line. i'm gonna guess if their a season 2 or 3,then we might see the rescue bots combine to form a gestalt combiner in the cartoon series & toy line.

Ya, 'Bee has to come in soon. At least I hope so, comsidering they're already using him for the little "On Now" thing. I'm just hoping he talks.

I more or less took it as a broad Transformers reference, for all kid humans from the shows. It could be that, though. Hopefully we'll get some official info on the continuity soon, but until then, anything goes.

Agreed. All of the humans really have a purpose, which does make them waaay more tolerable.
Just a little note though, is anyone else sad that the dinos didn't end up somehow becoming the Dinobots? I was really hoping for a Grimlock Rescue Bot.
