Nice! ROTF Sideswipe does make a good movieverse Hot Rod.
One thing, though: what did you use to clear coat the fig? The finish looks a little grainy.
But other than that, the paint job's nice and clean. Good job!

It may seem grainy because I metalised colours. When metal bits catch the light they reflect it in all directions and on some photos it may seem there is grain on the figure however in reality bodywork is perfectly smooth. U used Citadel Clearcoat.

I see. In that case, you did an awesome on him.
BTW, the dry-brushed metal parts look very good.

That looks awesome, Rodimus is my fav. Can you think of any way to add a big yellow back spoiler?

Nice paint job, looks natural. I also like what you did with painting the underside of his car kibble yellow to give the look of his spoiler behind him.
Just curious though, why did you go for a stripe and not a flame for alt mode? It looks more like Dead End to me with the stripe.

Hot Rod is also my favourite tf character:-) I thought about spoiler, but i dropped the idea because it loooed odd in car mode. That' s why I painted kibble with yellow paint. In the begining I thought about flames however after doing some research I realised that flames, especially on the hood, don' t match modern sports cars. I believe stripes look much more natural and suits car better. I gave my Hot Rod yellow details on his chest, that have siilar shape to g1 flames. I think it's a good compromise:-)
