Before I start rambling, some of this might/can be regarded as spoiler, so proceed with caution, but I do not assume to be an expert! Far from one, in fact. I am trying to compile a list that is as comprehensive as possible regarding Cybertron's lineage of Primes, so that I may attempt to collect them all (more or less using some "other" figures as stand-in.) Here goes:

1. Primon (Alpha Prime)
2(?) 13 Primes
3. Guardian Prime
4. ...?...
5(?) Nova Prime
6. Nominus Prime
7. Sentinal Prime/Zeta Prime/ Sentinal Zeta Prime(?)
8. Optimus Prime
9. Rodimus Prime

Regarding Primon, supposedly Rodimus met him in the G1 cartoon; he was said to be older than Prima. Guardian Prime then comes along...did he come after Prima? Primon's placement then gets changed when Prima is revealed to be one of the 13 Primes...THE first creations of Primus. So who came first if the cartoon and the comics are canon? Am I missing something here?

Additionally, I am aware that Alpha Trion is one of the 13 in the Aligned contiuity. Since he IS one of the 13, shouldn't that make him a Prime as well? Even if he is not a Prime in Aligned, he is technically a multiversal character by virtue of being one of the 13. Therefore, Prime or no Prime? Answering this will help me determine whether I should collect Alpha Trion.

Was Zeta Prime a High Moon original character, or was he in the comics as well? Furthermore, is he now regarded as the same individual as Sentinel?

Although I do understand that, even while the comics are regarded as canon, they can and do contradict with the G1 cartoon. Heck, they even contradict with themselves. It's just nice to discuss the lore of the Primes and how they came about. I think someone like Furman should one day write a comprehensive arc about the Primes.

Discuss...help???

Okay let's see if I can help, the thirteen from prime are different from the thirteen in other fictions. Which makes sense as aside from aligned, the thirteen were added retroactively so none of the older fiction will make reference to them. Also comics and cartoons don't take place in the same universe (I am guessing you were talking about G1).

Also you missed off Vector Prime from the list. Zeta was Sentinel's successor
I believe...Or at least he was in the IDWverse.

As for alpha trion, he's different in each continuity

Thanks for the help. So the old Transformers G1 comics and the current RID and MTMTE from IDW do not take place in the G1 universe? That is bogus...

By the way, even outside of Aligned, Vector Prime has been confirmed to be one of the 13 Primes.

Question though..Where did it mention about older bots like that in the G1 cartoon. I'm having trouble remembering anything other then the quints
